Chapter 81 – Rough Star Pirate Leader VS War God Empire Prince [AA] (8)
Mu Jin listened to his lover weaving this story vividly, and though he felt like laughing inside, he nodded on the surface, appearing completely trusting.
He touched the mask in his hand and obediently replied, “Chester, don’t worry. I will definitely wear the mask properly and not let others recognize me, causing trouble for us.”
Hearing Mu Jin say this, Chester breathed a sigh of relief. However, he then noticed that the person beside him seemed to suddenly realize something and said to him with difficulty, “Chester, since I followed you to elope, we didn’t actually live together in the past, right?”
“Then, why didn’t you refute me yesterday when I asked you to stay in the same room with me?” Mu Jin continued, and his face turned even redder, obviously feeling embarrassed about his inappropriate behavior yesterday.
Seeing Mu Jin’s embarrassed look, Chester couldn’t help but smile slightly, feeling much more relaxed.
He reached out and rubbed Mu Jin’s soft hair, admitting, “Yes, we didn’t live together before. I’m sorry, yesterday was my fault. Xiao Jin, forgive me, okay?”
Mu Jin shook his head at his words, hesitated for a moment, and replied, “It doesn’t really matter. Since I was willing to leave everything behind and elope with you, it means I must love you a lot. Anyway, we will be together sooner or later, so being together now is also good.”
The person in front of him, with clear and innocent cat-like eyes, looked at him full of trust. Seeing this, Chester felt a twinge of guilt but had to suppress it because he couldn’t let go of the person in front of him.
Just as the two were talking, there was a sudden rumbling sound outside the spaceship, and the ship shook violently.
Chester instinctively protected Mu Jin, and when the shaking stopped, he stood up straight, opened the door, and shouted, “What happened out there?”
Then he heard a shout from outside, and Buck hurriedly ran over, searching for the button of his mecha in his coat. He excitedly shouted to Chester, “Boss, it’s the Zerg; we’ve encountered a small Zerg squad.”
Generally, when others encounter the Zerg, they would be nervous or panicked. But seeing Buck’s relaxed and cheerful tone, Mu Jin felt like they weren’t facing the Zerg but were about to watch a fireworks show.
Turning his head to look at his man’s expression, he found indeed, Chester’s mood seemed unusually excited.
Chester wrapped his arm around Mu Jin’s shoulder, leaned in, and whispered, “Xiao Jin, wait for me here. I’ll be back in a moment.” After saying that, he hurriedly followed Buck and left.
Mu Jin didn’t fully obey. He blinked and followed them not far behind. Soon, he saw a small group of members from the pirate group ready, standing at the door as if waiting for Chester. They were eager, seemingly not fighting against the enemy but enjoying the battle, putting on a show in front of Mu Jin.
All the people in the entire galaxy hated the Zerg because of their greed. They conquered one planet after another, looting resources and then abandoning the planets already depleted, leaving only desolation.
Countless barren planets were born because of them, and numerous humans became refugees, losing their lives under the giant pincers of these insects.
Looking at the pirates outside enjoying the battle, Mu Jin’s blood was boiling. Their every move was seamless, and they seemed to have more experience fighting the Zerg than the empire’s army.
Gently stroking his forehead and thinking about the attributes of his man in several worlds, it seemed that there was always a factor of violence lurking in the man’s body. It seemed that even if these bugs didn’t actively provoke Chester, the man would still take the opportunity to vent.
In a short time, this small group of bugs had been completely eliminated by Chester and the others, leaving not a single survivor.
The pirates returned to the ship, happily stored away their mechas, and it seemed that the recent battle made everyone feel extremely satisfied.
Mu Jin blinked, watching the man in front of him suddenly make an admiring expression. He said to him, “Chester, you’re really amazing.”
Hearing the praise from his beloved, Chester’s face turned slightly red, revealing a somewhat silly smile. It was evident that he greatly enjoyed Mu Jin’s compliments.
On the other hand, the other space pirates couldn’t help but internally mock their leader for being ruthless and nerveless in the past, yet now showing a shy side.
Looking at the rough and rugged captain with a face full of stubble, his cheeks reddened, the crew felt a chill. They never expected their fierce and unconcerned boss, especially in front of Omega, to be so different now. Love’s power truly was great.
Although Mu Jin hadn’t been with the man for long, he had almost figured out the personality of his lover in this world. Seeing the surprised expressions on the faces of the crew, he flashed a hint of a smile in his eyes and didn’t hesitate to praise his lover.
After battling the Zerg outside, Chester immediately ordered the spaceship to move quickly. After all, the Zerg often operated in large groups, and this small number could be just a scouting party; the main force might arrive soon.
He just wanted to vent, experience the thrill of battle, not to bring trouble to his spaceship. In the face of outnumbered enemies, he knew the principle of not letting opportunities slip away.
After instructing the crew, he hugged Mu Jin’s shoulder and chatted all the way back to the room.
The spaceship quickly arrived at the pirates’ lair, Das Star, and then activated stealth mode. Mu Jin wore inconspicuous clothes and a mask, following behind Chester.
However, upon arriving at Das Star, Mu Jin discovered that it was desolate, with piles of junk parts and spaceship wreckage everywhere, clearly a waste planet.
Looking at Chester beside him with some confusion, the man smiled at him. Chester briskly walked to a sturdy pipe not far from the spaceship’s landing point. There was a subtle button on the outer wall of the pipe. Chester pressed it, and a rusty, large container-like elevator suddenly rose from the ground not far away.
The elevator’s door opened, the lights inside turned on, and after everyone, including the goods to be lifted, was placed inside, the door was closed. The massive elevator then descended at an extremely fast speed, and they soon arrived at their destination.
When the door opened again, Mu Jin found himself in a completely different world.
Buildings were densely packed, with a quirky style, and people with various clothing styles walked on the streets, looking extremely individualistic. Although the buildings appeared somewhat worn, they strangely evoked a combination of technology and the steam age, creating a unique atmosphere.
Mu Jin curiously looked around and quietly followed his lover after exiting the elevator.
As the newly appointed leader of this renowned pirate group, Chester’s prestige was quite high. Just as they appeared, many people came over, welcoming them as if greeting heroes. It was understandable, considering they brought back a large amount of supplies every time they went on a mission.
So, this was the pirates’ lair. No wonder the Empire and the Federation had failed many times to locate it. At most, they could only trace the pirates’ ships landing on this planet, then disappearing. It turned out they had built their city underground.
The artificial sun hung high in the sky, illuminating the underground city brightly like daytime, allowing the people here to live well.
The local customs were evidently different from the Empire, Federation, and even Omega. Seeing Chester’s team return, the welcoming crowd included some charming Omegas and Betas.
All eyes were on Chester and his team, throwing coquettish glances and air kisses, attempting to gain favor from these strong individuals.
Most of the team members were quite pleased with this attention, but Chester remained unmoved because all his attention was on Mu Jin. It was the first time he brought his beloved to his true territory, and the man felt inexplicably nervous.
He wondered if the welcoming atmosphere of his team looked imposing and if his beloved would be satisfied with the city he saw. Although the construction of the underground city had improved their living environment with the help of the old man over the years, it couldn’t compare to the prosperity of the Empire and the Federation.
