The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 70

Jiang Mo stayed at the Chi Yu’s house for two days. Chi Yu had emphasized to him that if he didn’t like it, he could refuse.

Every time, Chi Yu’s mother would look at him with pitiful eyes. Jiang Mo couldn’t bring himself to refuse. During these two days, he was asked to change into several different styles of clothing by Chi Yu’s mother several times. Wearing these clothes wasn’t embarrassing, but the most embarrassing part was that in the evening, Chi Yu would insist on him wearing them again, and the result wasn’t as simple as Chi Yu’s mother just taking photos for him.

It was supposed to be a break, but it was even more tiring than training camp.

After returning to the Lu family, Jiang Mo finally took a breath of relief. At least at home, with his parents and his brother around, Chi Yu wouldn’t do anything to him. However, the cuddling and kissing at night were still inevitable.

The summer championship prize money was two million. The team didn’t want this money, so Chi Yu distributed it among the team members. Manager Da Tian didn’t discriminate, and even the members of the second team who didn’t participate received a small share, as a reward for their hard work over the year.

The first team consisted of five main players, along with Jiang Mo and Xiao Xi as substitutes, totaling seven people. After deducting the share for the second team and buying snacks for the youth trainees, Jiang Mo received a prize money of 250,000.

He gave his family 50,000 when he returned home and saved the rest in his account.

Upon hearing from Lu Yu that Jiang Mo had won the championship, Lu’s father and Lu’s mother were both very happy. When Jiang Mo returned, they prepared a grand feast to celebrate. During these two days at home, Jiang Mo had gained a little weight, and some of the flesh on his face had returned, not much, but enough to please Chi Yu for a while.

Not long after returning to the Lu family, Jiang Mo received a call from Jiang Ying.

Having spent too long in the team, Jiang Mo’s memory seemed to be malfunctioning. Even though it was a matter from the first half of the year, it felt like it had been several years. Seeing the names of the people in the small room again, Jiang Mo had a moment of confusion.

“So, you’ve forgotten about me so quickly, that’s quite heartbreaking,” Jiang Ying lamented on the other end of the phone. “If I hadn’t joined the crew for filming, I would have visited you much earlier. I know you started your professional gaming career, and your boyfriend didn’t want me to disturb your training. So now, seeing that you’ve won the championship, I dare to call and congratulate you!”

“Thank you,” Jiang Mo replied happily. Among the guests in the small room, he only felt comfortable chatting with Jiang Ying.

The fact that Jiang Ying remembered him and contacted him made him very happy.J

iang Ying said, “I just finished filming, and my manager has given me a month off. I assume you’re on break too. Can I come and visit you? Ask your boyfriend if it’s okay.”

Jiang Mo blushed at being referred to as a boyfriend by Jiang Ying and, in a rebellious moment, agreed without thinking, “Feel free to come. You don’t need to ask for Chi Yu’s opinion.”

Jiang Ying chuckled and said, “You may not care, but I do. I’m afraid that if I don’t inform him, he’ll think I’m here to steal his boyfriend.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo listened to Jiang Ying’s words, went to the living room, and inquired with Chi Yu. After receiving Chi Yu’s consent, he relayed the information to Jiang Ying.

Jiang Ying acted swiftly and, being nearby for filming, arrived at Jiang Mo’s house within a few hours.

The house was too small to accommodate Jiang Ying, and he didn’t need Jiang Mo’s care. He had already booked a nearby hotel before coming.

While they were in the small room, and even though their relationship hadn’t been officially defined, Jiang Ying was still a guest on O group. Therefore, it was only natural for Chi Yu to be cautious about him. After leaving the small room, Jiang Mo was accompanied by Jiang Ying, but Chi Yu didn’t follow them. He stayed at home to play games with Lu Yu.

The imaginary rival didn’t matter; what mattered was pleasing his older brother-in-law.

Jiang Ying and Jiang Mo were both public figures, so they didn’t dare to linger on the streets. They bought two cups of milk tea at a nearby shop and then entered a hotpot restaurant.

They requested a private room and both removed their masks and hats.

Because of his filming schedule, Jiang Ying had lost some weight since their time in the small room, but he remained as handsome as ever.

“Nice hair,” Jiang Ying said with a cheeky smile.

Jiang Mo blushed at the compliment and replied, “Th-thank you.”

“I didn’t realize it before, but you’re really a gaming material. I thought you only played cards. When I asked you what games you liked, you didn’t mention that you played League of Legends. I’ve played it a few times before, but I’m not very good. Maybe you can teach me sometime,” Jiang Ying suggested.

“Sure!”Jiang Ying, in the presence of someone familiar, became more talkative.

During the meal, Jiang Ying did most of the talking, with Jiang Mo occasionally chiming in with his own thoughts.

Before, Jiang Mo had moved on from the people and events of the past. Since leaving the small room, he hadn’t kept up with the activities of those people.

Through Jiang Ying’s gossip, Jiang Mo learned about the current situations of the other people from the small room:

Shen An, after enduring Ye Lin’s actions for so many years, finally couldn’t take it anymore. He had a heart-to-heart talk with his parents after returning home and revealed everything that Ye Lin had done behind their backs. Shen’s parents finally realized the extent of their debt to Ye Lin and repaid it in full. Shen An’s career was still thriving, and Ye Lin’s actions had actually boosted his popularity. His fanbase was even larger than before.

As for Ye Lin, after the show ended, without the support of the Shen family, he couldn’t survive in the entertainment industry. He went back to being an internet celebrity, but his loyal fans had already abandoned him, and nobody watched his videos. The comments were filled with criticism, and he couldn’t continue in the internet celebrity circle. He had deleted his accounts and disappeared.

Since Jiang Mo left, Lou An no longer followed Lu Xuan around. He had also seen the truth online and was disappointed in Lu Xuan. After the show, he, like Shen An, returned to filming. He had been introduced to a promising person through his family, and they were getting along well. It was expected that they would have good news soon.

Lu Xuan had changed his name to Jiang Xuan. His career had suffered a significant blow. The Jiang family had adopted a nine-year-old child from a welfare home, known for being highly intelligent and even skipping grades. Jiang Xuan’s parents treated the child as a treasure and paid little attention to Jiang Xuan. It was also rumored that Jiang Xuan’s mother and his manager had taken a substantial amount of money from him, and they were now embroiled in a legal battle. Nobody knew what the future held for them, but because of Jiang Xuan’s mother and manager’s actions, Jiang Xuan had gained a following of sympathetic fans. Jiang Ying hadn’t kept up with the details, but he believed that if Jiang Xuan worked hard and stayed on the right path, he could have a bright future.

As for Li Heng, he was doing well, just like Lou An. In a short span of a few months, he had been in two relationships, and it seemed like he had broken up with the current one.

“On the first day we spent time together, I could tell that Li Heng is indeed a playboy, just as the rumors say. Fortunately, I wasn’t interested in him,” Jiang Ying commented.

Being a playboy wasn’t the issue; Li Heng didn’t play both sides when he was in a relationship. He was completely devoted during a relationship, with no overlapping, and he only started a new one after a clean break. However, his quick transitions between partners were quite unreliable.

Jiang Mo chuckled and, following Jiang Ying’s comment, casually asked, “So, what type of person do you like?”

Shen An and Lou An were both quite reliable, and Jiang Ying hadn’t shown an interest in them.

Jiang Ying replied, “Good-looking, I suppose. As long as they can handle me, I’ll like them.”

Jiang Mo looked perplexed, not quite understanding Jiang Ying’s peculiar criteria for selecting a partner. “Handle” him? Did Jiang Ying like being controlled by someone?

After finishing the hotpot, it was already evening when they returned.

Jiang Mo wanted to accompany Jiang Ying to the hotel, but Jiang Ying declined, stating that Jiang Mo was younger and there was no need for him to see him off.

Jiang Ying saw Jiang Mo off at the building’s entrance, patting his hat brim and saying, “You must be packing to return to the training center tomorrow. I won’t bother you. Good luck in the competition. I’ll be watching every match, and when you make it to the finals, I’ll buy tickets to watch the games live at the venue.”

Jiang Mo nodded, resolute as he said, “You must come to watch our matches in person.”

“You sound so confident,” Jiang Ying said with a serious expression that was too cute. Unable to resist, Jiang Ying, taking advantage of Chi Yu’s absence, reached out and pinched Jiang Mo’s cheek.

It was soft, just like the sensation he remembered.

“Hurry upstairs,” Jiang Ying withdrew his hand and urged.

“Be careful when you go back, alright?” Jiang Mo was still concerned and added, “And send me a message when you get to the hotel!”

“What message?” Lu Yu, yawning, emerged from the warehouse alley a short distance away and heard Jiang Mo’s voice.

“Big brother,” Jiang Mo obediently called out.

“Yeah, what are you doing here?” Lu Yu responded and glanced at Jiang Ying standing beside Jiang Mo.

Taller by half a head, dressed stylishly with his face masked, a chestnut-colored hair tousled by the wind revealed a pair of beautiful peach blossom eyes. Just looking at the top half of his face, he didn’t seem very old, probably around the same age as Jiang Mo.

“I’m…I’m about to go upstairs. This is my friend, Jiang Ying,” Jiang Mo introduced.

Lu Yu asked, “Is he going back alone?”

Jiang Mo replied, “Yeah.”

Lu Yu rubbed his somewhat sore forehead; he had just had a heated argument with that woman, Tan Yaya, about a business matter. His head still hurt. He had to be a pig to choose people he knew as his subordinates in the future.

“I’ll escort you,” Lu Yu offered, wanting to step out and get some fresh air to calm down. He said to Jiang Ying, “I know the hotel is nearby, about 800 meters away, right? It’s quite lively around here during the day, but it gets quieter past a certain time, and it’s even quieter near the hotel. It’s not safe for you to go alone. Let me accompany you.”

“You really don’t need to, it’s not too much trouble,” Jiang Ying replied, donning his figurative mask in front of a stranger, his voice sounding very docile.

“You’re Mo Mo’s friend; it’s only natural,” Lu Yu looked at Jiang Ying and explained, “I’m going to buy some late-night snacks over there, and I just happened to pass by. Let’s go.”

Jiang Ying pursed his lips and remained silent, essentially agreeing.

Late-night snacks.

Jiang Mo felt a bit tempted, and Lu Yu noticed his thoughts. He walked up and patted Jiang Mo’s hat, saying, “You just had dinner and now you want to eat again? Why do you like junk food so much? Be careful not to turn into junk. Go upstairs quickly, or I’ll tell Chi Yu that you’re eating junk food again.”

Jiang Mo: “…” If you’re saying this about me, then what about you going to buy junk food?

After resting for a little over a week, Jiang Mo and Chi Yu returned to the training center.

Manager Da Tian had already notified the cleaning staff to prepare the rooms, so they didn’t need to tidy up. Once all the team members gathered, they would start their training.

The LOL World Championship is divided into the Play-In Stage, Group Stage, and Knockout Stage. SVP was the champion of both the Spring and Summer splits, making them the top-seeded team from the LPL region. The other top seeds were from PG, UN, and RAG, and their rankings were determined by their scores from the Spring and Summer splits.

Currently, there are 12 regions in the LOL World Championship, including the four major regions and eight wildcard regions. The four major regions are LPLChina, LCKKorea, LECEurope, and LCSNorth America.

Out of these regions, LPL, LCK, and LEC each have four slots to participate in the World Championship, while LCS has three.

The top three seeds from LPL, LCK, and LEC, as well as the top two seeds from LCS and the top seed from PCSSoutheast Asia, all directly advance to the Group Stage. To fill the remaining spots in the Group Stage, there’s a Play-In Stage where ten teams compete, and only four of them will make it through.

SVP didn’t have to worry about the Play-In Stage, but the drawing ceremony had to take place in advance. The league officials needed to conduct a fair and transparent draw to determine the groupings.

On the evening of the drawing ceremony, the official livestream had already surpassed tens of millions of viewers.

Every team had stopped training, eagerly awaiting the results of the draw.

Once the Play-In Stage groups were drawn, it was time for the Group Stage draw.

The Group Stage draw rules stipulated that the first seeds from the four major regions would be placed into one draw pool, the second seeds into another, and the third seeds the same way. Starting with drawing the first team for groups A, B, C, and D from the first seed pool, then moving to the second seed pool to draw the second team, and so on. Each group had to consist of teams from different regions, with no two teams from the same region in a single group.

Currently, there were only twelve teams, but there were only three spots in each of the four groups. The remaining spot in each group would be filled by one of the four teams that advanced from the Play-In Stage.

The draw was conducted by a few retired foreign players, and the barrage of comments filled with their names and fond memories appeared on the screen. Without saying much more, the drawing ceremony began.

[“Please, please, make a good draw!”]

[“Ah, I don’t ask for anything else; I just hope UN gets an easier team. Please, not EK!”]

[“Don’t be so timid. We need to go all out. If we can knock EK out of the top eight, that would be the best.”]

[“Joking aside, that’s EK we’re talking about.”]

[“So what if it’s EK? They’re the top seed from the Korean region, and our region has a top seed too! When SVP meets EK, we might not necessarily lose!”]

[“Hush, don’t be so sure before the match. I’m afraid of jinxing it!”]

[“What are you afraid of? Don’t you believe in SVP’s strength?”]

Jiang Mo didn’t pay much attention to the Group Stage draw. They would have to face whatever team they were drawn against. Their goal was the World Championship, and they could potentially face any opponents. As the top seed, losing to the second or third seeds or teams that advanced from the Play-In Stage would be a disgrace.

The coach and his teammates were nervous, lacking Jiang Mo’s confidence.

Jiang Mo continued to eat his half-eaten burger. Thanks to Chi Yu’s supervision, he rarely had the chance to indulge in junk food, and today, with Chi Yu’s permission, his food had just been delivered. He was worried that the food would get cold if he waited for the results, as these things were best enjoyed while hot.

As the team owner, Chi Yu shows little concern for the team’s performance in matches, but he gets a bit nervous only when Jiang Mo is on the field.

He sits next to Jiang Mo, keeping him company and occasionally handing him tissues to wipe away sauce from the corners of his mouth.

The results of the group draw are out.

They are placed in Group A, and their opponents are the Korean second seed G10 team and the European third seed SY team. The third team is still unknown.

“Phew, SY team is okay, but G10 is a bit challenging,” Tao Zi says.

A’Kang gives Tao Zi a headshot and scolds, “Say something like that again, and you’ll have to train for an additional 2 hours.”

Tao Zi: “I’m sorry.”

Jiang Mo has encountered G10 team three times in world competitions. Anyone who follows the matches knows that LCK likes to play the macro game, and each match takes a long time to unfold. Even without intense team fights, they strive to create even more advantages. After watching a match, people often feel tired, but their mentality remains strong. G10 team, however, is one of the few teams in LCK that do not play the macro game.

G10’s jungle duo has been together in the team for three years, and they have reached a level of understanding where they don’t even need to speak to know what the other is thinking.

In terms of individual skill, Jiang Mo can confidently say that he doesn’t lose to any League of Legends player. But in terms of synergy, Jiang Mo and Tao Zi still can’t catch up with G10’s jungle duo.

After all, this game is not a solo show; it’s a team game.

Jiang Mo doesn’t only think about himself.

The group stage draw is out, and Coach A’Kang doesn’t give the players any relaxation time. The tasks are tough, and none of the players dare to complain.

In the relentless day and night training, the one-week long qualifiers finally come to an end. The wildcard regions have risen later and have an overall lower skill level compared to the four major regions. Every year at the World Championships, their regions are nowhere to be found, and the championship trophies are consistently won by teams from the four major regions. In this year’s qualifiers, they couldn’t secure a spot against the teams from the four major regions.

The four teams that made it through the qualifiers automatically joined the previously drawn group stage. SVP’s third opponent is the North American team CAL.

SVP’s match officially starts three days later at the outdoor venue of the Summer Season Finals. There are a total of sixteen teams in the group stage, with 16 advancing to the top 8. The teams are divided into four groups, and each team plays two matches against the other teams in their group. The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout stage.

SVP’s first match in the group stage is against CAL. Two games, one win equals one point, and they aim to keep all the points to themselves. In the first game, as expected, Xia Zeyu takes the stage, and Jiang Mo had previously analyzed that CAL’s jungler was not as strong as Xia Zeyu. With Xie Ning and Tang Zi in the team, as long as Tao Zi and Xia Zeyu perform steadily, there is no need for him to play. Just as he predicted, SVP easily takes two points from CAL.

With a good start, the team’s social media is celebrating, but now they have to face the European SY team.

The first game against SY is exceptionally challenging, and it ends with a beautiful team fight led by Xie Ning’s Kai’SaasiaK, finishing off the enemy AD carry and securing the victory in the first game. The match lasts nearly forty minutes, and Coach A’Kang notices that Xia Zeyu’s performance seems off.

In the LPL region, Xia Zeyu’s health has recovered well, but as soon as he stepped onto the world stage, his old habit of nervousness resurfaced. Afraid that Xia Zeyu might make a mistake, Coach A’Kang decided to let Jiang Mo play in the second game.

RAG’s coach believed that Jiang Mo, being a rookie, had the advantage of being a newcomer. However, if limited to domestic matches, the RAG coach’s opinion was incorrect.

Throughout the summer season, Jiang Mo openly acknowledged that he was Moo, even welcoming opponents to analyze his previous rank videos. Though he didn’t have many appearances during the summer season, he gave his best in every game, providing ample material for analysis. If they couldn’t figure him out, it was their lack of preparation.

For teams from foreign regions, Jiang Mo was truly a newcomer. Knowing their opponents were SVP, coaches from other regions stayed up late studying SVP’s jungler, Xia Zeyu. They also gathered some information about Jiang Mo, but their analysis wasn’t as thorough as it was for the starting players.

After watching the video of Jiang Mo’s quadra kill, SY team’s coach banned Jiang Mo’s Lee Sin and Fiddlesticks during the ban-pick phase. With limited bans available, he couldn’t afford to waste another ban on SVP’s AD and top laner, giving them more freedom in their choices.

He allowed Jiang Mo to play Graves, a champion Jiang Mo had secured a pentakill with in a previous game. The coach believed that in terms of laning, Graves was less threatening than Fiddlesticks and Lee Sin.

Moreover, there were too many champions that could restrict Graves’ damage output. As long as they controlled him, even for a second, their team could dispatch Graves.

SY team’s coach thought this way, but not even ten minutes into the game, he received a harsh wake-up call—Xie Ning was caught by the enemy top laner in a skirmish, and with no Flash available, he was taken down with coordinated efforts from the enemy. At this point, the enemy top laner Gnar and the jungler Gragas were left with low health. Without hesitation, Jiang Mo dashed in, using his E ability to dodge Gragas’s close-range skill and combining auto-attacks with his Q ability on Gnar.

Gragas had already used his ultimate ability while catching Xie Ning, and he wanted to get close to Graves. However, Gravesused his ultimate ability to fire in the direction Gnar was escaping, displacing himself backward and dodging Gragas’s approach once more. He used his W ability, Smoke Screen, to obstruct Gragas’s vision, and after delivering a full rotation of attacks, Gnar had already fallen, and Gragas was significantly weakened, forced to retreat. However, Graves didn’t let him escape and chased him under the turret, securing the kill.

Double kill

SY’s mid laner was on his way to assist in this skirmish, and while Graves was fighting the two, he kept an eye on the minimap, making sure he didn’t leave the enemy turret’s attack range, and ultimately took down the turret.

The kill notification showed that Graves was killed by the turret.

In other words, in that skirmish, Gragas didn’t even touch Graves.

[“What the heck? Is this something a human can do? What was Gragas doing? Is it even possible to dodge his E?”]

[“You should say that Wish’s positioning is insane!”]

[“SY’s midlaner must be so frustrated, going there for nothing, just to watch the enemy team’s bounty increase.”]

[“Jiang Mo: I can defend the turret, but you have to leave some for me.”]

[“I’m getting goosebumps from watching this play, so why did SY’s coach let his male gunchampion out? Maybe he underestimated him?!”]

SY’s coach looked grim. He really underestimated Wish’s male gun. If he had known earlier, he would rather ban three jungle champions than let Wish’s male gun out.

In this game, Jiang Mo’s performance was excellent. Every move was on point. During team fights, thanks to Xie Ning drawing enemy fire in the front, he had space to deal damage. With his high burst damage and insane positioning, he barely got hit by the enemy’s crowd control abilities.

The most crucial moment was during the Baron Nashor team fight, where the male gun secured a triple kill. Baron Nashor was taken by SVP, and SY lost three high ground turrets and their inhibitor turret, with the nexus turrets falling as well. The economic gap had become insurmountable, and they could only defend their base and clear waves.

SVP chose a conservative approach. After taking down the enemy’s three crystal inhibitors, they went back to their base to upgrade their equipment before making a final push for the enemy’s high ground. With super minions on all three lanes and their strong damage output, SY couldn’t withstand SVP’s assault.

In the second match of the group stage, SVP earned two points.

Before the match began, the foreign audience saw a new face appearing on SVP’s roster and initially thought he was cute with his white hair. However, after the game ended, they retracted their ‘cute‘ label.

Cute my foot!

How could the adorable-looking white-haired boy on the stage be the ruthless demon king who was mercilessly killing on the battlefield?!

Before this, G10’s coach had paid little attention to SVP’s substitute rookie. The rookie had no major tournament experience, LPL had never won a world championship, and the strongest LPL teams weren’t even in the same league as their Korean teams. So, why would they fear a mere substitute jungler?

However, after witnessing SY’s defeat and learning from their mistakes, G10’s coach became more vigilant in the third match.

G10’s coach put in a lot of effort, meticulously reviewing Jiang Mo’s Summer Split matches several times, and finally developed several counter tactics.

On the day of the match, SVP’s starting player was still Xia Zeyu. G10’s coach wasn’t surprised; it was a normal choice. He had also studied Xia Zeyu and knew that he tended to get nervous during big tournaments, and applying pressure would cause him to crumble.

However, the result left him disappointed.

Xia Zeyu’s performance today wasn’t as nervous as when facing SY, and he managed to hold on during the tough jungle coordination against G10. In the bot lane, Tang Zi, with Xie Ning’s teleport support, secured a triple kill in a skirmish, setting the pace for the whole game and winning the first match.

G10’s coach remained calm despite the loss, thinking that losing this game was okay, they could bounce back in the next one.

