Extra 3 : Husband and Wife of One Mind
The main system did not appear, but Song Tan’s body clearly felt better.
Her limbs were warm every day.
Even though it was winter now, her hands and feet were warm.
However, Shen Yin’s credit was indispensable.
She wore protective covers on her hands and feet.
She especially liked the gloves on her hands, filled with cashmere, with detachable finger joints, which was very convenient.
“Shimu1 is really fortunate.”
“So envious, I didn’t expect Teacher Shen to be such a caring and warm-hearted man in private.”
“If only he could be half as good to us as he is to his wife.”
“You’re dreaming! Just half…even a hint of it, and I’d be satisfied.”
The school has been undergoing maintenance recently, and the laboratory couldn’t be used, so Shen Yin brought the students to his house.
Then they saw Teacher Shen, who was usually very strict with them, suddenly produce a pair of gloves for his wife, who was bare-handed.
Putting on gloves wasn’t enough; he tucked her in with a fur blanket and brought her books.
He did these things as if they were second nature.
It was evident that these things were already part of his daily routine.
The students watched the loving couple with admiration.
Meanwhile, Song Tan whispered to Shen Yin, “Your students are all watching, can’t you be a bit more restrained?”
“Restrained about what?”
Song Tan looked at him as he brought another plate of strawberries and pushed it towards her along with the fruit tray, “Go play with them outside, don’t mind me.”
Shen Yin was half pushed out by Song Tan.
The students gathered outside all looked at him.
One bold student spoke up, “Why did Teacher Shen get kicked out by Shimu?”
Shen Yin raised the fruit tray and said, “It’s because your Shimu wanted to treat you all to strawberries.”
“Shimu cares about us.”
After speaking, the bold student shouted loudly towards Song Tan inside the house, “Thank you, Shimu!”
Then several others echoed, “Thank you, Shimu!!!”
Song Tan : “…”
These students, really…
They were chattering away, but they made the house lively.
She had lamented to Shen Yin before that when her Grandpa was still alive, this house was always lively.
At that time, her Grandpa’s students often came to visit, discussing medical skills at home.
But since her Grandpa passed away, the house had become much quieter.
Shen Yin didn’t say anything at the time, but unexpectedly, two days later, he brought his students to their home.
Most of the time they were busy with their project progress and she was in another room reading books and binge-watching dramas. But from time to time, she would hear their cheerful laughter, and Song Tan felt as if she had returned to the time when her Grandpa was still around.
It’s really nice.
It’s really good to be alive.
When Song Jiaojiao arrived at the door, she didn’t expect the house to be so lively.
She was a little stunned.
Before, this house always gave her a gloomy feeling.
After her Grandpa passed away, this feeling intensified.
She didn’t really like coming here, but now, looking at the clean courtyard and hearing laughter, she felt as if she had traveled through time to the past.
She walked dazedly to where Song Tan was.
Seeing Song Jiaojiao, Song Tan nodded towards the stone bench in front of her. “Have a seat.”
Song Jiaojiao sat down as instructed.
“Song Tan, it’s so lively here.”
“Yeah, do you need something?”
Song Jiaojiao had come to ask Song Tan for something.
The Huo family had declared bankruptcy, and Song Jiaojiao’s parents’ company was also affected. In order to prevent the financial chain from breaking, they had taken on a huge loan.
Originally, Song Jiaojiao didn’t know about these things, but the threatening messages from the creditors had reached her phone.
She couldn’t just stand by and watch her parents being chased by creditors.
“I know you must have a way.”
Song Tan shrugged. “I don’t have a way.”
“Why not? You have prescriptions. As long as you sell them, you’ll have money.”
Song Tan raised an eyebrow slightly. “But why should I do that?”
“We’re family. Are you going to just sit back and watch?”
“Family.” Song Tan looked at Song Jiaojiao. “Jiaojiao, don’t you find this term a bit ironic?”
They didn’t treat Song Tan like family at all.
When she was sick, all they thought about was that once she died, all her property would belong to them.
When she still had value, they forced her into a marriage to benefit them.
When she was threatened by Huo Yanlin, all they thought about was quickly siding with Huo Yanlin to gain some favor.
With such selfish and exploitative people, how could she consider them family?
“Song Jiaojiao, I haven’t made things worse for you at this time, which is already out of respect for Grandpa.”
Song Jiaojiao looked at Song Tan in front of her.
Song Tan was very calm, so calm that she just drank a cup of tea casually.
But she was also too heartless.
Song Jiaojiao wanted to scold Song Tan.
But that anger rose to Song Jiaojiao’s throat and was swallowed back down.
Now she didn’t have the right to be willful.
If she acted willfully, her parents might be beyond saving.
“I’m begging you, can you?”
Song Tan glanced at Song Jiaojiao.
Although there was a bit of an unexpected turn, it wasn’t enough to sway Song Tan.
