Chapter 67 Part 2
After a busy day, Bai Ruogu and Su Mou finally returned home.
The sound of running water came from the bathroom as Su Mou sat alone on the bed, waiting.
Meanwhile, a lot of “data” was being extracted in the space, with various options available.
Several different consciousnesses were arguing, each trying to claim priority in this aspect.
By the time Bai Ruogu finished his bath, it was already past 9 PM. Wrapped in a towel and drying his wet hair with another, he exuded the fresh scent of body wash.
Su Mou could clearly smell this scent. The impending situation made his whole body stiffen, almost causing him to crash.
After taking a deep breath, Bai Ruogu walked toward the bed. His clean feet stepped on the white carpet, leaving droplets of water.
When he sat down on the bed next to Su Mou and saw the other person motionless, he pondered for a moment before placing his hand on Su Mou’s shoulder.
However, the normally soft body was now as rigid as metal.
Bai Ruogu paused, then couldn’t help but laugh as he thought of something.
He suddenly lay down on Su Mou’s lap, looking up at the ceiling light, and called out, “Ah Mou.”
There was a moment of silence before Su Mou’s flat voice responded.
“I’m here.”
Bai Ruogu shook his head slightly and whispered, “Do you have that program?”
Su Mou paused for a second, then calmly replied, “I have it. It was just generated.”
Bai Ruogu nodded, “Good, execute it immediately.”
The lights slowly dimmed, and a very low voice sounded in the air.
“Understood.”
The night was long, and the clear male voice in the air gradually turned into heavier breathing.
At nine, everything was fine. At ten, he started feeling groggy. By eleven, the young man realized something was wrong and fell into despair…
Approaching midnight, Bai Ruogu’s voice became urgent and filled with shock.
“Why is there an electrical leak?!”
The young man was losing his mind, but by almost 1 AM, the strong body suddenly froze. Three seconds later, there was a noticeable change in the voice.
“It’s finally my turn…”
The young man panicked, “Who are you? Wait, which one are you?”
“The second one.”
Bai Ruogu: …
It seemed his life would end here tonight.
. . . . .
Today, something strange happened on the set. The usually punctual lead actor did not show up!
The director initially gave everyone a break, thinking Bai Ruogu might have been delayed on the way and would arrive within half an hour.
However, half an hour passed and Bai Ruogu still hadn’t arrived.
Director: ?
The assistant director, looking at the script, gently asked the director, “Should we start shooting the next scenes or wait a bit longer?”
The director checked his watch, thinking Bai Ruogu might show up in another ten minutes.
“Let’s wait a bit longer.”
They waited another twenty minutes, but there was still no sign of Bai Ruogu.
The director couldn’t sit still any longer and asked someone to quickly contact Bai Ruogu.
At first, no one answered the call. After three or four attempts, it was finally answered.
“Hello?” The voice on the other end was hoarse and murky, completely unlike its usual clarity.
Initially, the staff thought they had dialed the wrong number and confirmed repeatedly.
“Is this Bai Ruogu?”
There was a yawn, and then a tired voice responded, as if he hadn’t slept all night.
“Yes, this is Bai Ruogu.”
“Oh.” The staff quickly responded and, considering Bai Ruogu’s current state, cautiously asked, “You don’t seem well. Everyone has been on set for over an hour. Do you want to take a leave?”
Bai Ruogu’s mind was foggy. He tried to get up from bed but felt weak all over.
He mumbled, “Yes, I need a leave.”
“Alright.” The staff quickly agreed.
Not to mention Bai Ruogu was the behind-the-scenes boss of this drama, his role alone gave him significant influence.
The director and assistant director had been listening nearby. After the call ended, they looked at each other in confusion.
“What’s up with him?” The assistant director was puzzled.
The director was also baffled. “Ruogu has always been responsible. He’s not the type to party all night. What could have exhausted him like this?”
The assistant director sighed, looking at the script in his hand. “What do we do next?”
The director thought for a moment. “Let’s have the other actors perform the following scenes. Later, I’ll call Bai Ruogu’s agent to find out what’s going on.”
“Alright.”
They shot three scenes in a row, and the crew finally got a half-hour break.
The director took the opportunity to call Bai Ruogu’s agent.
The assistant director sat nearby as the call went through.
This time, the call was answered quickly, within a few seconds.
“Hello.” The agent’s voice was calm and emotionless.