He expected that Jiang Mo would play in the second match. However, to his surprise, Xia Zeyu was still the one to take the stage in the second match.

In the second game, Xia Zeyu seemed to have experienced a sudden transformation. He went from being on the defensive to an aggressive stance, frequently roaming with Tao Zi, who had a reputation for avoiding combat. Their attacks hit the mark several times, leaving G10 caught off guard.

If the camera had zoomed in on Xia Zeyu’s and Tao Zi’s eyes, you would have seen their heavy dark circles and bloodshot eyes.

Jiang Mo hadn’t been busy with his own training these past few days. He had played numerous ranked games with Xie Ning, and his synergy with the bot lane duo, Tang Zi and Li Yuan, was quite solid. Only with Tao Zi did they need to fine-tune their coordination. Jiang Mo was patient, and for the past few days, he had focused on supervising Xia Zeyu and Tao Zi.

G10 had a jungle coordination strategy, and so did SVP. Xia Zeyu and Tao Zi were initially struggling, but under Jiang Mo’s relentless coaching, they achieved the results seen today. Before the second game, Jiang Mo had sternly threatened the two, saying that if they didn’t cooperate properly, they wouldn’t get to eat, and they would have to train for several hours first when they returned.

Xia Zeyu and Tao Zi were most obedient to Jiang Mo’s words.

For the sake of food and their master’s praise, they gave it their all to showcase their abilities.

G10’s jungle duo was formidable, and G10’s coach aimed to disrupt Jiang Mo’s jungle area using their coordination. With the current synergy between Tao Zi and Jiang Mo, Jiang Mo decided not to engage. He knew the opponents were well-prepared, and with no certainty of winning, he maximized his chances by relying on Xia Zeyu, who had worked with Tao Zi for a longer time.

Fortunately, both Xia Zeyu and Peach lived up to his expectations.

In the group stage, SVP achieved a clean sweep, entering the knockout stage as the top seed.

After the match, G10’s coach was livid. Wish didn’t even play. He wondered why he had spent so much time studying Wish.

The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 69

The SVP team won the Summer Championship and became the talk of the night. Besides that, there was a trending topic secretly rising.

Chi Yu and Jiang Mo’s caviar super topic is on fire—

#JoiningYouAtTheTopOfTheWorld#

[Oh My God, I’m really obsessed. Do you guys understand? Mo Mo standing on the stage, facing Chi Yu in the audience, that moment, I felt like everyone else disappeared. D*mn it, for me, this is already a world-class painting. Every time I watch it, it brings tears to my eyes!]

[This must be the highest level of pursuing a wife, right? If you quit the show, I’ll quit too. If you want to go pro, I’ll support you. I’ll be by your side the whole way. While you fight on stage, I’ll be watching you from below!]

[That look in Chi Yu’s eyes is just incredible; he’s definitely saying, “Look, that’s the person I like, isn’t he outstanding?”]

[Mo Mo is Chi Yu’s fan, but isn’t Mo Mo also Chi Yu’s idol?]

[Getting into this CP ship in the beginning was the best decision I’ve ever made!]

[Congratulations to Mo Mo for winning the Summer Championship. Good luck in the World Championship, don’t work too hard! We’ll always be there for you.]

After the competition ended, there was a 20-day break, and Manager Da Tian gave each player a day off.

After the vacation, they would start preparing for the World Championship.

This year, the World Championship is taking place in China, in City A. The players don’t need to apply for visas or prepare for overseas travel, so this vacation is particularly relaxed.

With no need for training, Jiang Mo finally had time to play games with Chi Yu. They played a couple of casual games in the bedroom, and Chi Yu called for a stop.

Professional players play League of Legends every day, so if they made Jiang Mo play this game during his break as well, it would be too much for him.

Chi Yu went to the balcony to answer a phone call, and Jiang Mo opened a video website and started browsing.

There wasn’t much interesting content, so he glanced at Chi Yu on the balcony, picked up his phone, and quietly opened the super topic for CaviarChi Yu’s nickname.

The excitement from the Summer Championship hadn’t died down, and people in the super topic were discussing his relationship with Chi Yu. When he saw the posts wishing for him and Chi Yu to be together forever, Jiang Mo’s eyes curved in a smile.

“What are you looking at?”

Chi Yu walked without making a sound, and Jiang Mo was so focused that he didn’t notice Chi Yu had already returned. He hastily put away his phone, feeling a bit guilty, and stammered, “Nothing.”

Chi Yu didn’t press Jiang Mo further; he sat down beside him and casually pulled Jiang Mo onto his lap.

“There’s something I need to tell you.”

“Hmm?”

Chi Yu confessed to Jiang Mo that he had received a message from paparazzi before the news of his affair with Wish was exposed. However, he hadn’t bought the photos from them. Initially, it wasn’t a significant issue since Chi Yu was a public figure, and it was normal for paparazzi to take interest in him.

However, when it came to Jiang Mo, Chi Yu took it to heart. Before he even knew that Jiang Mo was Wish, someone had leaked this information. It seemed like the paparazzi was initially tracking him, as a well-known figure, but they might have been targeting Wish. This suspicion prompted Chi Yu to investigate, and he confirmed that the target was indeed Wish.

The photographer behind these pictures was Xu Li, the AD of the NG team. Moreover, he discovered something else.

Xu Li had been the one to report Jiang Mo’s live stream room in the past.

Upon hearing this information, Jiang Mo remained oddly calm.

“Do you want to warn him?” Chi Yu asked.

Jiang Mo shook his head, saying, “No, there’s no need.”

“Hmm?”

Jiang Mo continued, “He can’t stir up much trouble.”

In the previous life, NG had succeeded because of his addition to the team, and with the efforts of the senior players, they had managed to enter the World Championship and win the championship trophy. But now, without Jiang Mo, the senior players had been replaced by NG’s owner, and the NG team would eventually exit the LPL stage.

Without him and the help of the senior players, without his constant practice sessions with Xu Li, and without the prestige of a world champion, Xu Li would struggle to join a top-tier team. Back when the PG team had accepted Xu Li, it was because he was a champion AD, and NG was riddled with numerous scandals. Xu Li was the only clean slate, and fans felt sorry for him. Staying in such a team would eventually lead to his obscurity. So, the PG team had taken Xu Li as a substitute.

Now, Xu Li could only watch NG’s downward spiral and seethe with jealousy from a dark corner.

Given Xu Li’s cautious nature, he couldn’t pull off any major schemes. He was a professional player, and the league’s disciplinary team constantly monitored the players. Unless he wanted to leave the esports scene, he wouldn’t be able to do anything significant.

After leaving the NG team, there might be a small team willing to take in Xu Li, but the outcome will be no different – a few years of playing, ultimately retiring to become a small-time streamer, continuing to envy him from the sidelines.

“He… he’s already pitiful enough. Just let him be. The higher I stand, the more he envies me, but he can’t make any waves. I don’t have any dirt to dig up on him either.” To be honest, Jiang Mo felt a bit sorry for Xu Li; he could make anyone envious, even someone unfamiliar.

Without talent, one should put in more effort. If that’s not possible, then it’s time to accept one’s fate. Xu Li was already in a better position than many, at least he could join a professional team, but he was wasting his time on these matters – truly a pitiable situation.

Chi Yu’s eyes flashed with surprise; his little fool at home was quite magnanimous.

No dirt to dig up?

Chi Yu found it amusing.

Jiang Mo publicly berated trolls during interviews, openly admitting in front of Xu Ta’s live audience that Lull couldn’t beat him. These could also be considered dirty secrets.

However, in the eyes of Jiang Mo’s fans, he was just a cute little guy who spoke the truth, albeit with a stutter.

For the past two months, this was the best night’s sleep Jiang Mo had ever had. He slept until three in the afternoon and groggily got up.

During Jiang Mo’s slumber, Chi Yu sat by the bed, quietly reading a book. When he saw Jiang Mo wake up, he immediately put the book down and reached out to pull Jiang Mo out of the covers.

Jiang Mo was still half-asleep, his body weak and unresistant. He didn’t fight it and let Chi Yu pull him into his arms.

Chi Yu used his fingers to tidy Jiang Mo’s messy hair. As he lowered his head, his forehead bumped into Chi Yu’s chin.

Chi Yu playfully patted his head. “Still tired?”

Jiang Mo mumbled, “A bit.”

Chi Yu asked, “Want to sleep some more?”

With his forehead against Chi Yu’s chin, Jiang Mo gently shook his head. “I might not be able to fall back asleep.”

Chi Yu’s hair being tousled by Jiang Mo made him itch a little. He patted Jiang Mo’s back and arm to help relax his muscles. “Alright, when you’re awake, we’ll head back home.”

“Which home?”

“My home.”

“Oh.”

Chi Yu: “My parents are back, and they want to meet you.”

Jiang Mo instantly became wide awake: “!”

Chi Yu’s parents usually reside abroad, and Chi Yu can only meet them when he goes abroad for work. Their sudden request to meet made Jiang Mo extremely anxious. He rummaged through his wardrobe but couldn’t find a single outfit suitable for meeting Chi Yu’s parents.

Chi Yu found it amusing and a bit wicked, watching Jiang Mo, who looked like a startled kitten, frantically wandering around the room. After he had his fill of Jiang Mo’s adorable confusion, he picked a plain white T-shirt from the wardrobe. On the shirt, there was only a cute, cartoonish cat.

“Just wear this.”

Jiang Mo asked, “Wouldn’t this be too impolite?”

“Do you know how hot it is outside?”

This summer was exceptionally scorching, and even in the late evening, the temperature was still 37 degrees Celsius. Chi Yu was concerned that Jiang Mo would get too hot, so he chose an outfit that Jiang Mo often wore.

“You can wear anything; they will like you no matter what,” Chi Yu assured.

“But…” Jiang Mo hesitated.

Chi Yu, without further ado, tried to help Jiang Mo take off his Minion pajamas.

Jiang Mo protested, “I can do it myself.”

Chi Yu let go, saying, “You’re adorable. What you wear doesn’t matter. I’m sure my mom will absolutely like you.”

Leaving the training base, Chi Yu got into his car. Jiang Mo, sitting in the car, was unusually nervous and held onto his backpack tightly.

This was his first romantic relationship, and he hadn’t been with Chi Yu for even half a year, and now he was going to meet Chi Yu’s parents.

Things were progressing way too quickly.

However, upon careful consideration, he realized that he had actually introduced Chi Yu to his own parents before they got together. It seemed like he was the one pushing things along.

Before leaving, Chi Yu purposely put some clothes and a notebook in Jiang Mo’s Minion backpack. During this break, they didn’t plan to stay at the training base. He intended to take Jiang Mo back to his home and also planned to visit Jiang Mo’s own home.

Every time they encountered a red light, Chi Yu would turn to the nervous Jiang Mo sitting in the passenger seat.

Jiang Mo, nervously clutching his backpack, looked incredibly cute.

With Jiang Mo in this state, Chi Yu’s family member would definitely adore him to no end.

As they drove up the mountain road, Chi Yu finally spoke calmly, “My mom might be quite enthusiastic. I hope you don’t mind. If she makes you uncomfortable in any way, don’t endure it; speak up directly.”

Jiang Mo blinked and said, “O-Okay.”

Enthusiastic? Jiang Mo didn’t quite understand how enthusiastic Chi Yu’s mother could be. He only understood when he finally met Chi Yu’s mother that this level of enthusiasm was unlike anything he had imagined.

The car reached the mountaintop and came to a stop in front of a vast green field.

“We’re here.”As Chi Yu’s words fell, Jiang Mo finally realized it. He looked out the car window and, with a single glance, he was captivated by the sight of a massive grassy area, several football fields in size, but what truly drew his attention was the towering Gothic castle.

Surrounded by lush greenery, the white castle was bathed in the orange-red hues of the setting sun. Its spires reached high into the sky, as if they were about to pierce through the heavens. Jiang Mo couldn’t help but swallow hard, feeling tiny sitting in the car, gazing up at this castle, as if he had been transported into a fictional fairy tale world.

He began to doubt whether he was dressed for a contemporary fanfiction or a Disney fairy tale.

“I-Is this your home?”

Chi Yu gave the castle a brief look and replied casually, “Sort of. I feel pressured living here, so I spent my childhood living with my grandparents.”

Jiang Mo said, “…” Indeed, it would be quite challenging, and all the ups and downs of the mountain road wouldn’t make it any easier. It could also be a bit inconvenient for schooling.

Jiang Mo held Chi Yu’s hand and entered the front gate. He was somewhat scared, hiding behind Chi Yu’s arm, his eyes constantly surveying his surroundings.

“Mo Mo.” A pleasant voice came from above, and Jiang Mo raised his head. A woman in a fluffy light blue skirt was running down the spiral staircase.

The sound of high heels striking the floor was exceptionally loud, but the woman strode confidently, without a trace of fear that she might stumble. She rushed over, pushed Chi Yu aside, and embraced Jiang Mo.

Jiang Mo: “…”

The woman was quite tall, and with the help of high heels, she was probably around 1.75 meters.

After revealing his true identity, Jiang Mo had stopped wearing height-increasing insoles. This time, he hadn’t worn them either. He had grown accustomed to constantly looking up at Chi Yu. The woman’s height didn’t bother Jiang Mo, but something else did —

The woman cradled Jiang Mo’s face in her hands, and her warm palms kept kneading his cheeks, like she was kneading dough.

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo was startled, and at the same time, he got a clear look at Chi Yu’s mother’s face.

Chi Yu’s mother was exceptionally beautiful, and Chi Yu inherited about sixty percent of her features. Jiang Mo wondered about her skincare routine because despite being in her fifties, her real age was entirely indiscernible. She looked as if she were in her thirties, and even when she smiled, the fine lines around her eyes were barely noticeable.

“Oh my, you’re even cuter in person than on the screen, and your skin is so flawless…” Chi Yu’s mother seemed completely hooked, and Jiang Mo’s face had turned red from all the rubbing. He remained stiff, completely forgetting the promise he had just made to Chi Yu.

Chi Yu’s face darkened, and he raised his hand to shield Jiang Mo behind him, reminding helplessly, “Mom.”

Chi Yu’s mother blinked, tilted her head, and looked at Jiang Mo, who was hiding behind Chi Yu. “Mo Mo, Auntie really likes you, don’t be bothered, okay?”

Jiang Mo: “It’s… it’s okay.”

Chi Yu’s mother covered her face, burying her excited voice in her hands. “You are just so adorable!”

Jiang Mo: “…”

In the magnificent castle, there was indeed the presence of a princess, and Chi Yu’s mother was that princess.

Even in the height of summer, Chi Yu’s mother was wearing a heavy dress. Although it had short sleeves, the fabric of the dress was far from breathable. Chi Yu’s mother was adorned with gemstones, and as she walked, she couldn’t help but feel burdened and hot.

Being able to challenge this attire in nearly forty-degree heat was all thanks to the castle’s comfortable temperature, as they also had air conditioning.

After meeting Chi Yu’s mother, Jiang Mo was led by Chi Yu to meet his father.

Chi Yu’s father’s personality was the perfect complement to Chi Yu’s mother. He was more reserved and always had a gentle smile on his face. Chi Yu inherited his father’s height; Chi Yu’s father was towering at nearly 1.9 meters. In the presence of these two tall men, Jiang Mo felt like a tiny, helpless chick.

“This… this is for you.” Jiang Mo opened his backpack and took out a bottle of red wine he had bought from a winery during their journey, specifically asking Chi Yu to stop the car for it.

He didn’t know what to get for his elders as a gift, but when Chi Yu mentioned that his father enjoyed wine, he didn’t hesitate to buy the brand recommended by Chi Yu.

“Thank you, I really like it.” Chi Yu’s father accepted the red wine from Jiang Mo, and his gaze rested on Jiang Mo’s blushing cheeks, his eyes filled with a smile.

This was making him way too nervous; was he really that intimidating?

During dinner, they didn’t have Western cuisine; the table was filled with dishes that Jiang Mo liked, as if they knew he was coming and prepared accordingly.

It was the most nerve-wracking meal for Jiang Mo. Chi Yu nonchalantly served him food, and Chi Yu’s mother, with her eyes fixed on him, smilingly assisted him as well.

After the meal, Jiang Mo felt very full. Chi Yu was called by his father to discuss matters, and Jiang Mo was taken to Chi Yu’s room by his mother.

“Mo Mo, you must have worked up a sweat outside. Go take a bath; Auntie has prepared clean clothes for you.”

Jiang Mo was pushed into the bathroom, looking bewildered. He had just finished eating; did he need to take a bath now?

“Auntie won’t disturb you for now. Take your time,” Chi Yu’s mother said, smiling, as she placed the change of clothes on the shelf and considerately closed the bathroom door behind Jiang Mo.

Jiang Mo looked at his flushed face in the mirror. Indeed, he had sweated outside earlier. Since it was Chi Yu’s mother’s concern, he accepted it.

After showering, when he saw the clothes Chi Yu’s mother had prepared for him, Jiang Mo realized something was off. Instead of pajamas, she had given him a clean long-sleeved white shirt. Strangely, it had a frilly collar, resembling a medieval style. The pants were knee-length black shorts, and the overall combination didn’t seem out of place.

With no other clothing options, Jiang Mo reluctantly put it on.

Chi Yu’s mother sat on the couch, waiting for him. When she saw Jiang Mo emerge, styled in an entirely different look, her eyes lit up.

“So beautiful, like a little prince!” Chi Yu’s mother walked over with a smile, handing Jiang Mo a black vest, “Mo Mo, be a good boy and put this on too. It will make you even more handsome.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

After an hour of conversation with his father, Chi Yu came out of the study and returned to his room. He saw Jiang Mo, who had been transformed into a different style by his mother, and he was taken aback.

Chi Yu’s mother waved to Chi Yu and said with a smile, “You’re back. Look at Mo Mo; doesn’t he look just like a little prince!”

Apart from the outfit he had put on in the bathroom, Jiang Mo was also given a sleeveless black vest and a waist-length black cape by Chi Yu’s mother. The cape had a large black-and-white bow on the back, and two strings dangled down to Jiang Mo’s calves. He was dressed in medieval-style black boots, and the high heels suddenly made him significantly taller.

With his fair complexion and no makeup, Jiang Mo’s lips had a natural red tint, not requiring much enhancement. Chi Yu’s mother had only added more curl to his eyelashes and a touch of red eyeshadow at the corners, making his eyes more vibrant. Without needing to wear colored contact lenses, Jiang Mo’s black eyes were suitable, looking like he had large, black-colored lenses.

Not exactly a little prince, more like a valuable medieval doll.

Jiang Mo’s cheeks were nearly rubbed red by Chi Yu’s mother, and with this appearance, he looked even more endearing.

He had promised himself that he wouldn’t endure this before heading up the mountain, yet he was such a fool.

Chi Yu sighed, approached his mother, and pulled her away. He spoke gently, “It’s getting late; you should go to bed.”

“Fine!” Chi Yu’s mother pouted unhappily, but when she looked at Jiang Mo again, a smile appeared on her face. “Mo Mo, we’ll see you tomorrow.”

“See you…tomorrow.”

Chi Yu’s mother considerately closed the door for the two of them. The sound of high heels outside gradually faded, and Jiang Mo finally let out a sigh of relief.

Chi Yu sounded somewhat helpless as he explained to Jiang Mo, “My maternal grandfather is strict, and my mother has had princess syndrome since she was a child. She couldn’t act willful in front of my maternal grandfather. After marrying my dad, she was indulged like this. She genuinely likes you, finds you cute, and that’s why she wanted to dress you up. If you don’t like it, just say so. She won’t force you to wear it.”

Jiang Mo: “I see.”

People always have peculiar quirks, but Jiang Mo didn’t dislike Chi Yu’s mother’s quirk. He wasn’t averse to it.

“It’s… it’s alright. After all, it’s not women’s clothing, so I don’t mind.”

When Chi Yu was younger, Chi Yu’s mother used to enjoy dressing him up like a doll. He had once unknowingly worn women’s clothing at a young age. Afterward, he firmly refused to wear the clothes his mother prepared for him. Chi Yu’s mother had retained a deep obsession because of it. Upon seeing the adorable Jiang Mo, there was no way she could suppress her years of yearning.

Now Chi Yu understood the benefits of his mother’s quirk. Dressing up dolls by hand was indeed a joyful activity, especially when it came to playing with his own doll.

Jiang Mo was about to take off the clothes when Chi Yu stopped him.

“Don’t take it off yet.”

Jiang Mo: “?”

Jiang Mo: “Is it… weird for me to wear this? It feels a bit strange.”

Chi Yu’s eyes deepened, “No, you look very handsome.”

NSFW (Not Safe For Work):   Show

He lifted Jiang Mo from the waist, causing Jiang Mo to startle and instinctively hook his arms around Chi Yu’s neck.

Chi Yu placed Jiang Mo on the large bed, and Jiang Mo sat down. He knelt in front of Jiang Mo, grabbing Jiang Mo’s slender calf.

Even though Jiang Mo was wearing boots, Chi Yu’s large palm firmly held onto Jiang Mo’s ankle, and he could feel the scorching heat through the leather. Jiang Mo’s face turned red, and he stammered, “What are you… doing?”

Chi Yu’s other hand moved along the side of Jiang Mo’s other boot, stopping at the knee with its natural pink hue. He lifted his head, his voice deep, “Doing.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo involuntarily swallowed, and in the midst of a room with a medieval atmosphere and peculiar dressing, Jiang Mo immersed himself in the role, where the kneeling Chi Yu seemed to be his devoted servant, helping his master undress and prepare for sleep in the quiet of the night.

Jiang Mo didn’t respond immediately, but Chi Yu didn’t wait for his response. He directly untied the straps of his boot, and the release of the boots on his lower legs also released Jiang Mo’s restraint.

Jiang Mo lowered his head, attempting to hide his embarrassment. Little did he know that the moment Chi Yu raised his head, he could see all of Jiang Mo’s shyness and his tacit consent to Chi Yu’s actions.

Chi Yu removed Jiang Mo’s right boot and, leaning down, placed a gentle kiss on his calf.

Jiang Mo’s body trembled slightly, and Chi Yu’s lips extended upwards, kissing over his knee, and his teeth gently nibbled on the curved knee bone. Chi Yu’s tongue circled around the knee bone, as if savoring a sweet lollipop.