She wasn’t a philanthropist.
“I won’t throw money into a bottomless pit,” Song Tan continued, “But I do have a solution for you.”
“You and Huo Yanlin are husband and wife, you should help each other out.”
Although the Huo family was in chaos now, a starving camel is still larger than a horse.
If Song Jiaojiao had a request, she should go to Huo Yanlin for it, not come to Song Tan.
[Host, you’re really good at stirring up trouble.]
007’s data detected Song Tan’s deception, almost seeing itself when being tricked by Song Tan.
[This isn’t deception, it’s sincere advice.]
007 wasn’t convinced.
But, looking at Song Jiaojiao’s reaction…
Song Jiaojiao felt that what Song Tan said made sense.
She stood up reluctantly and nodded to Song Tan.
Just as she was about to leave, she turned back to Song Tan and said, “Did you also acquire the other half of this house?”
Song Tan raised an eyebrow slightly. “Yes.”
Song Jiaojiao suddenly realized that Song Tan never intended to exchange the prescription for property rights in the first place.
Her plan was simply to get rid of the house from Song Jiaojiao’s hands so she could find other ways to buy it back.
Song Jiaojiao had been too naive.
“Song Tan, you really… are quite cunning.”
Song Tan remained composed. “Thank you for the compliment.”
Song Jiaojiao wanted to say more, but seeing Shen Yin approaching, she bit her lip, turned, and left quickly.
In the past, she might have foolishly rushed to expose Song Tan’s true intentions to Shen Yin. But now, Shen Yin’s terrifying presence in her heart outweighed Song Tan’s.
So, Song Jiaojiao turned and slipped away quickly.
When Shen Yin reached Song Tan, Song Tan couldn’t help but say to him, “You must be a demon in her eyes now.”
Shen Yin didn’t seem to care.
“What bad idea did you give her?”
Shen Yin hadn’t been present earlier, but seeing Song Tan’s demeanor, he knew she had done something bad.
Song Tan winked at him.
“She came to me asking for help for her parents. I felt she asked the wrong person; she should’ve begged Huo Yanlin.”
With a sigh, she added, “That Huo Yanlin’s life is just too easy.”
At the mention of Huo Yanlin, Shen Yin narrowed his eyes.
“His life won’t be easy lately.”
Huo Yanlin had taken on the mess of the Huo family and was now stressed out every day.
“Did you do something to him?”
Shen Yin looked into her eyes and said, “Guess?”
There’s no need to guess. Basically, it can be certain that Shen Yin must have done something.
“Not continuing to ask?”
“If I ask, will you answer?”
“I could consider it reluctantly.”
Song Tan teased him : “Then I won’t ask.”
Shen Yin : “…”
That won’t do, she still have to ask.
“You should still ask.”
Song Tan smiled at his words.
“Well, what did you do?”
“Not much, just normal business competition, causing him to lose the newly invested capital.”
The Huo family did indeed fall, but Huo Yanlin had more than just the Huo family to rely on. As a favored young master of the Huo family, he had quite a bit of capital at his disposal.
After the downfall of the Huo family, he started anew, established a company, and invested a large sum of money in a new project.
But now, the new project was about to fail.
“He used the prescription from your hands.”
Song Tan raised an eyebrow in surprise : “I haven’t given him any prescription.”
But after a moment of thought, Song Tan added, “It should be from Song Jiaojiao.”
“He’s really interesting, using his wife’s prescription, and having his lover help him with the technology.”
Lover.
Song Tan and Shen Yin exchanged a glance.
Shen Yin said, “Wife, we can claim the breach of contract penalty.”
Su Ran’s contract with Song Tan hasn’t been terminated yet.

HYL is really… I’ve exhausted all of my (limited) “bad words” to comments on him. 🥲😓😅
But, aside from strutting around like he owned the world and everyone (except SR) had huge debt to him, I don’t understand why SY focused his revenge on him. The mastermind and executors of murdering SY’s parents and his wife HYL’s father and co. Most of the time, afaik, HYL’s didn’t know and didn’t involved in it. At most, he coerced, blackmailed, robbed, and basically mentally tortured ST in several time loops (before she’s sent to the apocalypse world).
I understand his reason to make life difficult for HYL in this life time because ST’s his wife now and he loves her. He also saw the original plot and deducted how ST was unreasonably sent to apocalypse world, basically suffering furthermore for HYL’s (and SR’s) happiness.
But, why did he want to kill him in the other time loops? Why didn’t he directly go for HCY and his accomplices? Even if HYL was the most “powerful” person who would protect his enemies and make his revenge plan failed, his life would still be damned the moment he became a murderer. Why should he kill an uninvolved person? A huge sympathy and empathy for ST would at most make him see HYL as a huge hazardous trash. He could solve him along with the other trash of Huo family. Had he already fall for ST in those time loops?
Thanks for the chapter!!!!!