The director was about to ask when he heard a familiar voice in the background.
“No more, I can’t. My back is killing me…” It was the young man’s murmuring, but it sounded particularly familiar, as if it had been heard recently.
“I have stopped my actions.” This was the agent’s response.
The director and assistant director: …
They were all dumbfounded.
The man’s voice on the other end continued to ask, “Excuse me, may I help you with something?”
Help with what? Both directors were married men. By this point, they fully understood what was happening.
The director quickly responded, “Nothing, nothing. I’ll hang up now.”
He hurriedly ended the call, unable to resist patting his own mouth.
“That was really bad timing!”
The assistant director also looked embarrassed. He coughed, his eyes slightly evasive, and lowered his voice.
“So, what do we do now? We can’t just let them stay like this, right? We still need to handle some business with Xingsu today.”
The director slapped his thigh and clicked his tongue. “These young people nowadays… What else can we do? The president is sleeping, so we’ll have to contact the vice president.”
After much deliberation, they decided to call the vice president.
This call was also answered very quickly, making them marvel at Xingsu’s responsiveness.
“Hello? This is Su Mou, the vice president of Xingsu.” This time, the voice sounded more mature, but the tone was somewhat familiar, though the two directors couldn’t immediately remember it.
The director cleared his throat, ready to discuss business. “Hello, Su…”
Before he could finish, the familiar young voice came through again.
“Stop, stop, I can’t… Don’t switch people.” Perhaps their voices were too loud and disturbed the young man, causing him to speak instinctively.
The two directors: ????
That voice… damn!
They were completely dumbfounded.
“Is there anything else?” the other side asked patiently.
“No, no,” the director quickly shook his head, looking utterly confused.
After the call ended, they looked at each other, their expressions complex, even questioning their sanity.
Everyone said the entertainment industry was chaotic, and now they had witnessed it firsthand.
They continued filming in a daze, managing to get through the morning normally. By the afternoon, they couldn’t hold back any longer. Regardless of the chaos in their relationships, they had business to attend to!
The director’s hand trembled as he dialed Bai Ruogu again. Seeing the time displayed on his smart brain, it was 4 PM.
Even if they had gone at it intensely, they should be awake by now, right?
It seemed like the other party was busy. The call rang for almost a minute before being answered.
The young man on the other end was coughing, as if his throat had been severely irritated.
A hoarse voice came through, “Hello? Director? Cough, cough…”
The director’s heart pounded, and he quickly got to the point. Bai Ruogu, with his strained voice, listened quietly. After the director finished speaking, he responded hoarsely, “It’s fine. Just go to my company for the stamp when the time comes.”
The director sighed with relief. Considering Bai Ruogu’s condition, he tentatively asked, “Ruogu, how are you feeling now? By the way, when do you plan to start filming? I don’t even know where you are right now.”
Bai Ruogu glanced at the innocent-looking AI next to him, nearly breaking his teeth from clenching his jaw.
He looked up at the sign above and calmly replied, “I’m in the hospital. Can you guess what happened to me?”
Director: …
He didn’t want to guess at all.
After thinking for a moment, he earnestly advised before hanging up, “Ruogu, some things are indeed interesting, but you can’t do them all the time. You… you need to show some restraint! Oh, forget it, I’ll hang up now.”
Bai Ruogu: …
He also wanted to show restraint.
At this moment, a small robot delivered the medicine to Su Mou, gently reminding him with a soft voice.
“The white one is for internal use, and the brown one is for external application. Don’t mix them up!”
Su Mou didn’t speak, but the small robot sensed his meaning and responded with a smile, its eyes crescent-shaped.
“You’re welcome! This is what a small robot should do!”
After delivering the medicine, the small robot was about to leave. Just as it was about to walk away, it suddenly turned its head and blinked its large eyes.
“My boss told me, in all his years in the proctology department, he’s never seen anything as exciting as this…”
Bai Ruogu: …
What kind of broken little robot is this?
Bai Ruogu endured Su Mou’s company for several days. Each time he faced “Su Mou’s” requests, he refused without hesitation.
Su Mou, carrying a black bag, was shut out. He looked at the door blankly, appearing somewhat pitiful.
He couldn’t understand why Bai Ruogu, who was already well, didn’t want to continue to do it with him.
According to the data, he was obviously far from the ability that a normal man should have, but why did Bai Ruogu still look dissatisfied? Was he not happy?