The strength in Jiang Mo’s right leg seemed to have been instantly drained, leaving it limp and soft. His bare feet on Chi Yu’s thigh still felt soft. Jiang Mo unconsciously gripped the bedsheets. This time, the experience was different from before.

In the past, Chi Yu usually started from the lips and gradually moved downwards, but this time, it was from the bottom to the top.

It was also the first time he was serviced by Chi Yu while wearing formal attire. Once he thought it was over, but Chi Yu didn’t stop.

His thin lips nibbled on Jiang Mo’s earlobe, licking away the tears that had fallen on his ear, and he asked, “Are you scared?”

Jiang Mo’s body trembled, and his Adam’s apple rolled twice. He instinctively knew what Chi Yu was going to do next, and he felt a bit frightened. However, in his hesitation, he had already lost the right to answer.

Chi Yu’s hoarse voice whispered a curse in his ear, “Then I will continue.”

The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 68

Yesterday, the losers of the semifinals were determined in the preliminary round. The PG team faced the RAG team, with RAG losing to PG by 2:3 and getting eliminated. PG smoothly advanced to the next round, where they would compete for a spot in the finals against the next round’s opponent.

The next round’s opponents were chosen from the SVP team and the UN team. The winner would directly advance to the finals, while the losing team would have to compete with the PG team for the remaining finals spot.

The match against the UN team began at 4 PM and after a long and intense four-hour battle, SVP won 3:1, securing their place in the finals. As per tradition, Xia Zeyu was the first to enter the match. If the team lost, Jiang Mo would replace him. SVP secured two victories with Xia Zeyu, and when they lost the third round, Jiang Mo took his place. Strangely, in the hearts of SVP fans, the mere sight of Wish entering the game made them instinctively relax. They believed that as long as Wish played, SVP would win.Jiang Mo didn’t disappoint the audience, achieving an outstanding 6-1 record with the male gun champion and earning the MVP of the game.

Jiang Mo was used to wearing a mask, and this time was no different. He wore a mask when he came out and didn’t take it off until the game was over, leaving everyone wondering why Jiang Mo felt the need to hide.

Did Jiang Mo really need to cover up like this?

The new fans of Jiang Mo felt sorry for him, seeing how he had been forced into hiding and not daring to show hos face. Those haters were truly despicable!

The fans who came for Jiang Mo were still learning about League of Legends, and they started from the time when Jiang Mo first started livestreaming. At that time, Jiang Mo was already very cute, which is why he attracted so many viewers.

Hearing that Jiang Mo was defending his family and competing against someone with a dirty mouth, they couldn’t help but feel sympathetic. Jiang Mo had always been kind-hearted, so how could anyone bear to target such a sweet and innocent person?

The nickname ‘Xiao Jieba‘ was just too cute. From Mo Mo to Wish’s husband, and now, Jiang Mo had a new nickname.

They also reviewed Jiang Mo’s past game videos, even though they didn’t fully understand the gaming aspect. They had to rely on commentary to grasp what was happening. They loved Jiang Mo for his skills, and when they heard the excited commentary, their emotions were also stirred, and they proudly supported Jiang Mo through the barrage of comments.

After the game, there were player interviews. SVP’s interviews were conducted in order, and Jiang Mo had only been interviewed twice. The first time was his debut, and the second time was when he made his haters acknowledge him.

“Because, because some people have a bad memory, and if I don’t show up, they won’t know who their ‘dad’ is.”

When Jiang Mo, who appeared to lack confidence, said this, his fans were left speechless. Could their sweet and adorable little bean say such a thing?!

Oh my, Jiang Mo even knew how to swear.

However, he’s quite cute when he’s scolding people.

[“I don’t respect anyone except Wish. He openly made the haters acknowledge their ‘dad’ during an interview. He’s not afraid of suspension at all!”]

[“Did he scold someone? I didn’t hear it. He was clearly sweet-talking me!”]

[“You guys are making a big fuss over nothing! Is it because he has the backing of Chi the Movie Emperor that there are no penalties? @League Discipline Team, are you not doing your job?”]

[“Stop barking there; the punishment came down a long time ago, and the money has been paid!”]

[“What money?”]

Many people didn’t know about this incident and found the interview quite entertaining. Wish’s previous statement gained her a lot of fans.

However, on the day when he scolded someone, the League Discipline Team contacted the SVP team, and the fine was paid personally by Dai Tian. Dai Tian didn’t show any sadness or anger because it was he who encouraged the host to ask this question that day. He dared to do so because it was Boss Chi who instructed it, and the fine was naturally covered by Boss Chi’s wallet. Why would a part-timer like him dare to interfere when others were pampering their boyfriends?

On the day Jiang Mo admitted that he was Wish, the CP fans went crazy all night and dug up this incident as well.

They once again saw a different side of Chi Yu, who was in a relationship. He was way too indulgent in love; he would spoil the child sooner or later!

Wasn’t he spoiled to the heavens?

Dai Tian appeared calm on the surface but couldn’t help but think, “These CP fans have it all wrong. It’s not Boss Chi who spoils Jiang Mo; it’s Jiang Mo who spoils Boss Chi. This silly child listens to everything Boss Chi says and follows his every word. If Boss Chi acts pitiful, Jiang Mo pities him. Isn’t it like doting on a child?”

SVP’s match had just ended, and the next day was the match between the PG team and the UN team. The two teams faced each other once again, and this time the PG team gave it their all. Veteran Lull adjusted his form and avenged their previous defeat. In the first two matches, the jungle played aggressively, and the mid and jungle coordination set the pace, resulting in a 3:1 victory over the UN team, sending them out of the finals.

Several members of SVP didn’t participate in training; instead, they watched these matches along with the audience. Regardless of which team wins, they will be their opponents next. Knowing the enemy is the key to victory, so they were not just watching the games; they were studying the opponents’ playing style and strategies.

As a result, two days later, SVP would compete with the PG team for the Summer Championship trophy.

Coach A’kang turned off the video and patted each player’s shoulder before solemnly saying, “Now that you know who the opponent is, let’s continue training.”

“Yes.”

On the eve of the competition, Coach A’kang didn’t allow the players to stay up too late, knowing that a good night’s sleep was essential for sharp focus.

At 2 AM, urged by the coach, Jiang Mo and the others shut down their computers and returned to their rooms.

Chi Yu knew Jiang Mo was tired and had prepared a bathtub full of hot water for him. As soon as he came back, he immersed himself in the hot water. The bathroom door was unlocked. Jiang Mo leaned over the edge of the tub, his eyes lacking vitality, almost falling asleep.

Suddenly, the bathroom door was pushed open from outside, and Jiang Mo snapped awake, his trembling causing the foam in the bathtub to fluctuate.

“Why… Why did you come in?” Jiang Mo was startled to see Chi Yu walk in with an innocent expression.

Chi Yu had a scrubbing glove on one hand and said matter-of-factly, “I’m here to scrub your back.”

Jiang Mo hesitated, “No, it’s okay. Give me the glove, and I can do it myself.”

Chi Yu smiled, “You can do it yourself in other places, but what about your back?”

Jiang Mo blushed and felt embarrassed. Although they had been open with each other for a while, he still needed to psych himself up before each time they got intimate. He had poor adaptability in that regard.

“Come on,” Chi Yu gently touched the hand Jiang Mo had raised to stop him, “I’m just going to give you a massage; it’ll be more comfortable. You’re always sitting, and I’m worried about you developing neck problems.”

“Okay,” Jiang Mo said, still blushing. He turned around in the bathtub, presenting his back to Chi Yu.

The foam had piled up on the surface of the tub, but it didn’t matter since Chi Yu couldn’t see through it anyway. He was just going to scrub Jiang Mo’s back, nothing more.

When the scrubbing glove first touched Jiang Mo’s back, it stung a bit. Chi Yu used gentle force, waiting for Jiang Mo to get used to it before applying more pressure.

“Ouch!” Jiang Mo used to be good at enduring pain, but in front of Chi Yu, he forgot how to suppress it. He instinctively let out a cry. As he spoke, he turned his head, and his eyes instantly turned red, as if shouting in pain was not enough, and he had to convey his distress to Chi Yu through his expression.

Chi Yu’s heart suddenly skipped a beat. The suppressed thoughts broke through the surface, slowly taking root and sprouting.

“I’m sorry, I hurt you,” Chi Yu touched the corner of Jiang Mo’s reddened eye with his hand that wasn’t wearing a glove.

Jiang Mo sniffled and whispered, “It’s… it’s okay, I can bear it.”

Jiang Mo’s face was wet, his hair had gotten soaked, and water dripped from the tips, penetrating his long eyelashes. With each blink, the drops rolled down to his cheeks and slipped into his dimples, which were slightly raised.

Chi Yu’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He leaned in closer, ignoring the risk of getting his clothes wet from the foam and water. He extended his tongue and licked the water droplets from the dimple on Jiang Mo’s cheek.

Jiang Mo: “…”

“Poor thing,” Chi Yu used his fingertip to wipe away the water near Jiang Mo’s eyes, murmuring, “But I can’t resist it; I can only inconvenience you a bit more.”

Jiang Mo: “?”

Jiang Mo’s lips were sealed, and while he was still dazed from Chi Yu’s kiss, Chi Yu removed his glove and began massaging Jiang Mo’s back with his palm and fingertips. It seemed as if he was providing a reason not to let Jiang Mo get angry, as he had said – he was just here to help with a massage.

The bath lasted a long time, and when Jiang Mo was about to faint from relaxation, Chi Yu lifted him out of the bathroom. He lay Jiang Mo down on the soft bed. Jiang Mo was completely limp, without the strength to even confront Chi Yu.

Chi Yu had changed into fresh clothes, turned off the lights, and lay down with Jiang Mo. He tirelessly patted Jiang Mo’s back over and over, urging him to fall asleep quickly.

On the day of the Summer Championship Finals, the match was scheduled to begin at 5 o’clock.

At 4 o’clock, the players from both teams were in the rest area preparing for the match.

The anticipation for today’s match was immense, and the excitement was off the charts. The match was set in the most spacious venue of the sports center. The audience included players from the eliminated teams. Some teams’ bases were not in City A, and traveling back and forth was too troublesome, so they had no choice but to watch online.

“Welcome to the 2023 LPL Summer Championship Finals…” the voice of the commentator Chang Feng echoed in the center of the arena.

Before the players took the stage, the audience in front of the screens had already watched the promotional videos for both teams. In previous years, before the finals, both participating teams would undergo interviews. The league officials would then include these contents in the promotional videos. The players, who were familiar with each other, would even exchange some trash talk, which was allowed.

As a newcomer, Jiang Mo dared to challenge the keyboard warriors, but he didn’t want to boast in front of his seniors. When the audience saw the players from both teams engaging in some trash talk, they noticed a breath of fresh air within the teams.

Facing the camera, Jiang Mo removed his mask, revealing his extremely photogenic face. The host asked him if he had anything to say to the players.

He looked up, and his long bangs fell over his eyes. His previously expressionless face was broken as he blinked uncomfortably and casually said, “Good luck.”

[“Oh my god, can someone please explain to me why the note for the white-haired handsome guy in the bottom left corner says ‘Wish’? Who said they weren’t good-looking during the interview? This isn’t good-looking? How should we regular people face the mirror?”]

[“Ah, please take off the mask. I’ll be truly devastated if this face isn’t revealed. It’s simply a work of art!”

][“Haha, this is making me laugh. Is this your way of winking at the opponent?”]

[“Haha, a unique form of a wink. Darling, if you’re uncomfortable, just rub your eye. Don’t endure it!”]

[“Haha, he’s too obedient! So cute!”]

Before taking the stage for the upcoming match, the starting lineup remained the same as before, following the old rules. If they lost one match, Jiang Mo would then take the stage.

“Good luck.”

Before going on stage, Xie Ning reached out his hand, and everyone in the rest area looked at each other, then stood up. Several hands were stacked together, and they all collectively said, “Good luck.”

During the spring season, the original SVP lineup faced off against the PG team, playing the full number of matches each time. Sometimes PG would win, and sometimes SVP would win, depending on the performance of Xie Ning and Tang Zi.

In the summer season, the PG team also knew that Xia Zeyu and Tao Zi had changed. They no longer underestimated the jungle and mid-lane positions. SVP’s mid-lane and jungle had improved, and the first problem they posed was the pick and ban phase. In the past, during the hero ban phase, the PG team always targeted Xie Ning and Tang Zi. Now they also had to consider Xia Zeyu.

Seeing Foyego in the ban phase again, Xia Zeyu’s fans shed tears of emotion. Witnessing the progress of their own player was a joyful thing. However, when facing the veteran Lull, Xia Zeyu still felt somewhat overwhelmed.

Jiang Mo knew all the LPL veterans, having played with them for several years, going through their peak, low points, and then returning to glory until retirement.

On the battlefield, there is no room for sentimentality or showing respect to one’s elders. Useless sympathy must be set aside.

PG’s Lull was retiring after this summer season, maybe he’d hold on until the next spring season, but what did it matter?

The championship had to be theirs.

Before the match, Jiang Mo provided Xia Zeyu with additional solo training sessions.

The results were quite good. In this game, Xia Zeyu played a decent early game with no major mistakes, but also lacked any remarkable performances. The jungle area saw no errors, but it was the bot lane that made an early mistake.

PG’s jungle and mid-laner paid a visit to the bot lane, securing a kill on the bot lane duo.

Upon respawning, Xia Zeyu wanted to help but found himself in a 4-man gank situation, and this time, there was also a teleport from the top lane. The opposing team defended the turret with all five players, and three of SVP’s players were killed under the tower. Xie Ning couldn’t teleport in time from top lane, and by the time she arrived, the team fight was already over. Tao Zi came late and ended up fleeing.

Victory tilted in favor of the PG team. Xia Zeyu risked his life to steal a dragon in the dragon pit, recovering the situation slightly. The tier one and tier two towers in the bot and mid lanes were consecutively taken down. Xie Ning defended the top lane and kept pushing it. The PG team regrouped and attacked the top lane, while Tang Zi and Tao Zi sacrificed minion waves in both lanes to provide timely support. In the top lane team fight, it was a 4-for-3 trade in favor of SVP. They were left with Tao Zi, while the opponents had their mid-laner and support remaining. They couldn’t take the Baron for the time being, so it was a small victory.

After Tang Zi and Xie Ning respawned, they went to clear waves in the mid and bot lanes, knowing that SVP needed to push the lanes. PG’s players rushed towards the Baron pit after respawning, and the support player who had survived the earlier team fight had already set up vision in the Baron pit.

“They’re going for the Baron,” the support, Li Yuan, reminded.

“I know, but it’s too late,” Tang Zi replied anxiously.

Their minion waves were in bad shape. If they rushed over as soon as they resurrected, the minions would push down the inner towers in the bottom and middle lanes. They had to clear the waves, but now it was too late.

“No, there’s still a chance,” Xia Zeyu’s voice rang out. “Tao Zi, play with me the way you do with Master Jiang Mo.”

Xie Ning and Tang Zi were both stunned. They had never heard Xia Zeyu speak with such confidence before.

Xia Zeyu had truly changed.

Tao Zi said, “Alright.”

Even Tao Zi agreed.

After Tao Zi finished speaking, his Sand King was already close to the Baron pit. Li Yuan, the support, understood without words and rushed towards the Baron pit to provide vision.

PG’s vision caught sight of Tao Zi, and Tao Zi knew it, but he didn’t retreat.

The Sand King’s ultimate could push away nearby enemies, preventing them from using gap-closing abilities to approach the wall.

Tao Zi used a combination of his abilities to jump into the Baron pit. At the same time, Xia Zeyu’s Lee Sin placed a ward above the pit. Before he could see how many enemies were there, Tao Zi’s ultimate unhesitatingly pushed everyone in the Baron pit. PG focused on Tao Zi, and Lee Sin landed a successful Q on the Baron, followed by a Q dash into the pit. At the moment Tao Zi died, the Baron was also slain.

The commentator, Zhang Changfeng, excitedly exclaimed, “Lee Sin stole the Baron! In the same location, after Wish’s player, Xia Zeyu has also taken the Baron from the enemy.”

Da Tian’s face turned red with excitement, and his voice broke, “Turnaround, turnaround! Damn it, Xia Zeyu, do you know what a great feat you’ve just achieved?”

Jiang Mo displayed a relieved smile, gripping Chi Yu’s hand even harder. Just a moment ago, he was so nervous he couldn’t even breathe.

Securing the Baron came with a bit of luck, but it also depended on teamwork. Tao Zi played this sequence exceptionally well, similar to when Tang Zi bravely used her ultimate to deal damage to Rag during their match. Whether it was Tang Zi or Tao Zi, both of them created the opportunity for the jungle to steal the Baron.

[“Is stealing the Baron a traditional skill for your SVP? I’m starting to suspect the Baron is raised by your team!”]

[“Damn it, I’m close to tears! Xia Zeyu, you really have shown your mastery!”]

[“Waaa, who will dare speak ill of Xia Zeyu and Tao Zi in the future? They are truly growing, did you see that?”]

[“Haha, Li Yuan also made a significant contribution, didn’t he?”]

Although Xia Zeyu managed to secure the Baron, he didn’t have as good an opportunity as Jiang Mo did back then. After taking the Baron, he was overwhelmed by the enemy and killed. Li Yuan managed to escape successfully, leaving three Dragon spawns. With the Baron buff, Xie Ning continued to push the lane, and Tang Zi was protected by Li Yuan as they pushed the waves.

Due to the extra time gained from the Baron buff, the next team fight resulted in a five-for-five exchange, and SVP slowly caught up with PG in terms of economy.

The game lasted for forty-two minutes, and in the end, SVP had broken two of PG’s high ground towers, and the PG team’s main crystal was destroyed

.SVP won the first match.

“Xiao Yu, Tao Zi, you were amazing.” After the players left the stage, Da Tian hadn’t calmed down yet. When he saw Xia Zeyu and Tao Zi, he rushed over and hugged them. Coach A’kang and Xiao Xi couldn’t resist the urge and took turns hugging them too.

Jiang Mo thought of joining the celebration, but Chi Yu held him back, and with a warning look from Chi Yu, he dismissed the thought.

Xia Zeyu and Tao Zi, with blushing faces, ran over and asked Jiang Mo shyly, “Master, were we good?”

“Good? You were outstanding!” Jiang Mo sat obediently next to Chi Yu, offering words of encouragement.

Xia Zeyu’s performance in this match was fantastic, even he was a bit surprised. His hands were shaking after coming off the stage, and his emotions were running high. He knew he needed to calm down as such excitement could affect his performance.

In the second match, Jiang Mo inquired about the coach’s opinion and, with Coach A’kang’s agreement, switched places with Xia Zeyu.

Before going on stage, Jiang Mo turned around and, in front of everyone, embraced Chi Yu. He forgot what shyness meant as he leaned against Chi Yu’s chest and whispered, “You have to keep watching me. This is the first championship trophy I’m winning for you.”

“Alright.”

Upon hearing from the commentators that SVP was making a substitution, the audience was no longer as resistant as the first time, and there was no dispute over the change.

Whether it was Xia Zeyu or Wish, they were both SVP’s junglers, and the audience was content with whoever took the stage.

When the audience and the viewers in the broadcast room saw Jiang Mo, who was not wearing a mask or any covering, walk onto the stage, they were still amazed.

The cameraman intentionally zoomed in on Jiang Mo’s face.

It was a sunny day, and there was no rain, so the match was being held outdoors. The night breeze lifted Jiang Mo’s white hair, exposing his complete face. After taking the stage, he walked straight toward the player seats. He turned his body slightly, and the audience only saw a few seconds of his full face, but that image was etched into their minds.

The players in the seating area couldn’t help but exclaim in astonishment.

[“Ah, ah, ah, Wish, how could you have ever calmly said that you’re not good-looking? If you’re not good-looking, then what about the other players?”]

[“These days, are all the handsome guys so self-aware? Or is this handsome guy a bit slow, not even knowing whether he’s good-looking or not?”]

[“Mo Mo is just being humble.”]

“Damn, do they have to be this merciless? It’s one thing if they’re good at the game, but they’re so good-looking!” UN team, who had lost to SVP in the previous match, also attended the event, and their captain, Chen Jia, looked indignant as he stared at Jiang Mo, who was adjusting his equipment on the player’s seat.

D*mn, he looked even better when you took a closer look.

“Ah, when someone is good-looking, jealousy won’t get them anywhere,” Xu Ta, sitting next to him, patted Chen Jia on the shoulder and gave a laid-back smile.

The losers from other teams sitting in the audience showed jealousy and distorted expressions, just like Chen Jia, as they stared at Jiang Mo on the stage.

“I have a feeling that in the coming years, we’ll always be living in his shadow,” Chen Jia said.

UN’s top laner, Ha Ha, chuckled, “Captain, you’re joking, right? How could that be!”

Chen Jia: “Don’t laugh; my intuition has always been accurate.”

Ha Ha: “I don’t believe it.”

Chen Jia crunched on a potato chip, “Believe it or not.”

Xu Ta slowly raised his hand and confirmed, “I believe it.”

The two teammates from the two teams oddly had the same unspoken agreement.

Jiang Mo’s sudden appearance disrupted the plans of the PG coach. Fortunately, he was well-prepared, though this self-assurance was merely comforting himself.

The PG coach had spent an entire summer split reviewing Jiang Mo’s matches and ranked videos but had not been able to figure out how to counter him. Jiang Mo had seen the coach’s attempts, and he knew there was no specific strategy. He played too unpredictably, and there was no pattern to his gameplay. Nobody could anticipate what would happen during the match; they could only react based on the current situation.

The PG coach attributed everything to the “rookie protection period.” Since Jiang Mo was a completely new player who had just joined the team and started playing in the summer split, the other teams hadn’t had enough time to spar or communicate with him. He was still an unknown player, which gave Jiang Mo an opportunity to seize.

However, after the second match, the PG coach dismissed his own foolish notion.

Jiang Mo had once told Xu Ta that Lull couldn’t beat him, and it was true. Up until now, this remained the case.

In the second game, which was initially thought to be an intense tug of war, Jiang Mo’s Zhao Yun chased the enemy Digger throughout the jungle after just eight minutes. This scene reminded Xu Ta of the game they had played when he had just met Jiang Mo. He had knelt down and begged Jiang Mo to spare Lull.

Seeing Lull being sent back to base by Jiang Mo again, Xu Ta couldn’t help but want to snatch the microphone from the commentators and say, “Show some mercy.”

