When the school gates finally came into view, Yan Luo let out a breath of relief and released Fang Shi’s hand. She took two steps forward, just about to say something, when suddenly, Fang Shi’s eyes darkened. Without warning, he pulled her into his arms and spun half a circle.
Yan Luo’s eyes widened in shock. Just as she was about to demand what he was doing, a loud splash rang out.
Fang Shi’s back was instantly drenched. Droplets of water trickled down his neck, some landing on Yan Luo’s cheek with a chilling touch. Her expression darkened immediately.
“…Are you okay?”
A sharp glint flashed through Fang Shi’s eyes, cold and ruthless, though it disappeared in an instant. But when he saw Yan Luo’s murderous expression, he hesitated, then pressed his lips together, curving them into the faintest hint of a smile. His eyes sparkled as if he wanted to nuzzle against her, but he hesitated, afraid of getting her wet.
Yan Luo’s gaze grew even colder. She pressed her lips into a tight line and reached out, unzipping Fang Shi’s jacket. Tugging at the fabric, she gestured for him to take off the soaked outer layer. Then, she pulled out some tissues, gently wiping away the droplets on his neck before tossing the rest into his hands.
Her expression darkened as she turned her gaze past Fang Shi, straight to the culprit behind him.
Sure enough, it was Yan Yuqi again.
Her eyes were red-rimmed, her teeth clenched, and in her grip was a half-empty plastic water bottle.
Yan Luo let out a cold laugh. In a few swift steps, she closed the distance between them. With a sharp smack, she struck Yan Yuqi’s wrist, making her yelp in pain and drop the bottle. The moment it hit the ground, Yan Luo stomped down on it.
With a loud *crack*, the remaining water splashed out, soaking Yan Yuqi.
A furious voice rang out—