However, during the match, the players wore noise-cancelling headphones, blocking out all other sounds except for their team communication and in-game audio.

The second match wasn’t a prolonged battle like the first; SVP destroyed the enemy’s crystal in just twenty-two minutes.

Commentator Zhang Changfeng said, “Let’s congratulate the SVP team for winning the second match.”

After a short break, the third match immediately began.

PG’s fans were like tightly strung bowstrings, while SVP’s fans, unlike before, were calmer and quieter.

Jiang Mo had a deep champion pool, but there were only five ban slots. Giving one to Xie Ning and one to Tang Zi, that still left Jiang Mo with three slots, allowing him to pick a highly skilled champion.

The PG coach was having a headache. In the end, he banned Jiang Mo’s Aphelios and Lee Sin. These two champions were absolutely not to be given to Wish. In the last slot, he hesitated but eventually banned the Xin Zhao that had made Lull miserable in the previous match.

As a result, Jiang Mo picked his very first pentakill champion in the league, Lucian.

The PG coach had Lull pick Amumu as the jungler.

Amumu had two crowd control skills, one was his Q, and the other was his ultimate, which was a large area stun effect. If Lull couldn’t beat Wish, he would rely on team fights.

Knowing that Jiang Mo would be playing in the third match, Lull started to feel a headache. He had faced Jiang Mo countless times in ranked games and never tasted victory in Jiang Mo’s hands.

Jiang Mo understood him better than he did himself. It was as if Jiang Mo had a worm inside him, familiar with his jungle routines, where he would be, and what to do when the rhythm collapsed or when he had an advantage. Jiang Mo could control him wherever he went; it was uncanny!

When facing other opponents, he had confidence, but when it came to Jiang Mo, he felt fear in his heart.

No matter what, he was an elder in the scene. How could he be pushed around like this by a newcomer?

In this match, Lucian stormed into the PG team’s jungle without any hesitation. In the middle lane, Tao Zi chose Yasuo, an assassin champion with lightning-fast support.

Lull’s jungle was invaded, and his own mid laner, Annie, was waddling over with her short legs. By the time the mid laner leisurely arrived, Lull had already been killed by Yasuo and Lucian in the jungle.

Lull’s pace affected his own mid lane. Once Yasuo reached level six, he started following Lucian around to catch people. SVP seemed to be playing for the early game advantage, not giving their opponents a chance to breathe.

After clearing the jungle, they ran to the bottom lane, then back to the jungle after returning home, and finally rotated to the top lane.

As the three lanes crumbled one after another, Amumu charged into the crowd and unleashed a massive ultimate, locking down the enemy top laner, mid laner, and support. The invisible effect on the male blade’s ultimate allowed him to unleash it immediately after the stun, and he, along with the AD carry, eliminated PG’s AD carry. However, he died in the hands of PG’s mid laner.

The male gun champion emerged from the bushes after the enemy had used their abilities, confidently dodging Annie’s stun ultimate. With his high damage output, he followed up with his own ultimate, not needing to switch bullets, resulting in a team wipe for PG.

— Quadra kill (four kills) —

The male gun secured a quadra kill.C

ommentator Xiao Yang: “Wish’s male gun is truly terrifying, delivering outstanding performances every time he steps onto the stage…”

Before Xiao Yang could finish his sentence, the enemy crystal was destroyed.

Excited commentator Zhang Changfeng added: “Let’s congratulate the SVP team on winning the championship of this year’s summer split!”

With the commentator’s words, a shower of golden ribbons fell from the sky.

Jiang Mo calmly removed his headphones, exchanged embraces with the coach, manager, and Xia Zeyu, who had already rushed onto the stage. He walked to the center of the stage with his teammates. The applause from the audience continued without pause. As he touched the icy trophy, it felt as if he had been scalded. His hand instinctively trembled.

His eyes gradually filled with tears. He lowered his head to wipe them away and then raised his head. Through the falling golden ribbons, he locked eyes with the audience below, especially with Chi Yu, who was looking up at him.

Chi Yu smiled at him, and, along with the audience, applauded him.

Without saying a word, he heard Chi Yu saying to him

—I’ve always been watching you.

The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 67

After Jiang Mo left the entertainment circle, there was no activity on Weibo for several months. It seemed that with his exit, he had truly disappeared from the public eye.

The remaining fans of Jiang Mo would leave comments under Jiang Mo’s previous posts every day, pushing all the negative comments down.

However, no matter how much they called out, the person they liked didn’t seem to intend to come back.

Now, the only place they could see Jiang Mo’s latest updates was on Chi Yu’s profile. However, Chi Yu wasn’t someone who liked to post on Weibo.

They heard that Chi Yu had cheated, and with anger, they stormed into the blogger’s Weibo who exposed the news.

The blogger said he was a gaming enthusiast and got lost, ending up in the backstage area of a match where he accidentally saw Chi Yu and a prominent newcomer jungle player embracing each other.

In the photos he shared, Chi Yu was standing by the window, wearing SVP team’s jacket. The prominent ‘Wish’ on the back hit Jiang Mo’s fans hard. Looking closer, the other person was shorter than Chi Yu, with a slender figure. Chi Yu had them in his embrace, the jacket covering almost their entire body, revealing only their shoulder and head, making it seem like a white furry head had sprouted from Chi Yu’s embrace.

[“I’m really angry, @Chi Yu. Is this how you treat Jiang Mo? I thought you genuinely cared for him. Now, thinking about it, there’s no sincerity in the entertainment industry; it’s all acting!”]

[“Ah, this is so upsetting! How could you be like this too? I’ve watched the video of you chasing Jiang Mo in the cabin countless times. How can I face those heartwarming scenes now? If you didn’t like him that much, why did you chase Jiang Mo in the first place!”]

[“Scumbag!”]

[“@Chi Yu, tell us it’s not true, please!”]

[“Wait a minute, sisters, you’re too quick to judge. Zoom in on the photo. Don’t you think this pose looks familiar? A bystander encountered Jiang Mo and Chi Yu before and secretly took a photo. Back then, Chi Yu was holding Jiang Mo just like this.”]

[“Chi Yu isn’t monogamous in love, so embracing definitely isn’t exclusive.”]

[“I’ll admit it first, I’m a fan of Mo Mo, and I’m also a fan of Wish. Since the official announcement of Wish’s photos, I found him very familiar. Although Wish is taller than Mo Mo and thinner than him, don’t you think Wish and Mo Mo look very similar? I even suspect that Mo Mo has a twin brother!”]

[“Is there a possibility that Wish is Jiang Mo?”]

[“Impossible, right? Wish is so good at playing games. You’ve seen Jiang Mo play games. How could he be the ruthless killer Wish!”]

On the way back, because of Jiang Mo’s pentakill, Da Tian excitedly scrolled through Weibo, seeing others praising Jiang Mo. He had a sense of accomplishment; this was truly a treasure. It’s all thanks to Boss Chi’s keen eye.

Da Tian happily shared the screenshot of the pentakill in the manager group, receiving a bunch of sarcastic looks, especially from the RAG manager. Today, they were the losing side, and Da Tian was flaunting it. He must be intentionally trying to infuriate them.

Da Tian didn’t stay happy for long. Someone in the group posted a screenshot and tagged him, asking what was going on.

Da Tian’s heart skipped a beat, and when he saw the screenshot, his heart sank again.

Boss Chi cheating with Wish? Are you kidding in here?

“Boss, Jiang Mo, take a look at Weibo.”

Chi Yu and Jiang Mo were sitting in the back row. Normally, no one dared to approach this spot or even turn around.

Hearing Da Tian’s voice, Jiang Mo, in panic, lifted his head from Chi Yu’s embrace, cheeks flushed, with a noticeable bite mark next to his dimple.

“Ah?”

When Jiang Mo saw this term, his mouth twitched involuntarily.

Chi Yu cheating with Wish? Isn’t Wish him?!

“What, what should we do?” This trouble was actually easily solved; all they needed to do was publicly admit that Wish was Jiang Mo. Jiang Mo, however, instinctively sought help from Chi Yu beside him.

Chi Yu’s thumb wiped at the spot near Jiang Mo’s dimple as if trying to erase the almost fading bite mark.

“Since it’s been exposed, let’s make it public,” Chi Yu was in a very good mood. “Don’t be afraid, Jiang Mo did nothing wrong.”

Jiang Mo held onto Chi Yu’s sleeve tightly, his eyelashes blinking slowly. Chi Yu knew the fear hidden in his heart and understood the reasons why he didn’t want to reveal his identity.

Chi Yu was right—there was nothing to be afraid of. The current Jiang Mo hadn’t done anything wrong.

Less than half an hour after the cheating news was exposed, Jiang Mo publicly clarified this rumor.

On the day Jiang Mo made the official announcement, Manager Da Tian had specially asked him to register a new Weibo account named “Wish.” The followers on this account quickly reached almost a million. Under the latest Weibo post, there were thousands of new comments, all asking Wish for an explanation.

The keyboard warriors had already sprung into action, not bothering to ask and directly venting their anger, accusing Wish of being shameless. No wonder he could parachute into a team; turns out, he had attached himself to the SVP boss.

[@SVP·Wish: I am Jiang Mo. I kept this a secret because I didn’t want my emotions to be affected and wanted to quietly play games. There was no cheating. I am fine with @Chi Yu, and we will continue to be fine. [Images][Images]]

The earlier words were taught to Jiang Mo by Chi Yu. He didn’t explain in too much detail. Smart netizens could naturally deduce the reason Jiang Mo had kept this hidden, fearing a repetition of the past when he was heavily criticized across the internet.

When Jiang Mo said this, it only attracted more people’s sympathy.

Jiang Mo felt a bit embarrassed while editing the text. There were no sensational words or overly affectionate expressions like “I love you.” But this was the first time he publicly announced to everyone that he and Chi Yu would be together forever.

He had actually done something so bold.

Da Tian sent Jiang Mo a screenshot. It was the form submitted to the league during registration. Da Tian had cropped out important information, only leaving Jiang Mo’s photo and name. This was enough evidence to prove that Jiang Mo was Wish.

Another photo was taken hastily, Jiang Mo had removed his mask. The white-haired youth sat on the inner side, leaning his shoulder against the handsome man beside him.

The car’s lights were off, and through the light coming in from outside, you could see both of them smiling lightly. Jiang Mo was looking at the camera, while Chi Yu was looking at Jiang Mo.

Jiang Mo had lost a lot of weight compared to the last time in the cabin. This weight loss wasn’t the skeletal thin kind, but a well-proportioned slimness. His facial features were more refined, with high eyebrows and nose. There were no dark circles under his eyelids, and his eyes had a crescent moon shape. His fair complexion had a rosy hue. There was a slight dip beside his mouth, and around the dimple, there was a circle of bite marks. It was clear he looked very happy.

[“What? Did I read it wrong? Jiang Mo is Wish?!”]

[“Oh my god, how could Wish, who dominated the field in matches, be Chi Yu’s little kitty?!”]

[“Ah, my precious Jiang, how did you become so handsome? Why did you dye your hair white? I can hardly call you “wife” anymore, I’ll just call you “husband” directly!”]

[“Oh god, my dear, is the more important thing you mentioned about going pro and winning championships? Oh my, the two people I like are actually the same person!”]

[“@Chi Yu, we scolded too early! Sorry, we made a mistake in our excitement. Please forgive us! Please take good care of Mo Mo, okay? QAQ”]

[“@Chi Yu, why were you so quiet recently? It turns out you were playing games with your wife. I’ll be behind you supporting you while you go pro. This is true love!”]

[“Seeing the phrase “Chi Yu cheating with Wish” now, it’s quite funny no matter how you look at it. Jiang Mo: I got trolled by myself.”]

[“Haha, so it was a misunderstanding! My tears instantly went back. I must look like an idiot laughing in front of the screen. My CP is so sweet for a hundred years!”]

[“@Chi Yu, are you really going this far? You’re still in the car, and you’re biting Mo Mo’s face!”]

[“The child is bitten and still smiles so foolishly, it makes me so worried!”]

[“Wait, has no one noticed a crucial point? Jiang Mo is Wish! I used to call him my “husband” before. [Facepalm.jpg]”]

[“Dmn, my husband has become someone else’s wife!”]

Tonight was supposed to be the day of the match between SVP and RAG, but the focus wasn’t on who would win or lose. Even after Wish achieved a pentakill, it didn’t spark much discussion. Jiang Mo had intentionally downplayed his own popularity.

Back at the base, Jiang Mo received warm greetings from players of various teams. Most of the messages sent to him were “…” or expressions of shock. Even the usually composed Gao Ze sent him a message.

[Gao Ze: My cousin heard that you’re Jiang Mo. She asked me to get an autograph from you. Considering how you crushed us today, could you please sign it?]

[MOMO: …]

Regardless of the lively discussions online, once back at the base, Jiang Mo and the others returned to their focused training.

The SVP team had known about the inside story in advance, so there wasn’t much shock. The most important thing now was training, the match, and winning the championship.

During the match, most players were in a serious gaming mode. SVP had already won one match, and their next opponent was the UN team. If they won, they would directly advance to the finals.

Unlike usual, Chi Yu was quietly sitting in the first-floor living room. He was in a very good mood tonight, and usually, he only smiled in front of Jiang Mo. At this moment, joy filled his every feature.

Chi Yu knew all of Jiang Mo’s account passwords. While Jiang Mo was training upstairs, Chi Yu logged into Jiang Mo’s streaming account on his phone, researched a bit, and opened Wish’s streaming room.

Due to Jiang Mo’s public clarification, his fans quickly rushed to Wish’s Weibo and streaming room, following and paying attention. In just a while, Jiang Mo’s Weibo gained over a million new followers, and the streaming room’s follower count was approaching two million.

Chi Yu started his stream, and the fans still in Wish’s streaming room were surprised when the stream suddenly began.

No prior notice, and yet it started?

Looking at the face suddenly appearing on the screen, even though it was facing the camera, this face had no unflattering angles. The stunning beauty and the delightful visuals once again amazed the audience in the streaming room.

[“WTF, is that Chi Yu?!”]

[“This is Wish’s streaming room, right? Why is Chi Yu’s face showing up?”]

[“Of course, Chi Yu is the team owner. Naturally, he would be with Jiang Mo!”]

[“Exactly, he’s abusing his position for personal gain. Why would the team owner live at the team base if not for Jiang Mo?”]

Seeing the continuously scrolling comments, Chi Yu’s lips curled, and he openly admitted, “Yes, without Mo Mo around, I don’t want to stay here for a moment.”

[“…”]

[“Woof woof woof, dog food tastes really good!”]

[“Ah ah ah, I wish you both happiness, please stay together!”]

[“Where’s Mo Mo? Can he make an appearance? Why is it you doing the stream?”]

“Mo Mo is training. Don’t you all want to disturb him, do you? Is it bad for me to stream?” Chi Yu raised an eyebrow. “Mo Mo has given me all his game and bank account passwords. He said I can do whatever I want. This is my privilege.”

[“…”]

[“Oh my god, I’ve noticed Mo Mo’s naivety since forever. This silly child, why hasn’t he gotten married? He’s handed over everything. Mom’s heart aches!”]

[“Chi Yu, you should treat our Mo Mo well.”]

Chi Yu: “Mo Mo can’t come back for now. Will you keep me company and play with me? Today’s a good day. I’ll show you around SVP’s base.”

The audience in the livestream came to see Jiang Mo, and since he wasn’t there, watching Jiang Mo’s boyfriend wasn’t a bad option.

When Chi Yu’s message about the livestream spread, many of his fans flooded into the livestream.

Chi Yu’s fans just found out today that their idol was the owner of the SVP team, and he had reduced his work to be with Jiang Mo.

They weren’t sad that Chi Yu’s productivity decreased because of love; after all, Chi Yu had been very dedicated for so many years. Finally having a relationship, it was time for him to rest.

Carrying his phone, Chi Yu walked from the first floor to the third floor, showcasing almost every room to the viewers except the training room and the players’ bedrooms.

Many people hadn’t seen what a team base looked like, so this was an eye-opener for them, and they praised Chi Yu.

SVP might not be a top-tier team, but they provided a good environment for their players. They not only had a gym but also a counseling room. Each player had a single room, and even the second team members had decent-sized double rooms. This dual attention from physical to mental well-being meant that players didn’t need to worry about anything other than the game. What team had such a good owner?

Chi Yu slowly ascended to the third floor and opened the door to the bedroom he shared with Jiang Mo, smiling at the screen. “This is mine and Mo Mo’s room.”

The viewers in the livestream felt like they were hearing things. They weren’t sure if it was an illusion, but when Chi Yu said this sentence, he particularly emphasized the “mine and Mo Mo” part.

[“Have they already moved in together?”]

[“Have you ever considered how the other team members feel? We’re working so hard over there in training, and you’re openly in love!”]

[“No choice, the whole team belongs to him. He does whatever he wants. Who can say anything to him?”]

[“Are all those rooms in your base just for show? Why are you living with Mo Mo? Doesn’t it affect his rest?”]

“Doesn’t affect it,” Chi Yu smiled, “because Mo Mo personally asked me to stay with him.”

Da Tian, who watched the entire livestream, fearing Chi Yu might play tricks: “…”

What a load of crap! Clearly, you deceived Jiang Mo. There were no spare rooms in the team base!

Da Tian’s expression changed as if he had swallowed something extremely unpleasant.

Initially, he was the one who said those words. He was the one who told Jiang Mo that the other rooms were infested with mice, making Jiang Mo let Chi Yu stay in his room.

Drn it.

Chi Yu walked slowly into the room, placing his phone on the big bed. A Bob the Minion plush toy lay on the yellow bed, and beside it was a Kevin plush toy.

[“I’m reminded of the scene when they watched a movie on the train. Oh, it’s only been a few months, but I’m already starting to miss those times.”]

[“Bob is still so adorable!”]

[“Kevin is also very cute, isn’t he!”]

Chi Yu adjusted the Bob plush toy and said, “I bought this for Mo Mo.”

He then touched Kevin’s head and smiled, saying, “As a return gift, this is what he gave me. Does this count as a token of our love?”

[“……”]

[“…………”]

“No, wait,” Chi Yu thought of something. The camera suddenly turned to a corner where a clothes rack was. He said, “That’s the first gift Mo Mo bought for me.”

The audience saw the rack filled with clothes, with a baseball jacket at the front. Chi Yu approached and took out another identical but slightly smaller-sized baseball jacket, placing it next to the first one for comparison.

He didn’t say anything, but his actions spoke volumes.

[“I know what this person is here for! He’s intentionally torturing us dog-lovers!”]

[“@Chi Yu, maybe you should stay quiet. For the first time, I feel like it’s the right choice not to see you during break time.”]

[“I remember you used to be a very low-profile person. You never flaunted your affection!”]

[“That’s because he has never been in a relationship!”]

“At that time, I suggested going to buy clothes. When it came to paying, Mo Mo wanted to split the bill with me. You haven’t seen how he pushed me aside to pay with his phone; it was so cute. He said he wanted to spend all the money he earned on me, and he even wanted to buy a big house for us to live in…”

[“……”]

[“Of course, we can’t see that. We’re not his boyfriends, able to be by his side anytime, anywhere.”]

[“Alright, enough showing off! We get it, you have a wife now!”]

[“QAQ This is too much, it’s the middle of the night and I can’t handle this”]

[“You, a multi-millionaire movie star, being stingy with a poor guy for money, don’t you feel embarrassed?”]

“I’m eight years older than him. I told him that in the future, when I may not have the strength to take care of him, he said he’ll take care of me, he’ll lead me in the future…”

“Chi Yu!” Jiang Mo finished a training match, swapped positions with Xia Zeyu, and originally wanted to get some water. Passing by Manager Da Tian, he saw Chi Yu’s face flash across Da Tian’s phone screen.

He snatched Da Tian’s earphones and listened to Chi Yu talking about their relationship in the live broadcast room. His entire face turned red from embarrassment.

Seeing Manager Da Tian also blushing and struggling to speak, he immediately rushed out of the training room and ran upstairs in a few steps.

“What, what are you doing?” Jiang Mo was embarrassed and angry, snatching Chi Yu’s phone, wanting to close the live broadcast. He was so flustered that he couldn’t find the close button.

Chi Yu, afraid Jiang Mo might trip, smiled and hugged his waist. “It’s a live broadcast, didn’t you know?”

Jiang Mo stammered, “H-How could you…” All these childish things he said in the live broadcast, he can’t face anyone now!

He would only say these things when he was emotional.

Listening to Chi Yu repeating these words word for word, it was truly too embarrassing!!!

Chi Yu leaned against Jiang Mo’s back and lowered his head to kiss Jiang Mo’s heated cheek. “I’m sorry.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

“Mo Mo, forgive me.” Chi Yu held Jiang Mo and shook him gently, sounding very pitiful.

Jiang Mo: “J-Just forgive you this time. Don’t do this again next time…”

“Okay.”

[“… Darling, can you not be so easy to coax? I’m getting anxious!”]

[“I’ve seen it from the beginning, being with that old dog Chi, he’s definitely spoiled!”]

[“Ahh, my son is so disappointing [clutches heart]”]

[“Old dog Chi, be good to Mo Mo, got it? [cleaver]”]

[“Another sleepless night tonight, sob, sob, my wife, my husband, they’re both Chi’s, hahaha, who’s crazy, am I crazy!”]

The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 66

After SVP won against FG, even if the second-place PG team could win two matches, SVP still firmly held the first position in the playoffs.

The long regular season finally came to an end, and after a few days of rest, the playoffs were about to begin. The schedule was released on the same night as the end of the regular season matches.

As the first-place team, SVP, without surprise, advanced to the semifinals, scheduled for the last few days.

The summer playoffs lasted for a month in total. The first few days featured matches for the teams at the bottom, following a BO5 formatthree wins, two losses. The team at the very end, if they lost a match, had no chance for a comeback.

SVP’s match was on August 20th, playing against the winner of the previous round. If SVP could continue winning, they only needed to play two BO5 matches to advance to the grand finals. If they lost one match, they would have to go through the loser’s bracket and climb up again.

Two days after the regular season ended, the playoffs began. Even though SVP’s match was a week later, nobody in the team dared to slack off; they intensified their training every day. Xia Zeyu’s issue was pointed out, and after a heart-to-heart conversation with Coach A’kang, Tao Zi made up his mind. Jiang Mo no longer had the ease he had during the regular season; he trained harder with the other players. It was often Xia Zeyu and him rotating into training matches.

To the outside world, Xia Zeyu was the main player, and Wish was just a substitute.

For everyone in SVP, both Xia Zeyu and Jiang Mo were the most important key players in the team.

Chi Yu amicably parted ways with his former company, and someone was looking after his studio. He agreed to take a break for the latter half of the year, truly taking on a hands-off role.

Before meeting Jiang Mo, during the time he didn’t have work, Chi Yu’s routine was like this: he would cancel all gatherings with friends, read books, pet the cat, or sleep. It seemed very boring, but it was what he enjoyed. He liked extreme quietness, and the base was located in the suburbs, which were quiet during the day, fitting his idea of a vacation.

After Jiang Mo finished training, his greatest pleasure was to hug the Jiang Mo plush pillow and take a good nap.

After supervising Jiang Mo finishing lunch, Chi Yu took a walk in the garden corridor outside the base. When he returned, he saw that his phone, left in the room, had received seven or eight missed calls.

Chi Yu frowned and returned the call to his friend, Gu Rui.

“Haven’t I told you not to disturb me during this time?” Chi Yu said.

“It’s not that,” sighed Gu Rui on the other end of the phone. “Your assistant didn’t dare to offend you, so she sadly contacted me. What can I do? The kid is too pitiful.”

“What’s the matter?” Chi Yu asked.

Gu Rui replied, “Someone caught you having an affair with your team’s jungler. They’re asking if you’re willing to buy the negatives from them.”

Chi Yu: “…”

Gu Rui knew that Chi Yu was the owner of the SVP team. He occasionally played games with Chi Yu and watched the matches when he was bored.

He also knew about the recently popular Wish player. He never expected that Wish would be involved with Chi Yu.

Upon hearing this news from Dashuang, Gu Rui spat out the wine he was drinking from his blind date, and the other person slapped him hard. His face still hurt.

Chi Yu chuckled, “How much is he asking for?”

“Eight million,” Gu Rui said.

Chi Yu: “Tell him to get lost.”

Gu Rui was dumbfounded, “You really don’t intend to deal with this? If it gets exposed, do you know how much it will affect your career?”

Chi Yu knew the reason why Jiang Mo didn’t want to reveal his identity, and he respected Jiang Mo’s choice.

He didn’t try to persuade Jiang Mo, saying things like “No one will curse you online anymore.”

Now they all cherish you…

He felt that even if he said it, Jiang Mo probably wouldn’t believe him. So, there was no need to explain. Besides, who knew if some fence-sitters might turn against Jiang Mo.

He selfishly wanted to possess Jiang Mo, and only he knew about this treasure.

Everyone knew that Jiang Mo was won over by Chi Yu, solely Chi Yu’s.

However, they didn’t know that Wish was also Chi Yu’s.

If the gossip media wanted to expose something, go ahead, it would help him solve a problem.

He wasn’t the one revealing Jiang Mo’s identity.

Let everyone know that Wish belonged to him, and see who still dared to mention marrying Wish.

The little cat agilely jumped onto the sofa where Chi Yu was sitting. It softly meowed and nuzzled its head into Chi Yu’s hand.

Chi Yu’s eyes were full of tenderness. He petted the white fur of the cat’s head, as if trying to recall the softness of the ‘little white cat’ downstairs through this touch.

Chi Yu: “What impact could it have? If the other party doesn’t expose this, it only affects my feelings.”

Gu Rui couldn’t help but be astonished. He had always thought Chi Yu was an upright person.

Knowing that Chi Yu did such crazy things for Jiang Mo, pursuing when told to pursue, quitting shows when told to quit, he went from shock to calm in less than ten minutes. He understood Chi Yu, that he would indeed do such things.

But, how long has it been? He hasn’t been dating Jiang Mo for even three months, right? And he’s already changing partners so quickly?

When did Chi Yu become like this?

“Did you break up with Jiang Mo?” Gu Rui worriedly asked.

Chi Yu frowned, “Why would I break up with him when we’re doing well?”

Gu Rui: “…” How could Chi Yu say such a cruel thing with a straightforward tone?

Having a boyfriend and cheating? What a scoundrel!

Gu Rui reminded in a hushed tone, “Although Jiang Mo has withdrawn from the circle, before he left, he really played with his fans. He had millions of die-hard fans. Let me tell you, this is not a small number; these are genuine die-hard fans! Every day, people leave nostalgic comments under his Weibo posts…”

Chi Yu sneered, “People reminisce only after someone’s gone. What’s the use?”

Gu Rui said, “…You’re being too much. Your choice of words…”

Jiang Mo wasn’t dead, so this statement sounded strange.

Gu Rui continued, “Do you really like that jungler? Geez, as your childhood friend, I truly feel sorry for you. When did you become like this, a fickle-hearted man! Do you know how pitiful Jiang Mo is? His adoptive parents were never kind to him since he was little, exploiting him. Even on the show, he was bullied by those people. I thought you would wholeheartedly support him, but I was wrong. From now on, I don’t want you to be my best brother…”

Chi Yu said, “I forgot to tell you something.”

Gu Rui was still feeling indignant on behalf of Jiang Mo at the other end of the phone. His tone became heavier, “What?”

Chi Yu stated, “Wish is Jiang Mo.”

Gu Rui: “…”

In the semifinals, a total of four teams vied for a spot in the finals. In previous years, the semifinal spots shuffled between teams like OS, PG, RAG, UN, CAG, and FG. Since the entry of SVP last year, the competition for semifinal spots intensified this year.

SVP and PG teams had already secured two spots, leaving RAG and UN teams in fierce competition for the remaining spots after a heated contest.

Yesterday, the second-place PG team faced off against the UN team.

Previously, whenever the UN team encountered the PG team, they always ended up in defeat. This time, a miracle happened. The two teams played a full BO5, and UN, with a hard-fought 3:2 victory, advanced to the next stage.

Today, SVP was about to face their old rival, the RAG team.

SVP and RAG had a special connection, often meeting as opponents in important matches, be it the opening match or the semifinals.

Just as the SVP team arrived at their resting room, Xu Ta came in with a gloomy face.”Do you know? The previous losses to you were just a prelude.”

“And then?” Xie Ning rolled his eyes.

Xu Ta: “So, this time, we will definitely win. A victory often requires countless sacrifices.”

“Got it!” Li Yuan pushed Xu Ta out and handed him a packet of candy before closing the door. “This is a gift for you all. When you feel like crying later, just suck on the candy. If you eat the candy, you won’t cry.”

“You…” Xu Ta’s voice was blocked outside the door.

Coach A’kang clapped his hands and said to the people eating in the resting room, “Although we’ve taken quite a few points from RAG, they won’t go into battle unprepared. Don’t underestimate them later, especially Tao Zi.”

Tao Zi, halfway through sucking his noodles, had them bitten off. He stared blankly at the coach and nervously said, “I understand, I won’t chicken out.”

In this round, Coach A’kang still had Xia Zeyu try the waters first.

During the ban-pick phase, Xia Zeyu’s Foyego appeared on the ban list for RAG. The director intentionally focused the camera on Xia Zeyu, and the audience and the live broadcast room erupted in exclamations.

This was the first time since the S tournament that Xia Zeyu’s hero had been banned, indicating fear and acknowledgment from the opponents.

[“Wow, long time no see! Xia Zeyu is finally being taken seriously.”]

[“Wuwuwu, our Xiao Yu has finally risen. It’s really not easy.”]

[“Hehe, what’s the use of rising now? In the next season, Wish will replace Xia Zeyu as the starting player!”]

[“Being replaced only means Xiao Yu isn’t as skilled. We admit it, but please don’t provoke. Wish and Xiao Yu are both good. Without Wish, there wouldn’t be the current Xia Zeyu. Wish is Xiao Yu’s master and also our master.”]

[“That’s right!”]

Xia Zeyu emphasized multiple times during the live broadcast that Jiang Mo was very kind to him and taught him a lot. Xia Zeyu’s fans were grateful to Jiang Mo, and this gratitude extended to becoming fans of Wish.

As Coach A’kang emphasized before the match, SVP was changing, and RAG was changing too. In response to SVP’s changed tactics, RAG had long prepared countermeasures.

Tao Zi’s fear had always been facing Gao Ze. In previous matchups, Tao Zi played defensively, rarely securing kills in the mid lane. Sometimes, this situation troubled Gao Ze too. If he went to gank, Tao Zi would quickly push the lane, forcing Gao Ze to return to defend the turret. When he returned, Tao Zi would freeze the minion wave, refusing to engage in a fight.

This time, RAG’s main target wasn’t top laner Xie Ning or AD Carry Tang Zi; it was the unexpectedly timid Tao Zi.

Xu Ta and Gao Ze collaborated in two waves. The first time, they only forced Tao Zi’s Flash. The second time, with Tao Zi having no Flash, they took down Tao Zi under the tower, pushed the mid lane, and then Gao Ze’s Lissandra, along with Xu Ta’s Lee Sin, secured a double kill in the bot lane.

“This game is not going well,” Jiang Mo said in the resting room, and Coach A’kang nodded in agreement.

Tao Zi was the LPL’s top surviving player, and it took a lot of patience to lane against him. You had to endure a long and boring laning phase. Often, you couldn’t wait for that moment and would be eager to kill Tao Zi, only to be killed by him.

Gao Ze became impatient this time and coordinated with Xu Ta to go after Tao Zi.

The synergy between Lissandra and Lee Sin was excellent. Lissandra offered control, while Lee Sin’s ultimate could kick Tao Zi out of the turret’s range. Tao Zi excelled at turret diving, and one-on-one fights under the turret wouldn’t allow him to shine.

The mid lane went down first, and originally, Tao Zi was a player with limited impact in the early game. Collapsing the mid lane didn’t have a significant effect on the team, but losing the mid turret had a more significant impact. With SVP’s mid lane turret down, Gao Ze was freed up.

Tao Zi could continue with his usual strategy of clearing waves in the mid lane, but the distance from the second turret to the opposite first turret had increased, giving Gao Ze and Xu Ta enough time to clear Tao Zi’s waves after ganking.

Due to the continuous harassment from Gao Ze and Xu Ta, the bot lane duo, Tang Zi and Li Yuan, couldn’t farm effectively. In this match, only top laner Xie Ning held his ground, but RAG’s Best was also a seasoned veteran with impressive skills. During team fights, Best focused on restraining Xie Ning, making it impossible for Xie Ning to dive into the backline. As a result, this game was lost without any surprises.

“It’s my fault. We lost in the draft.” After the players left the stage, Coach A’kang didn’t wait for Tao Zi to speak and admitted his mistake first.

“Coach, it’s not your fault; it’s mine…”

Tao Zi hadn’t finished his apology when he was interrupted by Jiang Mo again, “Coach, let me play in the next round.”

Everyone looked at Jiang Mo. He looked at Tao Zi expressionlessly and calmly said, “I’d like to evaluate Tao Zi’s training progress.”

Tao Zi: “…”

Xia Zeyu sympathetically patted Tao Zi’s shoulder and said with heartfelt emphasis, “Brother, I’m giving my position to you.”

Tao Zi: “…”

In the second game, when the audience in the live broadcast room heard the announcement about SVP personnel changes, they were puzzled.

[“What? Did I hear it wrong? Wasn’t the last game Xia Zeyu’s fault? Why not switch the mid laner and keep the jungler?”]

[“Ah, but seeing Wish makes me happy, so it doesn’t matter if it’s not a mid lane switch.”]

[“For a scaredy-cat like Tao Zi, it’s better to bring Xiao Xi. At least Xiao Xi dares to be aggressive. I don’t want to see the mid lane farming for ten minutes and doing nothing.”]

Before Jiang Mo went on stage, he deliberately waited until all his teammates had left, then hugged Chi Yu gently. He whispered in Chi Yu’s ear, “You, you have to keep watching me.”

Chi Yu chuckled softly, “Okay, I will keep watching you.”

Jiang Mo would say this to Chi Yu every time before going on stage, as if it was his obsession. He desperately needed Chi Yu’s attention.

He wanted the person he liked to know that he also had his strengths, that he was worthy of Chi Yu’s sincere affection.

In the ban-pick phase, RAG consecutively banned Jiang Mo’s Foyego and Lee Sin, restricting the two jungle picks. The entire audience was in an uproar.

[“666, it seems like RAG was scared after the Wish vs. FG match. These two quad-kill champions are indeed intimidating.”]

[“So what will Wish play then? I remember his Lucian is also pretty strong. Will he pick it?”]

[“Elise is also fine, he plays EliseSpider very well too.”]

In this BP phase, SVP had the first pick, and Coach A’kang first picked champions for the bot lane and the top lane, leaving two positions to be chosen.

When it was RAG’s turn to pick champions, following the same routine as the previous round, Gao Ze once again chose Lissandra, and Lee Sin was banned. Xu Ta chose Hecarim, a highly mobile champion, to complement Lissandra, forming a strong combination.

Picking Lissandra before the opponent’s mid laner selection was a confident choice. There are many champions that counter Lissandra, but Gao Ze wasn’t afraid that Tao Zi would choose champions like Kassadin, Azir, or Cassiopeia that counter Lissandra.

For the last two picks for SVP, there was no hesitation, and they quickly locked in their choices.

Jiang Mo chose Olaf for the jungle, surprising everyone. What was even more surprising was that Tao Zi picked Zed for the mid lane.

They had never seen Tao Zi play an assassin champion in the competitive arena, and he picked Zed right off the bat? Wasn’t this a joke?

Tao Zi made light of the situation and asked Jiang Mo through his headset, “Master, will I not be able to return to SVP tonight? Will everyone scold me to death?”

Jiang Mo: “If you play well, you won’t be scolded. If you want to be scolded to death, just cower under the tower.”

Tao Zi: “…”

Xie Ning, Tang Zi, and Li Yuan suppressed their laughter. Fortunately, the three of them performed well and didn’t need Jiang Mo’s guidance.

Their consolation to their teammate was merciless teasing.

The director was quick-witted, focusing the camera on the mid lane matchup for this game. Following Jiang Mo’s advice, Tao Zi didn’t dare to cower under the tower. However, he also didn’t dare to get too close to Lissandra. Lissandra had control skills that could freeze nearby enemy champions. If Tao Zi went in, he would be targeted by Lissandra’s skills.

Both Lissandra and Zed had mobility skills for escape or engage. Without their ultimates, the two didn’t deal significant damage to each other. Even if Hecarim attempted to gank, Zed could use his skills to escape, making this game more flexible than the previous one.

Originally, they thought Tao Zi picked this champion just for show. However, Zed hit level 6 and immediately jumped on Lissandra. Using his ultimate to dodge Lissandra’s control skills, he managed to dodge Lissandra’s freeze while dealing damage. Lissandra tried to self-freeze in place during this process, becoming immune to damage for 2.5 seconds.

Lissandra tried to dodge Zed’s ultimate, little did she expect that, while she stood still, an Olaf jungler charged out from the river bush. They faced each other, waiting for Lissandra’s ultimate effect to wear off, then both used their skills to attack Lissandra.

Lissandra used her E skill to retreat under the turret. Olaf, known as a berserker, activated his ultimate which granted him immunity to any crowd control skills for 3 seconds and increased movement speed. Landing basic attacks or E skill on enemy champions extended the duration of his ultimate.

Olaf activated his ultimate and chased after Lissandra. After a few axe strikes, Lissandra’s life was claimed by Olaf.

Hecarim arrived a bit late and tried to engage Olaf. Olaf still had the effects of his ultimate and retreated furiously. Accompanied by Zed, Hecarim couldn’t push forward.

The rhythm of Gao Ze and Xu Ta was disrupted. Tao Zi picking Zed wasn’t the most shocking thing to everyone; what astonished them the most was that, after reaching level 6, Tao Zi didn’t stay under the turret but followed Jiang Mo to hunt for kills.

With a berserker Olaf and an assassin Zed, RAG’s AD couldn’t withstand the pursuit of an assassin and a berserk.

A double kill erupted in the bot lane.

This situation was too familiar, perfectly replicating RAG’s rhythm from the last round. They thought Zed was picked to battle Lissandra, but in reality, it was Olaf who was battling Lissandra, and Zed was primarily focused on RAG’s AD in the bot lane.

The coordination between Lissandra and Hecarim couldn’t materialize. Whenever Gao Ze wanted to support, a berserker Olaf would charge out from different bushes. No one could withstand Olaf’s onslaught. He would go crazy, throwing his skills at him when his ultimate was active. Even if Xu Ta wanted to help Gao Ze, he couldn’t, and RAG’s AD was helpless. Zed would focus on killing him and then retreat, denying him any chance to survive.

The RAG support was constrained by Tang Zi and Li Yuan. Either he died in Zed’s hands or in the hands of the opposing bot lane. After Gao Ze’s death, Olaf pounced on Xu Ta like a maniac. There was a significant difference in their equipment. Xu Ta could only use his speed-boosting skill to escape to his base.

“Dmn, is he faster or am I faster? He only has two legs, and I have four!” Xu Ta was infuriated, wanting to pound the table. “This mad dog, so annoying!”

“Tsk, others call him a mad dog, you’re at most a centaur. You’re just one ‘mad’ away from him!” The support interrupted his rage mercilessly.

Xu Ta: “…”

Gao Ze had a headache. Olaf countered him too effectively. He was utterly helpless. He used his ultimate to secure his own safety. This played into Jiang Mo’s intentions perfectly. During the 2.5 seconds when he couldn’t do anything, Jiang Mo could kill his teammates and then turn to beat him up.

As Xu Ta had said –

So annoying!

[“Hahaha, I’m dying of laughter. Why did Hecarim use his skill to escape when he saw Olaf!”]

[“Xu Ta, can you stop being so timid? You’re playing as Hecarim! Four legs can’t outrun two legs?”]

[“Can’t help it, the support not only provides movement speed but also bought movement speed-boosting items, trying to make the opponents die!”]

[“Xu Ta and Gao Ze will dream tonight, dreaming of being chased and hacked by Olaf!”]

[“Haha, that’s not a funny story. Being chased with an axe is pretty scary!”]

In the second match, SVP secured a victory, one win and one loss, they still needed to win two more matches.

In the next two matches, Jiang Mo played in both, the reason being to supervise Tao zi. Under the pressure Jiang Mo exerted, the next two matches were played relatively easily.

In the fourth match, the opposing team secured a comeback by taking the Baron and regaining some advantage. The game was dragged on for several minutes, with the economy almost evening out. The audience was worried that SVP would be pushed back by the opponents. There was another Baron fight. RAG first grouped in the top lane and killed Xie Ning, who was pushing the lane. After Xie Ning died, they immediately moved towards the Baron pit.

The vision around the Baron pit was cleared, and Jiang Mo and others knew that the opponents had started the Baron.

Xie Ning apologized over the headset, “I’m sorry, I was careless.”

No one said anything because, at this moment, even their breathing unconsciously became lighter.

Tang Zi’s Miss Fortune disregarded the danger and stood in the Dragon pit’s bush, using her ultimate to spray into the pit. However, she was exposed to RAG’s vision, and the enemy support Thresh hooked her with a Q, interrupting her ultimate. Gao Ze came over and followed up with damage. Li Yuan wanted to protect Tang Zi but ended up being caught by Gao Ze as well. Tao Zi, who arrived late, was trapped between the two.

Everyone was focused on the brawl on Tang Zi’s side, and few noticed that Jiang Mo had already reached the top of the Dragon pit. Before the Dragon’s health reached the end, he used his ultimate to jump into the pit, targeting Hecarim, who had been half health due to Miss Fortune’s ultimate. With the damage from the Dragon and the male gun’s ultimate, Hecarim was in critical condition. Instinctively, he smited the Dragon to heal, but Jiang Mo’s E skill followed up with a second smite.

SVP secured the Dragon, and instead of escaping with his flash, the male gun engaged in a fight with the AD, who was at half health, inside the Dragon pit. He dodged the control from the top laner, and with two bullets, he killed the AD and then finished off the adjacent top laner. RAG’s support and mid laner returned to support, but they had missed the best timing and helplessly watched the male gun take the top laner’s kill.

Jiang Mo dodged Thresh’s Q with his positioning and swiftly flashed to avoid the mid laner Syndra’s close-range skills.

——Quadra kill.

Syndra fell, and the low-damage Thresh could only watch as he was helplessly slaughtered.

——Penta Kill.

The excited commentator shouted, “Let’s congratulate Wish for achieving the first Penta Kill of this season. This is also Wish’s first Penta Kill, breaking the record for a newcomer achieving their first Penta Kill.”

[“Ah, why is he so handsome!”]

[“The camera angle provided by the director was perfect. That cold, indifferent look just now almost killed me. This is what they mean by ‘killing without mercy’!”]

[“Wuwuwu, why is my husband so outstanding.”]

“This is awesome! He’s so cool!” Xie Ning and the others exclaimed excitedly.

“If it weren’t for Xiao Ying’s sacrificial ultimate just now, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to perform,” Jiang Mo said.

Xie Ning: “Brother, you’re too modest.”

Tang Zi: “I just accidentally dealt some damage.”

“As long as my teammates are alive, there’s hope.” Just before the enemy crystal exploded, Jiang Mo lightly uttered these words, a belated response to Xie Ning. It was also a way of making amends and telling his teammates, “If it weren’t for all of you, I wouldn’t have made it here. Sitting here now, you all are the hope of victory.”

He smiled, and the sudden bright lights above him pierced into his eyes, as if countless stars were falling into the depths of his eyes. Everyone was awestruck.

Chi Yu looked at the screen, equally stunned.

It was precisely because of this that he wanted to have Jiang Mo all to himself.

He knew that his little one was exceptionally outstanding, and someday, the world would focus on him.

A few minutes after the match ended, #WishPentaKill# appeared on the trending topics.

In recent years, more and more people have been paying attention to esports. During tournaments, whenever a popular team achieves good results or showcases spectacular plays, it trends.

Accompanying this trend was another related to Wish: #ChiYuCheatingOnWish#.

TPPMR

The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 65

The regular season is approaching its end in just under two months, with just a few appearances by Jiang Mo in several games.

From initially anticipating Wish’s appearance to the disappointment of not seeing it for a long time, keyboard warriors have come out to question:

[Is Moo really as amazing as you say? He just luckily defeated Park God once, and the fans have blown it out of proportion. In your fans’ mouths, even the SVP empty cup has been claimed by Moo, right?]

[Xia Zeyu has been in great form this summer season. Why bring in a substitute just to watch the water dispenser? I suspect this person probably has some connections.]

[Are you guys okay? SVP has had many consecutive victories, why aren’t you praising that? Even when they’re ranked first, you still criticize? If you can’t find fault, you just pour dirt on Wish, right?]

[No matter what, Xiao Yu is a key player for SVP. If you keep letting Wish play, will you accuse the team of mistreating Xiao Yu, a planned starter, being replaced by a newcomer next to the water dispenser?]

[These people just look for trouble when there’s none, wanting to make others uncomfortable. Ignore them and they’ll fall for it!]

Xia Zeyu started his livestream not long ago, and people entered the stream to provoke him. His face was tired, not in the mood to battle with these people, and he asked the moderators to mute those accounts.

He doesn’t even have the energy to argue with these trolls now.

How could these people possibly understand his pain?

If he could, he really hopes Jiang Mo could play. However, Coach A’kang has no authority in front of Jiang Mo. He always asks for Jiang Mo’s opinion before putting him on the field. If Jiang Mo doesn’t want to play, Coach A’kang really won’t let him play and passes all the responsibility to Xia Zeyu.

Jiang Mo’s view is that as long as they don’t perform terribly in the regular season, out of the fourteen teams, ten can make it to the playoffs. In the previous seasons when Jiang Mo wasn’t around, SVP still achieved good results. This time is no different. The regular season is just practice for Xia Zeyu, testing the results after devilish training.

No one knows how nervous Xia Zeyu gets during matches, not from the pressure of his teammates, nor from the pressure of the audience.

Every time before going on stage, Jiang Mo would look at him with a harmless face and tell him in a soft tone, “You, you must do your best. I’ll be watching you from below, and if there are any mistakes, we’ll go back and correct them slowly.”

Under this gentle pressure, even a pig would make some progress.

In the mix of pain and happiness, Xia Zeyu experienced growth.

Although the process was arduous“Arduous” is an adjective that describes something that requires a lot of effort, hard work, and endurance. It is used to characterize tasks, activities, or situations that are challenging, demanding, strenuous, or difficult to accomplish., and he often appeared disheartened, deep down, he was very grateful to Jiang Mo.

Throughout the regular season with dozens of matches, he rarely had any subpar performances, which satisfied Jiang Mo.

Jiang Mo eased up on his coaching for Xia Zeyu and began focusing on the mid laner, Tao Zi.

Watching Tao Zi’s face crinkle like a bun on the other side, Xia Zeyu tasted joy from his teammates. There’s a saying that holds true: some happiness is built on top of others’ pain.

Jiang Mo would also play mid lane. Of course, he couldn’t compete with top-tier mid laners. Initially, he trained with Tao Zi, taking mid lane champions and solo dueling Tao Zi. Later, he realized that this training method wasn’t effective. After all, he wasn’t a professional mid lane player, and training like this would mislead Tao Zi.

Continuously pondering this matter, Chi Yu quickly noticed that Jiang Mo wasn’t in the right state. He ate less than usual, and Jiang Mo didn’t come to hug him like before.

After a training match ended one day, Chi Yu caught Jiang Mo just as he returned to their room and ‘interrogated’ him properly, prying out Jiang Mo’s recent worries from his mouth.

Chi Yu expressed dissatisfaction with A**’s actions: “You don’t need to worry about these things. You’re a player, not a coach.”

“But,” Jiang Mo shared his thoughts with Chi Yu, “in the future, after retiring, I, I want to stay in your team and become a coach.”

Chi Yu was momentarily stunned, touching Jiang Mo’s cheek. After nearly two months of effort, Jiang Mo’s face had finally gained some flesh, making it much more comfortable to touch.

“Have you made up your mind?” Chi Yu asked.

“Yeah, I, I currently have this idea. However, I’m still young, and I don’t know if I’ll have other thoughts in the future. But, but, starting now will make it easier in the future. I really like every player in the team and also like Coach A’kang and Manager Da Tian,” Jiang Mo added, “Of, of course, I like you the most. This is your team, and I want to make it better. I have less training time than them, so since it’s within my capabilities, I want to contribute as much as I can.”

“I’ve also thought about it. After retiring, I could continue as a game streamer. Being a streamer only requires a computer. When, when you’re filming, I can still be with you. That way, we won’t be apart,” Jiang Mo said, his cheeks blushing like ripe tomatoes.

Adorable clingy person.

Chi Yu chuckled. He wanted to take care of Jiang Mo for a lifetime, always treating him with utmost care. However, his little one was not as fragile as he imagined. Under his protection, he didn’t become arrogant due to favoritism. Instead, he grew his own wings.

Chi Yu held Jiang Mo in his arms and softly said, “Whatever you want to do, I support you.”

“Chi Yu, you’re so good.”

Chi Yu: “You got my title wrong again.”

Jiang Mo stammered, “B-brother, you’re so good.”

“You’re a jungler, it’s normal not to be proficient in mid lane. How about trying to get a professional to guide Tao Zi?” Chi Yu suggested.

Jiang Mo was puzzled, “A professional?”

“Aren’t there many people who want to play games with you? Just invite them to play mid lane, have a solo match. It suits their preference, and they won’t use voice chat anyway, so they won’t know who the opponent is. Then, you let Tao Zi play.”

Chi Yu sneered inwardly. Those people kept bothering Jiang Mo, sending messages to him every day while he was being affectionate with Jiang Mo. Don’t they know it’s very unethical to disturb someone’s tender moments? They’re not even part of their team, so why be so enthusiastic?

It’s just perfect, taking advantage of this time to shift their attention, making them play with Tao Zi. Tao Zi can improve, and he won’t be disturbed while spending time with Jiang Mo. Killing two birds with one stone.

Jiang Mo widened his eyes. There’s a method like this?!

Chi Yu is really smart!

“Brother, you’re, you’re so clever,” Jiang Mo’s eyes sparkled, subconsciously hugging Chi Yu’s arm, his eyes full of admiration.

Chi Yu smiled, “I came up with a solution for you. Is there any reward?”

Jiang Mo’s face heated up, he lifted his head and lightly touched Chi Yu’s lips. Unlike the previous times, the kiss wasn’t tinged with shyness. Jiang Mo knew a simple kiss wouldn’t satisfy Chi Yu.

The long kiss came to an end, and the one who had taken the initiative became the one on the defensive. Jiang Mo, panting, lay on the bed while Chi Yu went to take a shower. He lay on the bed for a while, then took out his phone to message his friends.

Since those players added Jiang Mo on WeChat, on non-match days, people would often come to ask him to play games. Eight out of ten times, he rejected them.

Because he was busy with training matches and busy practicing with Xia Zeyu, the remaining time was dedicated to Chi Yu. He simply didn’t have time to catch up with these old friends.

[MOMO: Gao Ze, do you have time?]

[Gao Ze: I have a training match scheduled with OS team tonight. I’ll be free in two hours. What’s up?]

Jiang Mo glanced at the time. By the time Gao Ze finished, it wouldn’t be early. Tao Zi and Gao Ze both needed rest.

[MOMO: Do you have time tomorrow afternoon?]

[Gao Ze: Yes.]

[MOMO: Can I challenge you to a solo match?]

Having received Jiang Mo’s challenge, Gao Ze was somewhat surprised. He had invited Jiang Mo many times before, wanting to play duo queue with Jiang Mo, but Jiang Mo always refused. Why would Jiang Mo suddenly want to play solo against him? However, since the other party brought it up, there was no reason to decline. Besides, the regular season matches between SVP and RAG had already ended, so it wouldn’t affect anything.

Gao Ze readily agreed —

[Gao Ze: Sure!]

Now that he had made an appointment with Gao Ze, Jiang Mo excitedly set his sights on the next target: Liu Min, the mid laner of FG team.

Liu Min’s skill level is above Tao Zi’s; he’s a great mentor.

[MOMO: Liu Min, are you free tomorrow?]

Upon hearing the news of Xia Zeyu’s graduation halfway, Coach A’kang’s focus shifted towards him for intensified training. Tao Zi was petrified in an instant.

He was sitting across from Jiang Mo and Xia Zeyu and witnessed firsthand how Xia Zeyu transformed from a lively young boy to someone much older. He thought he was about to endure the same suffering. However, after attending half a day of classes, the curriculum seemed rather easy?

After the training match, Jiang Mo didn’t drag him into additional training. Tao Zi thought he was performing better than Xia Zeyu.

Tao Zi had a good night’s sleep, had his meal, and went to the training room. Jiang Mo was already sitting in his place, waiting for him.

Jiang Mo looked up, revealing his delicate and handsome face under the white hair, his almond-shaped eyes curved, forming a smile that was very heartwarming. “Tao Zi, you’re here!”

TaonZi’s heart rate suddenly accelerated. He quickly reminded himself, ‘This is Chi’s boyfriend. Are you looking for trouble? How dare you let your heart race for Chi’s boyfriend.

“Ar-are we going to start training?” Tao Zi shyly walked to Jiang Mo and sat down. Spending time with Jiang Mo for so long, he had developed a slight stutter when nervous.

Jiang Mo smiled, “Yes, I’ve arranged many tutors for you.”

Tao Zi: “?”

Tao Zi was bewildered, “Aren’t you teaching me?”

“I’ve reconsidered. I’m a jungler, and I might not teach you well. Besides, your skill level is not worse than mine; you just lack confidence. I’ve arranged some outstanding mid laners to train with you. Play well, and don’t lose!” Jiang Mo patted Tao Zi’s shoulder.

Jiang Mo gave his own domestic server account to Tao Zi. Tao Zi didn’t understand; he had his own account too.

As soon as he logged in, he received a friend request, and the ID was RAG·Gao Ze.

Tao Zi: “…”

Tao Zi trembled slightly, “You said training partner, is it, is it, is it Gao Ze from RAG?”

Jiang Mo: “Yes, I asked if he had time and if he’d be willing to solo with me. He agreed.”

Tao Zi: “Isn’t this deception?!”

That’s FG Team, QAQ.

LPL’s top mid laner. What does he have to compete against them? Jiang Mo knows very well about his record against Gao Ze, with ten wins and nine losses.

Jiang Mo’s expression turned serious, and he said earnestly, “So what if it’s Gao Ze? So what if he’s the top mid laner in LPL?”

Tao Zi was stunned. Jiang Mo had never spoken to him in such a serious manner before. Terrifying!

Jiang Mo continued, “You have to become the world’s top mid laner in the future. Show some confidence!”

Tao Zi: “…” You’re overestimating me too much, QAQ!

After playing five rounds, Gao Ze had to go for a training match. Tao Zi thought he was free, but Jiang Mo casually threw a sentence at him.

“I’ve arranged for you to continue with others.”

Tao Zi looked at the person who sent him a team invitation—FG·Liu Min.

Dmn! Why does Jiang Mo always arrange opponents for him who are insurmountable mountains, QAQ!

After playing for an entire afternoon, Jiang Mo practically invited half of LPL’s mid laners. It wasn’t painful to solo with the opponents; the most painful part was that Jiang Mo was sitting next to him. If he missed a creep, Jiang Mo would tap the table with his fingers. If he made a mistake, Jiang Mo wouldn’t say anything but would sigh, making the mistake even more obvious.

Tao Zi was utterly disheartened, almost on the verge of tears. Thinking about his naive thoughts last night, he wanted to mock himself.

No wonder Xia Zeyu looked so haggard. He finally understood Xia Zeyu’s pain.

All his previous infatuation for Jiang Mo had turned into anxiety. Now, seeing Jiang Mo’s innocent face, he felt scared.

This wasn’t an angel at all; he was clearly a demon.

During the mid-solo match, Jiang Mo felt guilty. While Chi Yu’s approach could help Tao Zi improve, he had utilized others’ trust in him.

Jiang Mo apologized to Gao Ze and explained the reason.

[Gao Ze: It’s okay, I knew it was Tao Zi on the other side. I accept your apology. Next time, it’s your turn to solo with me.]

Jiang Mo was momentarily taken aback but quickly realized. Gao Ze had faced Tao Zi many times, so he must easily recognize Tao Z’si playstyle.

He thanked Gao Ze again.

The responses from others were similar to Gao Ze’s. They knew it wasn’t Jiang Mo on the other side, yet they were still willing to play with Tao Zi.

In this rare solo opportunity, Tao Zi was not the only one in training. They also saw Tao Zi as a sparring partner.

Tao Zi wasn’t bad; it’s just that SVP’s top and AD were too outstanding, overshadowing others.

In League of Legends, Double C generally referred to the AD and mid laner, the two damage-dealing positions in the team.

In SVP, the Double C was the top laner and AD, and Tao Zi, who came later into the team, had become a utility player within the team. He rarely picked assassin-type mid laners and mostly opted for heroes with many control skills, leaning towards supporting his teammates.

Jiang Mo had checked Tao Zi’s solo rank records. When Tao Zi played on his own, he preferred assassin-type heroes and was proficient in them. However, for the sake of the team, he made sacrifices, plus his own stage fright, making him reluctant to pick these heroes on the professional stage for fear of losing and affecting the team.

In fact, Xie Ning had a wide hero pool, excelling in both tank and damage-dealing top lane heroes. At times when the team lacked damage, if Tao Zi dared to pick burst heroes, they could have an additional tactical set.

SVP’s team lineups and tactics had been exposed by opponents. The summer tournament was manageable, but if they continued like this, what would they do in the world championship?

Jiang Mo shared his thoughts with Coach A’kang, surprising him. He hadn’t expected Jiang Mo, who had only joined two months ago, to have such keen insights. They discussed for a long time. In this season, Xia Zeyu’s mental state had stabilized, but he still needed continued supervision. With Xia Zeyu at ease, Tao Zi would continue with additional training.

A’kang and Jiang Mo devised several new tactics. Before Jiang Mo left, A’kang patted his shoulder, exclaiming, “Thank you so much for this period; you’ve worked hard.”

Jiang Mo felt a bit embarrassed by the praise and said, blushing, “N-not hard.”

Having Jiang Mo around for a few months had significantly reduced the pressure on A’kang, and he didn’t mind Jiang Mo taking up some of his responsibilities.

Jiang Mo was helping him share the burden and contributing to the team.

These youngsters didn’t want to listen to him but instead followed Jiang Mo’s every word.

He felt inadequate.

Perhaps some people were just born for this job.

Destined to be in the limelight.

Before the starting lineup for the match was announced, keyboard warriors were busy venting all over the forums. Xie Ning and others doing live streams also received their fair share of trolling from these keyboard warriors.

Even Tang Zi, known for his high standards, cursed them in the live stream chat, but fortunately, it was only two words without specifying who it was, so he wouldn’t face punishment.

Fake god, Moo, wasn’t all that impressive; he was just Xia Zeyu’s lackey…

Jiang Mo glanced through it, getting an idea of the situation.

These people just wanted to disrupt their mindset.

In any community, there were plenty of individuals who, when bored and full, liked to vent online. Some carried genuine malice, while others were just following the crowd based on hearsay.

Regardless of their intentions, Jiang Mo found them strange.

Can one truly find happiness in these kinds of activities?

When the starting lineup was announced, in SVP’s last regular match, the starting jungler was—Wish.

They had played 12 matches in the regular season, winning all 12, mostly with a 2:0 score. There were a few instances of 2:1 victories. Their total score currently ranked them first, with not much of a gap from the second-placed PG team.

They still have one last match. If they lose two in a row and PG team wins two in a row, their rank will drop to second place.

The regular season ranking determines the grouping order for the playoffs. The team ranked first will play fewer matches compared to the teams behind them, increasing their chances of winning the championship.

It’s not that Jiang Mo doesn’t trust Xia Zeyu. The reason he wants to play is that he is genuinely angry. He doesn’t care about those comments himself, but he doesn’t want his teammates to be influenced by these people. The best way is to shut those people up with his own skill.

[Hey, if we don’t call you, you won’t come out? It’s like coaxing a child. Does it take requests for you to come out?]

[Are you crazy? The starting lineup is arranged by the coach. Can’t some people stay away?]

[Ah ah ah, Wish hubby!!! I hate it, I didn’t get a ticket for this match. I want to see my hubby up close, QAQ]

[Hahaha, I got front-row seats. I’ll take photos and post them in the trending topic later!]

[So jealous!]

Today’s match is against FG team. Under Chi Yu’s supervision, Jiang Mo finished his meal obediently. He didn’t like the soup today, and he was a bit thirsty. He mentioned it to Chi Yu and went to the vending machine outside to buy a bottle of water. While buying water, he also bought a few bottles of juice.

On his way back, he changed direction and knocked on the door of the FG team’s rest area.

The FG starting players were having dinner in the rest area. They were startled when they suddenly saw a white-haired head at the door.

“Wish?”

“You want to scare us before the game and win without a fight?”

Jiang Mo smiled apologetically and placed the juice he was holding on the empty table.

“I… I’m here to bring you drinks.”

FG team: “?”

Jiang Mo looked at the mid laner, Liu Min, and explained, “Thank you for playing solo with Tao Zi the other day. I’m sorry I didn’t inform you beforehand that we changed players. This is a gesture of goodwill.”

Liu Min waved his hand, not minding at all, “You’re too polite.”

“Well, you guys enjoy your meal. I won’t disturb you. See you on the stage later.” Jiang Mo blushed slightly, waved at the group, and closed the door as he exited.

“Ah, he’s so adorable!” FG’s support exclaimed.

Jungle player Yan Yan said, “Indeed, very adorable.”

Jiang Mo made up his mind. He was going to perform well today and shut those annoying guys up.

In the first game, he picked his signature champion, Viego/foyego.

“Brave Wrist’s Flash locks onto the AD Carry, and his ultimate slam takes him right into the heart of the FG team. What a beautiful slam by Li Yuan! The enemy formation is scattered as Viego’s ultimate drops, and a single Q eliminates FG’s AD Carry. He activates his passive and dares to pick up the AD Carry’s soul!”

The audience in front of the screen could only watch as Wish’s Viego transformed into the enemy’s VN, exhibiting agility comparable to a professional AD Carry. In the blink of an eye, he eliminated the enemy’s jungler and support, making use of his ultimate to negate damage and reset it, creating a slaughter on the battlefield.

As long as one person on the opposing team died, it was the moment for Viego to showcase his skills.

“Triple kill!”

“Quadra kill! Viego secures a quadrakill, and let’s congratulate the SVP team for taking the first game!”

Without giving both teams much time to rest, the second game began.

In this round, Jiang Mo’s Viego was banned, so he chose another proficient champion, Lee Sin.

From the first game where Jiang Mo secured a quadrakill, the detractors in the live chat had become considerably quieter.

This time, they fell completely silent after just five minutes into the second game.

After securing a double kill on the top lane with Lee Sin, Jiang Mo started the “wherever he passed, no grass grew” mode.

This was the first time that Fang Yan had encountered Jiang Mo on the official stage. Previously, he had bumped into Jiang Mo during a ranked game in the Korean server, and at that time, he thought Moo’s skills were pretty good, but not as amazing as Xie Ning had bragged.

However, during these two games today, he had wholeheartedly acknowledged Jiang Mo’s skills.

During the Rift Herald fight in the upper jungle area, knowing that the opposing team was going for the Rift Herald, even if FG was at a disadvantage, they still had to contest it to gain a slight advantage.

All the wards near the pit had been cleared out by Li Yuan. The FG support quietly placed a ward in the Rift Herald pit, as Viego was not with his teammates to take the Herald?!

Before the FG team could react, the Lee Sin lurking in the brush suddenly dashed out. His ultimate kicked the FG AD Carry from behind. Lee Sin’s ultimate could kick a target into the air, and if there were enemies around the target, it would send them flying as well. The FG players were lined up in a row, and the AD Carry, mid laner, and top laner were all kicked like a string of candied haws. Xie Ning immediately followed up, jumping out of the pit and knocking his opponents into the air with Gragas’s belly flop, landing a devastating barrage of skills.

Triple kill!

Quadra kill!

Lee Sin secured another quadra kill, and then he took down the Baron Nashor.

Watching their own Nexus explode, Fang Yan removed his headphones with a numb expression.

Who was the one who said Jiang Mo was cute just now?

Was this guy called cute?!

[“Ahh, Wish, you are my god! Two games, two quadra kills, how can you be so powerful!”]

[“He’s so handsome, he’s a true jungle dad! Please accept me, Wish!”]

[“Where are the people who were calling Wish useless before, hiding in the shadows? A double quadra kill, can you handle it?”]

[“These two games were completely carried by Wish, if you haven’t watched, make sure to check out the replays on M Station.”]

Jiang Mo accepted the post-game interview. The host had interviewed Jiang Mo before, and that interview had caused quite a stir, with many people talking about it.

Seeing Jiang Mo, who appeared somewhat reserved, her expression unconsciously softened.

“Wish, you didn’t have many appearances in the regular season. Did you win in the solo match against Xia Zeyu last night?” This question was actually quite provocative, and the second half wasn’t explicitly stated but everyone understood – did you get to start today because you won the solo match against Xia Zeyu?

The host initially didn’t want to ask this question, but the manager of SVP actively asked her to, and she didn’t understand what the other party was trying to do. Since he insisted on it, she went ahead and asked.Jiang Mo held the microphone and slowly replied, “Yes, I requested to start in the first team with the approval of the coaching staff and Xia Zeyu.”

“Why?” The host was stunned, Jiang Mo’s answer was way too audacious, right?

Jiang Mo continued, “Because, um, some people have poor memories, and I, I want to appear so they don’t forget who their dad is.”

The host: “…”

[“@League Discipline Team, are you going to do something? This person is publicly insulting others during an interview!”]

[“Hahaha, is he insulting someone? I can’t hear it.”]

[“His voice is so cute, how can you call this insulting? He’s obviously in a shaky voice, he’s only saying that because he’s been scared by some people!”]

[“Waaah, he took two quadra kills from FG with tears in his eyes just to help you remember who your dad is, I’m really crying! You ungrateful bunch, you should appreciate your dad’s goodness!”]

[“……”]

TPPMR

The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 64

Today was the match between SVP and NG at the sports center, held in the same location as before.

The bus entered through the back door into the parking garage. Jiang Mo stepped out a step behind, Chi Yu walking in front of him. They both wore matching SVP team jackets. The back of the jacket displayed Wish’s ID.

Jiang Mo had seen this jacket a couple of days ago. When Chi Yu received it, he immediately showed it to Jiang Mo. Jiang Mo was astonished when he first saw it.

Chi Yu explained to him that after getting permission from the team’s owner, they specially made this for him. Chi Yu wanted to wear matching outfits with him.

It had to be said, Chi Yu was naturally stylish and looked good in anything. With him wearing the team uniform and standing next to Jiang Mo’s teammates, whether they won or lost, they didn’t need to worry about their appearance.

There was something that had puzzled Jiang Mo for a long time. Chi Yu had been with the team for ten days, and no one within the team had questioned it. Why could an outsider continue to stay in the team? Even with the owner’s instructions, the way Xie Ning and the others treated Chi Yu was just too strange.

Even the slow-witted Jiang Mo noticed that Xie Ning and the others were extremely afraid of Chi Yu. Every time they saw him, they behaved like mice seeing a cat, meekly tucking their tails.

Was Chi Yu really that terrifying? He didn’t interact with Xie Ning and the others much; there was no need to be so fearful of a stranger, right?

Could an ‘Emperor of Acting‘ title carry such intimidation?

“It’s raining, hurry up.” Xie Ning was the last to get off the bus. He wasn’t wearing a hat and used his hand to shield his head as he ran to Jiang Mo’s side. He wanted to grab Jiang Mo and run forward. His hand was stretched out, fingertips just touching Jiang Mo’s wrist, but he suddenly retracted it, as if Jiang Mo’s hand was scalding.

Jiang Mo found it strange, glanced at Xie Ning, who awkwardly rubbed his hands and avoided eye contact.

Following Xie Ning’s line of sight, Jiang Mo saw Chi Yu waiting for them outside the gate. Chi Yu had a blank expression, and his gaze was intimidating.

Jiang Mo didn’t feel scared because Chi Yu wasn’t looking at him.

This time it wasn’t his imagination. Xie Ning was genuinely afraid of Chi Yu.

“What are you spacing out for?” It was drizzling outside. Jiang Mo wore a baseball cap and watched Xie Ning slowly walking towards them. Chi Yu, with a smile on his face, pulled Jiang Mo closer, raising his hand to tidy up the messy white hair on Jiang Mo’s forehead.

Jiang Mo shook his head, and Xie Ning passed by them.

Normally, when Jiang Mo spoke to others, Xie Ning would quickly approach when he saw him. He would try to join their conversation. Only when Chi Yu was around did Xie Ning dare not do so.

There were not many people at the back door. Coincidentally, just as SVP’s group got off, NG’s team van arrived. Someone came from behind, and Chi Yu didn’t let go.

“Xie Ning, why did you run away when you saw me? I was just about to greet you.” Zhao Fa saw Xie Ning when they were still in the car and rushed over as soon as the door opened.

Xie Ning turned his head. “It’s about to rain heavily. I’m not running and risking a cold, am I?”

Zhao Fa joked, “I thought you were afraid of me.”

Xie Ning rolled his eyes. “Afraid of you? Afraid that you’ll lose and kneel in front of me crying?”

“Oh, so confident,” Zhao Fa laughed. “Since you said that, when we play later, I’ll go easy. Just a formality, no need to go all out.”

Jiang Mo frowned. Whether it was in the previous life or this life, he despised Zhao Fa’s words.

Zhao Fa is not like Xu Li, a person who schemes behind others’ backs; he is quite straightforward, openly speaking and acting on his words. However, this approach can also burden others.

“I’ll play poorly. I came to NG team to just hang around. Once my contract ends and I’ve earned enough money, I’ll retire.”

His passive attitude is unfair to the other teammates, but in NG team, except for Xu Li and an occasionally motivated mid-laner Guo Qiang, everyone else is passive and unenthusiastic. After winning the championship, the team was restructured, and the newly adult Jiang Mo took over a completely new team, a team destined for mediocrity. The difficulty was unimaginable.

If Zhao Fa dares to say this during a league match in front of the audience, he won’t need to play on that day.

Now, with Zhao Fa saying this in front of players from both teams, not only the SVP members but also the NG coach and Xu Li had unpleasant expressions.

“Zhao Fa, what did you just say?” The NG coach grabbed Zhao Fa, almost covering Zhao Fa’s mouth with his hand.

Zhao Fa felt innocent, “I just said it casually.”

NG coach said, “Casually?”

What does it mean to just go through the motions, not putting in any real effort?

If the league staff heard this, they might think they were fixing matches. Does Zhao Fa still want to stay here?

“Fighting against such people is a waste of time,” Li Yuan muttered softly.

“Alright, don’t mind such people. It’s good to earn two points easily from them,” Tang Zi urged Li Yuan forward, not wanting to stay here and be bothered by such people.

The coach had already scolded Zhao Fa, but Xu Li added, “Play seriously later, don’t drag us down.”

Zhao Fa sneered, “Don’t drag you down, huh?”

Xu Li said, “There’s prize money for making it to the playoffs, and if you win the championship, there’s even more money.”

Saying these things is actually useless. Zhao Fa definitely knows about these things. He knows there’s money to be made, yet he doesn’t work hard. It shows he firmly believes that their team won’t make it to the finals and won’t be able to win the championship.

Indeed, Zhao Fa chuckled, “Oh, I see. I’ve already received the prize money in my dreams.”

Xu Li choked, his face turning pale as he watched Zhao Fa walk away.

“Are you hungry? I ordered takeout on my way here. It should have arrived by now,” said Chi Yu nonchalantly, taking out tissues and wiping the water droplets off Jiang Mo’s shoulder.

Jiang Mo nodded, “Yeah, a bit hungry.”

Chi Yu smiled lightly, “Then eat a bit more later.”

Xu Li turned at the sound and saw Jiang Mo and Chi Yu still standing at the door.

Chi Yu wasn’t wearing a mask, and Xu Li hesitated, finding this face somewhat familiar. He had a guess but didn’t dare to confirm.

His attention was more on Jiang Mo.

The real-life Moo was more handsome than the Moo on camera. Even with a hat and a mask, it couldn’t conceal this person’s charisma.

If those fans saw the real person, they would probably all become die-hard fans.

Life is really unfair.

Not only was he good-looking, but he also came here to compete with them for a living. With such looks, why not go to the entertainment industry? Why stir things up in the e-sports world?

Perhaps Xu Li’s gaze was too targeted, and the slow-witted Jiang Mo didn’t feel it, but Chi Yu by his side did. He turned his head, and the icy gaze swept over Xu Li. With just one glance, Xu Li was scared into retracting his thoughts.

At that moment, a teammate of Xu Li spoke, “Xiao Li, let’s go inside.”

Guo Qiang, the mid-laner, was someone who liked peace. He usually listened to Xu Li. He patted Xu Li’s shoulder and whispered softly.

Xu Li, feeling guilty, retracted his gaze and followed Guo Qiang to the backstage like he was fleeing.

“Do you know him?” Chi Yu didn’t stop and carefully checked if Jiang Mo’s clothes were wet from the rain.

Jiang Mo replied, “N-No, I don’t know him.”

This statement wasn’t a lie. His response to Chi Yu had a different meaning—it was just acknowledging a stranger he used to know.

They had severed ties, and they wouldn’t have any interaction in this lifetime. Of course, he didn’t know him anymore.

Chi Yu sneered, “It seems like he knows you one-sidedly. He’s not a friend worth having any association with.”

Saying so, Jiang Mo found it unexpected.

Just by one glance, Chi Yu could determine if Xu Li was good or bad?

Well, Chi Yu had spent so long in the entertainment industry that when he looked at these kids, he could almost see through what they were thinking.

Jiang Mo said, “Okay, I’ll listen to you.”

Jiang Mo and Chi Yu entered the resting room last. Chi Yu not only ordered takeout for the two of them but also included others.

“Thanks, boss!” When Jiang Mo entered, he heard Tao Zi shouting and thanking them.

Jiang Mo blinked and pointed to Chi Yu beside him, “I didn’t order the takeout, it was Chi Yu.”

Tao Zi, gnawing on a large chicken leg, happily said, “Of course, I was thanking Boss Chi.”

Xie Ning’s elbow jabbed, causing Tao Zi to wince. The chicken in his mouth fell to the floor. He glared at Tao Zi, silently signaling – Who asked you to be so talkative! Do you want to die?

Tao Zi looked wronged, “…”

Jiang Mo: “?”

Here they go again, these two are so strange.

“You said you were hungry, come and eat quickly.” Chi Yu held Jiang Mo’s hand and pulled him to sit in their usual corner.

The matches were usually scheduled in the afternoon or evening, and they had to arrive at the venue in advance. They often didn’t have time for meals and had to eat in the resting room.

Before Chi Yu joined the team, they would order fried chicken, burgers, or instant noodles, just something quick.

After Chi Yu joined, the team’s meals improved significantly. They would order from the best nearby restaurants, focusing on a healthy and balanced diet.

While eating, Jiang Mo was reflecting on the scene just now.

This is when he transmigrated into the book. It was the first time he saw Xu Li, with a face exactly like the one in his memories, but with a few more traces of youthfulness and decadence.

Jiang Mo naturally knew that Xu Li was looking at him. He had trusted Xu Li before and had overlooked the complicated implications in Xu Li’s gaze.

Just now, Xu Li’s gaze towards him was so much like the past life, just that the jealousy in his eyes was fainter than in the previous life.

Jiang Mo was a bit puzzled. Xu Li didn’t even know who he was, so why the hostility?

Jiang Mo swallowed the food in his mouth, wiped his mouth, and asked Chi Yu, “Would someone be jealous of a person they’ve never met for no reason?”

Jiang Mo’s bewildered expression was too cute, and Chi Yu, with a gentle look, couldn’t help but pat Jiang Mo’s hair.

“There are many people like that. They like to compare themselves with others. Life is unfair, everyone can’t deny that fact. Some people are born in Rome, and some are born burdened with huge debts. Why can others win the lottery and not me? Why can others succeed and not me? They can’t understand and will vent their resentment on successful people. When you encounter such people, just ignore them. The higher you stand, the better you retaliate against them.”

Jiang Mo nodded.

In the end, it was all because of jealousy.

Xu Li was that kind of person. Because of his popularity, income, and overall superiority compared to XunLi, Xu Li was jealous of him and was willing to do anything to ruin him.

In this life, Xu Li didn’t know him yet. Perhaps when he encountered Xu Li in the Korean server, Xu Li remembered him.

Seeing so many people supporting him in his live stream, that’s when Xu Li started looking at him this way.

Truly beyond redemption, Jiang Mo sneered in his heart.

Even if it wasn’t him, Xu Li would still be jealous of someone else.

Chi Yu was right; he didn’t need to care about such people.

The best revenge was to stand higher, so that Xu Li didn’t even have the chance to vent.

Coach A’kang asked Jiang Mo if he wanted to go on stage and practice. Jiang Mo declined.

He didn’t want to play against a team without any fighting spirit, and there was no need to repeatedly torment his enemy. He had already beaten Xu Li several times during the Korean server ranking matches.

Twenty minutes later, the league staff notified them to go on stage.

In this match, the starting lineup remained the same, with the original five members. Jiang Mo was forced by Chi Yu to finish a whole box of food, and he felt a bit full, walking around the lounge to aid digestion.

The live broadcast for the match had already started. Due to the attention Jiang Mo garnered from his recent broadcasts, the director deliberately focused on SVP’s lounge for a whole minute.

[“Oh no, my heart is broken seeing the starting lineup. I thought I could see my little sweetheart play!”]

[“This is too much, why call someone else’s boyfriend a little sweetheart? He’s my little sweetheart!”]

[“Hahaha, is Xiao Jieba having ADHD? Stop walking around, the camera can’t catch you!”]

[“What’s going on? A ritual?”]

[“Hilarious, do we need a ritual to play against NG Team?”]

[“Give NG Team some face!”]

[“Who doesn’t know that NG Team is a throwaway team? They’re just good at hiding. The League Discipline Committee can’t catch them doing anything wrong, or else this team would have disbanded long ago.”]

[“Even though the camera only captured a second, I still saw it. I’ve been wanting to ask, who is that handsome guy wearing a hat and lowering his head in the corner? I saw him standing next to Xiao Jieba at the match venue before, also covering up like Xiao Jieba, couldn’t even see his eyes. Who is he?”]

[“Hmm, probably a new staff member for the team!”]

[“Is there a staff member that handsome?”]

[“You didn’t even see his face, and you’re already praising him for being handsome just from his back view? Isn’t that too exaggerated?”]

[“You should look at the charisma, some people exude a presence even while sitting, probably taller than 1.8 meters.”]

[“Are you crazy? We’re here to watch the match, don’t get infatuated just by seeing someone.”]

The players had all gone on stage, and the cameras were still rolling. Without a word, Chi Yu turned off the camera in their area and waved at Jiang Mo.

Jiang Mo had now honed the ability to guess what Chi Yu wanted to do with just one movement.

Jiang Mo hesitated and pointed to the surrounding cameras. The director wouldn’t show the lounge’s footage again in the short term, but the cameras were still on. Moreover, Manager Da Tian and the mid laner substitute, Xiao Xi, were still there. Coach A’kang was coming back after the BP was over.

Chi Yu moved his lips silently, saying—Don’t want to listen to me again?

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo blushed as he slowly approached Chi Yu, taking measured steps. He was about half a meter away from Chi Yu when Chi Yu reached out and pulled him closer.

With someone around, Chi Yu was mindful of the boundaries. He just held Jiang Mo’s waist, embracing him from behind, resting his chin on Jiang Mo’s shoulder.

Holding Jiang Mo like a small pillow while watching the match was more comfortable.

Da Tian covered his eyes, unable to watch.

When some of the older brothers in the team went to the front for the match, Xiao Xi was already accustomed to such scenes. He remained indifferent, staring at the screen with a blank expression, practicing the art of ‘not looking.’

In this match, fans of both teams weren’t nervous. NG fans didn’t expect their team to win. Winning would be a pleasant surprise, but losing wouldn’t matter.

As anticipated by the audience, SVP effortlessly won this match 2-0.

SVP had won three consecutive matches without losing a single game, currently leading in the standings.

Before his teammates left the stage, Jiang Mo struggled to free himself from Chi Yu’s embrace and blushing, he hurried to the restroom.

Fortunately, his teammates were understanding and didn’t get upset that he always had his boyfriend with him wherever he went. Xie Ning and the others were not uncomfortable, but Jiang Mo felt a bit awkward.

As he reached the entrance to the restroom, Jiang Mo overheard a conversation inside, a familiar voice—it was Xu Li and Zhao Fa.

“Do you know who the man standing next to Wish is?”

Even though they lost the match, they were talking about him?

The voices approached closer, and Jiang Mo didn’t know what he was thinking. Before the two came out, he subconsciously hid in the nearby storage room, the door closing, obscuring their view but allowing him to hear their conversation.

The sound of a lighter flicking resonated.

Zhao Fa lit a cigarette and chuckled, “Why are you asking about this?”

Xu Li responded casually, “Just curious. I feel like I’ve seen that person somewhere.”

Zhao Fa, who usually didn’t focus on serious matters, loved gossip. Not only in the esports scene, he enjoyed digging up gossip in other circles as well. Many times, if you inquired with Zhao Fa, you could generally uncover some news.

Zhao Fa added, “Of course, you’ve seen him. It’s Chi Yu, Actor Chi. Don’t you recognize him?”

Xu Li: “…” The face he saw just now matched the face from his distant memory—it was indeed Actor Chi!

Xu Li was even more puzzled: “Why is Actor Chi with the SVP team?”

Zhao Fa blew out a few smoke rings and said, “He’s the owner of the SVP team. Why do you think he’s here? Of course, to supervise the players in the match. He treats his staff so well. This season, he’s been with them for every match. Even the takeout he orders is specially delivered from upscale restaurants…”

Xu Li clicked his tongue.

Having a boss like this was really lucky.

Zhao Fa glanced at Xu Li and immediately understood what was on his mind.

The NG team’s owner was not bad to them either, but unfortunately, Xu Li had an average appearance, and the owner didn’t fancy him, so they were not willing to invest much in him.

Zhao Fa patted Xu Li on the shoulder, giving a fake smile of encouragement. “I remember when this season ends, your contract will be up. If you work harder, maybe you can get into the SVP team. Come on, I have high hopes for you.”

Xu Li shook off Zhao Fa’s hand aggressively, glaring at him in anger. He was not stupid; he could clearly hear the sarcasm in Zhao Fa’s words.

Jiang Mo, hiding in the storage room, widened his eyes. Chi Yu was the owner of the SVP team??

“For you, even if I get fleeced a lot, it’s worth it. He doesn’t ask for much from me. Considering the sacrifices I’ve made for you, you must obey me in the future.”

“I’ll listen! I’ll definitely listen to you.”

“Will you listen to everything I say?”

“Anything and everything!”

“You promised me that you’ll obey.”

“You mean I’m not obedient now?”

Chi Yu, that jerk!

Thinking about his promise to Chi Yu to obey, he suppressed his embarrassment and obediently followed Chi Yu’s instructions, doing many things he didn’t dare to do…

So, Chi Yu wasn’t the sheep being fleeced, he was the foolish sheep all along!

Jiang Mo’s face turned red with the realization, and he was so angry that he wanted to storm out and settle the score with Chi Yu.

When the surroundings were quiet, Jiang Mo walked out of the storage room. He walked out of the restroom, angry. After taking a few steps, he remembered the reason he came to the restroom in the first place. He turned back in frustration, did what he came to do, and his anger subsided a bit.

Seeing Chi Yu waiting for him with an umbrella at the entrance, his anger diminished further.

“Chi Yu!” Jiang Mo pushed the door open, looking visibly upset, furrowing his brows and glaring at Chi Yu.

“What’s wrong?” Chi Yu smiled and poked the puffed-up mask covering Jiang Mo’s face. The face beneath the mask was surely very adorable.

“Who made my Mo Mo angry?” Chi Yu asked playfully.

Jiang Mo: “…”

His anger was deflated a little by Chi Yu’s antics, nearly dissipating.

Every time he heard Chi Yu say “my Mo Mo,” his heart would race.

“You… you lied to me!” Jiang Mo said.

Chi Yu was momentarily taken aback, still wearing a smile, and asked, “What did I lie to you about?”

Jiang Mo: “You said you were being fleeced by our boss, but, in fact, you are our team’s boss, right?”

Chi Yu didn’t change his expression and openly admitted, “Yes, I’m your boss.”

He even emphasized the last four words.

Jiang Mo: “…”

What to do with an enemy who was too honest?

“Why… why did you lie to me?” Jiang Mo pouted, feeling annoyed.

There was a hint of grievance in Chi Yu’s eyes as he asked in return, “What did I lie to you about?”

Jiang Mo replied, “You said our boss fleeced you, and that’s why I agreed to let you stay in the base. All of that was a lie!”

The silly argument gave him a boost of confidence, and he felt quite assertive in this argument. Look at how he boldly said that sentence without any stammering.

Chi Yu found it amusing and, while still sounding a bit aggrieved, said, “I didn’t lie to you. I was telling the truth.”

Jiang Mo: “?”

The rain intensified, and raindrops were blown in by the wind. Chi Yu changed his position to shield Jiang Mo securely, preventing the rain from splashing on him.

Jiang Mo’s heart suddenly raced.

Chi Yu always said, “I’m eight years older than you, you’re like my little child, and I will take care of you.”

Chi Yu wasn’t just saying it for fun. He not only said these things but also acted upon them very well, addressing every detail that touched Jiang Mo’s heart.

He might never find someone who would be better to him than Chi Yu.

What Chi Yu deceived him about was just a trivial matter. He could be a bit more generous and forgive Chi Yu.

As this thought crossed his mind, he heard Chi Yu say, “I just didn’t tell you that I’m your boss. When I said your boss is difficult to handle, that’s my self-awareness. It’s a fact that your boss fleeced you, and by fleecing you, he’s essentially fleecing me. You’re my little lamb, after all. Haven’t I been taking good care of you these past few days?”

Jiang Mo: “…”

His ears turned red, and it took him a while to blurt out two words, “Bad person!”

Chi Yu nodded and smiled, saying, “It seems you’re not satisfied. I’ll try my best to earn a five-star rating from you.”

“Bad… bad person!”

“Well, I am a bad person,” Chi Yu held the umbrella with his right hand and opened his left hand, showing a brilliant smile to Jiang Mo. “So, can you forgive this bad person? Be good, don’t be angry, let’s go home.”

Jiang Mo lowered his head, and the wind tousled his white hair, revealing his already reddened ears.

“Just, just forgive you this time. You, you can’t deceive me anymore in the future.”

After saying this, he added in a soft voice, “Even without this excuse, I would still obediently listen to you.”

Jiang Mo’s voice remained as soft and pleasant as ever, penetrating into Chi Yu’s heart and creating ripples that would never fade away.

Chi Yu sighed helplessly and hugged Jiang Mo tightly.

Saying such sweet words was truly maddening.

The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 63

After returning from the Little Cat Headquarters, Da Tian didn’t rush for Jiang Mo to start the live broadcast. The next match was in two days, followed by a five-day break. If the team won the victory, it would be the best time to start the broadcast.

In the second match of the SVP Summer Tournament, they were up against the CAG team. It wasn’t as difficult as facing RAG; Jiang Mo didn’t play, and they won 2-0 against the opponent.

[Did they win? Did Xia Zeyu suddenly perform well? Why is he in such good form this season? Before the match, I was looking forward to seeing the substitute play.]

[Xia Zeyu: You guys are really strange, huh? Last season, I didn’t play well, and you criticized me. This season, I’m doing better, and you’re still talking about me. What do you want me to do?]

[Haha, Xia Zeyu seems so pitiful! Although I feel sorry for him, I’m also looking forward to the substitute guy playing. Maybe the league should arrange a seat for him in the player’s area for watching. I can just watch his reactions without paying attention to his gameplay.]

[Do you all consider Wish as the SVP team’s mascot?]

Of course, he’s the mascot.

Jiang Mo is their team’s treasure. He hasn’t been here for long, but he has already helped Xia Zeyu with half of his issues.

Manager Da Tian thought contentedly, as Jiang Mo finished his meal and walked into the training room, he was pushed into a seat by Da Tian.

“I’ve already notified on Weibo. Your fans know you’re going live today and have been eagerly waiting. I don’t think I need to tell you what to say and what not to say during the livestream. You have the experience, after all.”

Jiang Mo nodded and proficiently opened the livestream backend.

After signing with the Little Cat platform, Wish’s name was added to the SVP team’s main livestream. Some of the team’s fans noticed, and every day, they eagerly awaited his livestream. In the two days before going live, his livestream account gained over 20,000 followers. Of course, this number couldn’t be compared to Xie Ning and the others.

Among these 20,000 people, some followed him because of his performance in the first match, while others were die-hard fans of the team who intentionally followed him to make sure he didn’t feel left out.

A good number of people had already gathered in the livestream room, chatting in the chatbox and urging him to start the stream. This reminded Jiang Mo of the days when he used to livestream using the Land Encounter account.

Back when the livestream room had just over 10,000 fans, many enthusiastic fans used to warm his livestream room every day.A smile appeared in Jiang Mo’s eyes. When the clock struck seven, he promptly opened the livestream.

The viewer count wasn’t as high as Da Tian had imagined. In the first minute, the popularity only rose to 30,000. Da Tian wasn’t worried at all, and Jiang Mo didn’t pay much attention.

[“Is this Wish’s livestream room?”]

[“Why is there no sound? And no face either. It’s fine for the host not to turn on the camera, but aren’t they planning to use a mic either?”]

It was at this moment that Da Tian remembered and reminded Jiang Mo, “You need to turn on the camera.”

“Okay.” Jiang Mo hadn’t used the camera in a long time, and it took a while to set up.

Suddenly, a frame appeared on the screen, and the audience in the livestream room saw the familiar white hair and black mask.

[“Ah, it’s Wish!!!”]

[“Why are you still wearing a mask so late at night? Can you breathe properly like this? Be careful not to get a face full of pimples from the stuffiness!”]

[“Mind your own business. If they don’t want to show their face, why force them? In the e-sports world, being good at the game is what matters, not appearance.”]

Jiang Mo greeted the viewers in the livestream room a belated “Good evening, everyone. I’m Wish.”

[“He looks aloof on the outside, but why is his voice so gentle?”]

[“This is probably a contrast that’s cute, right?”]

Jiang Mo opened up League of Legends (LOL) without selecting a specific mode and asked the viewers, “What would you like to see?”

He tried to slow down his speaking speed, speaking without hesitation. To the viewers, it seemed like this white-haired streamer was nervous, and his voice was trembling.

[“Haha, he looks so nervous. His voice is trembling, kind of cute!”]

[“Don’t be so nervous. We won’t bite. Relax!”]

[“Ranked games! How about duo queuing with Xie Ning, jungle duo! Tao Zi is also fine, the jungle coordination looks good too.”]

[“Let’s play ARAM! Always playing ranked gets boring. Let’s have some relaxation in a casual match.”]

Jiang Mo thought for a moment and decided to start with an ARAM game to warm up. Before he could even create the room, the screen erupted with a splendid display of fireworks.

[SVP·Lemon set off a celestial firework in your livestream roomand left a message—Take me to play!]

Jiang Mo paused, lifting his head to look at Xie Ning diagonally across. Xie Ning winked at him and repeated, “Big brother, take me to play!”

[“??? What did I just hear? Is that Xie Ning’s voice? He’s not doing his own livestream, so what’s he doing hiding in someone else’s livestream room?”]

[“Dmn, why is he calling Wish ‘big brother’? Is Wish older than Xie Ning? Doesn’t seem like it. Xie Ning looks much older than Wish!”]

[“Is this for real? Xie Ning must be mad!”]

Not wanting to embarrass his teammates, Jiang Mo hadn’t even said the word “okay” when the screen erupted again with dazzling fireworks.【

[RAG Tiny Tower set off five celestial fireworks in your livestream room and left a message—Big brother, take me to play!]

[“???”]

[“Xie Ning is understandable, but why does Xu Ta also call Wish ‘big brother’? Are they relatives or something?”]

[“Maybe they already knew each other, just playful banter?”]

[RAG·Gaoze set off ten celestial fireworks in your livestream room and left a message—Wish, take me along too.]

[“??? I don’t understand. Why is Gao Ze from Team RAG also…”]

[“At least be grateful that Gao Ze didn’t call him ‘big brother.’ If Gao Ze had really called him ‘big brother,’ the majestic image of Gao Ze in my mind would have been shattered.”]

[Who is this guy really?! Why are Xu Ta and Gao Ze asking him to play games together?”][

[SVP·Lemon: Are you part of our team? Fans from other teams, stop trying to flatter people from our team!]

[RAG Tiny Tower: Huh, I’m talking to my big brother. Who are you? Scrutinizing and investigating. Your big bro is back to resume streaming, and you’re just sending one firework. Who do you think you are?]

[SVP·Lemon set off eleven celestial fireworks in your livestream room and left a message—Stop talking nonsense. When I set off dozens of fireworks for my brother, you weren’t even here. You came later, and my brother hasn’t even acknowledged your position. Who do you think you are calling brother?]

[RAG Tiny Tower set off twelve celestial fireworks in your livestream room and left a message—I just like calling that, so what? He hasn’t denied it either! Wuu wuu wuu @Wish, big brother, I’m your good little brother, right!]

Jiang Mo: “…”

[SVP·Lemon set off thirteen celestial fireworks in your livestream room and left a message—Stop acting up. As long as I’m here, you won’t set foot in our home! My brother and I are family!]

[RAG Tiny Tower set off fourteen celestial fireworks in your livestream room and left a message—Have you ever heard a saying? The family’s flower is not as fragrant as the wild one. The little brother at home isn’t as good as the one outside. I’m affectionate and can sweet talk, I’m great at buttering up. I’m willing to let my bro take the jungle role, can you do that?]

Jiang Mo: “…”

He didn’t want to admit these two as his little brothers, but seeing the screen filled with fireworks, the corners of Jiang Mo’s mouth under the mask had already lifted high.

So much chaos! This was probably the joy of the third party benefiting from the quarrel between two parties.

Seeing Jiang Mo’s livestream room turning into Xie Ning and Xu Ta’s “home ground,” Da Tian slapped his forehead, suddenly stood up, and walked over to grab Xie Ning’s ear. “You just can’t stay out of trouble for a day, can you?”

“Ouch ouch ouch!”

Xie Ning’s pig-like squeal echoed in the livestream room, and the screen was filled with [“hahaha.”]

[“Wait a minute, what did Xu Ta and Xie Ning mean by what they said just now? What does “resume streaming” mean?”]

[“Also, the vibes of these two people are so familiar. Xie Ning doesn’t usually call others ‘big brother,’ right? I remember he called someone ‘big brother’ before.”]

[” Xiao Jieba?”]

Jiang Mo didn’t hide anything and casually explained the situation.”Yeah, I, I livestreamed on Little Cat TV before because I used my big brother’s account. That’s why the livestream room got banned. I’m already of legal age; it’s not underage streaming!”

[“What the heck???”]

[“What the heck!!!”]

[“Ahhhhh, it’s Stammer’s lost little brother QAQ. You’ve actually gone pro, crying, I can see you again! I’m so close to tears. Please don’t abandon livestreaming in the future, make sure to stream a lot!”]

[“Xiao Jieba?!”]

[“What the heck, in my memory, Xiao Jieba is a very cute younger brother. How can he be this handsome guy in front of us?”]

[“Haha, Wish is pretty cute too!”]

[“Ahhhh, Stammer’s little brother can’t possibly be this handsome! Oh my god, how am I supposed to call him ‘husband’? Brother turned into husband, I… I don’t want this face anymore, husband smooches!”]

Because the livestream room was banned, the fans who couldn’t see Xiao Jieba’s livestream were heartbroken for a long time. Upon hearing the news, they immediately flooded into Wish’s livestream room. When they saw the white-haired youth, they subconsciously froze, and a thought came to their minds – can their Xiao Jieba really be this handsome?

[“Sob, siblings, I’ve been wandering for so long, and I’ve finally found a home QAQ”]

[“Xiao Jieba, I don’t know how I’d survive without you! Sob sob sob, I finally waited for you! I just knew you’d come back.”]

[“From now on, if anyone dares to say anything bad about Wish, they’re going against me! Our Xiao Jieba is amazing!”]

[“Xiao Jieba’s husband set off a celestial firework in your livestream room and left a message—Sob sob sob, my treasure, you’re finally back. I haven’t spent a single penny of the money I topped up for you last time. I’ve been waiting for you to come back so I can spend it. Quickly say my name!”]

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo looked at this name with a complicated expression on his face. He couldn’t say it out loud. He had an intuition that if he did, the person upstairs would immediately rush down and declare sovereignty in front of everyone in the livestream room.

“Thank you, kind sir!” Jiang Mo continued to brush it off as usual.

[“Xiao Jieba’s husband: Ahhhh, not ‘kind sir,’ can’t we skip the ‘kind sir’ title between us? You don’t sound . that when you say other people’s names!”]

Jiang Mo apologized, “Thank you, kind sir.”

[“Xiao Jieba’s husband: I appreciate that you’re still humoring me QAQ!”]

[“Hahaha, I’m dying of laughter. Is this the previous ID of Xiao Jieba’s brother?”]

[“Brother, you truly are Xiao Jieba’s number one devoted fan. Wherever Xiao Jieba is, you’re there too. Truly…persistent, hahaha!”]

[“Genuinely feeling for this kind sir, I can only offer a respectful laugh for now.”]

Jiang Mo hadn’t even started playing the game, but in just ten minutes, the number of viewers in the livestream room had jumped from the original 20,000 to 200,000.

Da Tian stood behind Xie Ning, supervising him, and at the same time, kept an eye on Jiang Mo’s actions with his phone. When he saw this astonishing data, even he was taken aback.

Before becoming the SVP manager, he had been with other teams. Hadn’t he seen it all?

This was the first time he had seen someone gain over 200,000 followers within less than half an hour of starting a livestream. And the numbers were still increasing.

[RAG·Gaoze: Wish, how about teaming up?]

After being interrupted by their own jungle player, Gao Ze personally stepped in to teach Xu Ta a lesson, then returned to his seat to set off a few more celestial fireworks for Jiang Mo.

Jiang Mo: “Okay, sure.”

[FG·Fang Yan set off ten celestial fireworks in your livestream room and left a message—Um, how about bringing me along too?]

[UN·Chen Jia set off ten celestial fireworks in your livestream room and left a message—If it’s convenient, bring me along as well!]

[“???”]

[“At this time, why aren’t you practicing in training matches properly? What are you doing in an SVP player’s livestream?”]

Not only these few individuals, but Jiang Mo also received warm greetings from various major teams. Watching the constant stream of celestial fireworks, Jiang Mo’s eyes became blurry.

He could take Cheng Yu to a high-end restaurant tomorrow and order the entire menu without feeling guilty!

Not only the viewers lurking in Jiang Mo’s livestream, even his fans were baffled. When did Jiang Mo get to know so many professional players? Apart from the NG team, almost all thirteen teams’ members had made appearances, right? Was this new substitute player so well-liked?

Before his transmigration, Jiang Mo was acquainted with these players, and after the transmigration, he had crossed paths with them a few times during ranked matches. Sometimes they were teammates, sometimes opponents, but Jiang Mo hadn’t communicated with them much. He didn’t expect that when he started a livestream, these people would help him engage the audience. He smiled and thanked each of them.

A game could only have ten players, five on each side. Jiang Mo could only invite four others to join him. They were more agreeable and accommodating than Xie Ning and Xu Ta, who were constantly arguing. They added Jiang Mo as a friend, and he considered himself owing them one game for now.

Jiang Mo created a room, invited Gao Ze, Chen Jia, Fang Yan, and RAG’s top laner, Best. They didn’t play ranked, opting for a more relaxed game in the Cloning Mode.

No one answered the viewers’ confusion. Xiao Jieba’s fans, in hindsight, remembered something.

[“Holy moly, it’s been so long since I’ve watched Xiao Jieba’s livestream, and Xie Ning also hasn’t streamed for a long time. Without him nagging in my ear, I almost forgot something. Do you remember Xiao Jieba’s Hanfu ID?”]

[“Moo!!!”]

[“Holy cow, I just remembered, it’s Moo!”]

SVP didn’t invite an unknown substitute jungle player; this dude is the fearsome Moo who dominates the Korean server.

[“Dmn, @SVP team, you kept it well-hidden! Thought you brought in airborne troops, turns out it’s a trump card.”]

[“What’s so special about it? Don’t mythicize players so easily. So what if it’s Moo? If he loses, we’ll still criticize. He’s played a lot of casual games normally; who knows how he’ll perform in a real tournament.”]

[“You’ve got quite the sour tone. Xiao Jieba does play casual games, but King’s Glory casual games aren’t Silver or Gold ranks. Ever heard of masters among the common folk? Is it so hard to admit someone’s skilled?”]

[“I don’t care! I’m Moo’s die-hard fan, from now on, I’m Wish’s die-hard fan! Who dares to insult him, I won’t stand for it!”]

[“Suddenly want to interview Xia Zeyu. Moo is your substitute now, how do you feel?”]

Xia Zeyu was, of course, watching his master’s livestream and saw the barrage of comments.

How does he feel? His feeling is that his disciple can’t do anything except shower him with gifts.

While Jiang Mo was playing games with Gao Ze and the others, his livestream room climbed to the top spot in the League of Legends section in less than an hour, with over four million viewers. For a streamer starting on their first day, this was extraordinary. The platform’s viewership might have some inflation, but the follows required real-name verification, so this data couldn’t be faked. Jiang Mo’s follower count had jumped from the original 20,000 to nearly 900,000.

Not only were SVP’s loyal fans and Xiao Jieba’s fans, as well as Moo’s technical fans, watching, but fans of other teams’ players were also drawn to Jiang Mo because of their respective team’s reasons.

Cao Xing, the head of the Little Cat platform, was monitoring the backend data in real-time. Seeing the overwhelming shower of gifts in Jiang Mo’s livestream, he couldn’t stop grinning.

[“Darling, you’re such a gem!”]

Out of the 13 LPL teams, only NG team had no activity.

Half an hour ago, Xu Li finished his solo queue and watched helplessly as Jiang Mo’s stream shot up to the front page. Not feeling a bit sour would be fake.

He started with a lot of enthusiasm when he first debuted, but ever since joining NG team, he’d been constantly suppressed and was nearing a breaking point.

Since the change in ownership, the team’s performance plummeted, and the teammates played lacklusterly. This game was a team effort; one person’s effort alone wouldn’t lead to victory.

He tried to encourage his teammates to step up, but they were all lured by immediate gains and blinded by the present benefits.

Can one earn much by focusing solely on playing professionally?

They weren’t top-tier players, their annual salaries were meager. It was better to make money during the short golden period.

He initially thought that pushing for higher rankings and performing well would catch the eye of other teams during the transfer period, but the management of major teams ruled out NG, the struggling team, while selecting players. Xu Li was infuriated and, reluctantly, had to renew his contract with NG.

If he didn’t choose NG, he’d have nowhere to go, wasting a season’s time. It was better to give it another try.

Upon knowing that Wish was Moo, Xu Li secretly blamed Jiang Mo for everything.

No wonder no one wanted him. They all wanted Moo; how could they even notice him?

He didn’t consider that even though major teams were fiercely vying for Moo, Jiang Mo was a jungler, while he was an AD carry. Their positions had no conflict.

The news about Jiang Mo was announced on the last day of the transfer period, and it didn’t steal anyone’s spotlight.

Xu Li remained expressionless, refreshing Jiang Mo’s stream repeatedly. The number of followers in Jiang Mo’s stream was increasing every second, about to surpass nine hundred thousand.

This was the perfect debut data he had dreamed of.

Gaining everyone’s attention, the attention of various team players…

Yet, all of this was not his; someone effortlessly achieved it.

“Hey, they’re all sending gifts to Wish. We’re playing against them next, so as a gesture, I’ll send him a few fireworks.” Zhao Fa exited the female streamer’s stream, saw SVP·Wish’s name floating on the front page, and driven by curiosity, he clicked to take a look and was startled by the astounding gifts and attention.

Xu Li’s eyes reddened, sneering, “Do you have any influence over him? Are you that close? Gifting tens of thousands to someone for free, and the platform takes a cut too.”

“We’re not close because we don’t know each other. If you’re not close, there has to be a process to become close. If you don’t take the initiative, how could you become close?” Zhao Fa said, then sent three starry fireworks to Jiang Mo.

Xu Li sneered a couple of times, cursing Zhao Fa for spending money recklessly, giving money to the opponent.

Truly foolish.

Jiang Mo streamed for three hours before going offline.

Today was a day off, and he decided to sleep early. After returning to his room and taking a shower, Chi Yu was sitting in his usual spot, holding a cup of warm milk.

Having learned from the previous lesson, Jiang Mo expressionlessly took the milk and drank it all in one go.

Chi Yu seemed to be in a bad mood, his face devoid of the usual smile as he reached out to touch Jiang Mo’s stomach.

“What’s wrong?” Startled by the sudden poke, Jiang Mo laughed, afraid of the ticklish sensation.

Chi Yu took the empty cup from Jiang Mo’s hand, placed it on the bedside table, and then firmly held Jiang Mo’s wrist, locking him in his embrace.

“W-What’s going on?” Familiar with Chi Yu’s sudden actions, Jiang Mo was less flustered than the first time.

However, sitting face to face was too intimate, especially when being closely observed by Chi Yu. No matter how used to it he was, he couldn’t suppress his instincts.

Jiang Mo’s cheeks turned red. Chi Yu didn’t kiss him but instead hugged him tightly, and his head rested somewhat listlessly on his shoulder.

“Chi Yu, what’s wrong? Did something at work bother you?” Jiang Mo hugged Chi Yu back and patted his back.

Chi Yu shook his head, and the soft strands of his hair brushed against Jiang Mo’s neck and ears, making him feel a bit ticklish.

“Called me the wrong name again. Is Jiang Xiaopeng going through a rebellious phase?” Chi Yu’s lips were against Jiang Mo’s clavicle, sounding a bit muffled.

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo: “Brother.”

Even upon hearing this address, Chi Yu didn’t cheer up.

Chi Yu rarely entered the training room. He was afraid that his presence would make the younger members of the team uncomfortable. He also knew that Jiang Mo didn’t like being too intimate in front of his teammates.

So he endured it.

During Jiang Mo’s livestream, Chi Yu sat in their bedroom and watched the entire broadcast.

Seeing the barrage going crazy calling Jiang Mo “husband,” he endured and nearly rushed downstairs to the training room, intending to tell the audience in front of Jiang Mo’s camera that Jiang Mo was his and his alone.

Why were these people calling someone else’s boyfriend “husband”?

“A-Are you not happy? Did I make you angry?” Jiang Mo thought for a while but could only come up with this question.

“Our Xiao Jiang is so amazing, they’re all calling you ‘husband’,” Chi Yu said with a hint of jealousy. “I don’t know, maybe you’ve made me wear so many ‘green hats’ outside.”

Jiang Mo: “…”Jiang Mo was rarely amused by Chi Yu’s unusual tone. “Brother, you call me a kid, but you’re more childish than me.”

Now he learned to back-talk him?

Chi Yu lifted his head and squinted.

Jiang Mo caught a hint of ominous vibes. Before he could say, “I take back what I just said,” the lights in the room were dimmed by Chi Yu.

Jiang Mo was held tightly in Chi Yu’s embrace, the front-facing hug too intimate. Chi Yu’s lips pressed forcefully, descending from the top to the bottom…

At first, Jiang Mo thought Chi Yu was being somewhat gentle, but he was mistaken.

He cried until he couldn’t catch his breath, and Chi Yu didn’t let up.

Still sitting in Chi Yu’s embrace, pressed closely without any barrier, Chi Yu deliberately teased him, pressing him even harder into his embrace.

“Brother, I-I was wrong…” Jiang Mo grabbed Chi Yu’s arm, but his hands were sweaty and slippery, unable to grip firmly, so he could only hook onto Chi Yu’s neck.

This sentence seemed ineffective, and Chi Yu’s actions became rougher.

Tears were licked away, and Chi Yu leaned into his ear, instructing, “Why call me ‘brother’? Call me ‘husband.'”

Jiang Mo: “…”

Chi Yu: “You promised to listen to me.”

Jiang Mo covered his face and, before Chi Yu could do anything else mischievous, called out softly.

“…Husband.”

After this call, it was like reaching the end of a fuse. Instead of reining in, it became even more unrestrained.

The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 62

Most professional players will sign live streaming contracts, and the duration of the contracts with the streaming platforms varies for each team.

SVP team’s monthly live streaming duration is 40 hours, which is considered quite relaxed. On a full count, they can easily reach this by streaming a little over an hour every day. However, it’s challenging to stream every day, especially during matches, so missing streams is a common occurrence.

The next match is in three days, already halfway through the month. Xie Ning calculated the owed live streaming hours. After finishing the training match, he opened the live stream that had been idle for a long time. Viewers quickly flocked to the live stream room, and today’s atmosphere was different—[“Wish, aren’t you sitting next to Xie Ning?”]

[“Of course not, Wish is a substitute. He wouldn’t sit next to Xie Ning!”]

[“Xie Ning, did Wish not sign a live streaming contract? What’s his stream ID?”]

Xie Ning inwardly complained; Jiang Mo’s live stream had been blocked a long time ago. Where could he go to stream?

[Esteemed Diamond Cat Litter Official, RAG Tiny Tower has entered your live stream room]

[RAG Tiny Tower: “Xie Ning, don’t you read messages? Did you block my messages again?”]

Xu Ta had spent a good amount of money in Xie Ning’s live stream room, and his messages were pinned, ensuring Xie Ning would see them immediately.

Xie Ning raised an eyebrow and corrected him, “Who allowed you to address me directly? I’m your senior, call me senior.”

[RAG Tiny Tower: “I’ll call you that once you let me.”]

Xie Ning grinned and said, “Call me first, then I’ll let you.”

[RAG Tiny Tower: “Senior.”]

Xie Ning grinned wider, “Got it, you can stand down.”

[RAG Tiny Tower: “???”]

[RAG Tiny Tower: “Stupid, hurry! Let! Me! Out!”]

“Hahaha, I thought Xie Ning was naive enough, but even in front of you, he can show off his high intelligence!”]

[“Xie Ning, just let him out, the poor kid is really pitiful.”]

Xie Ning was just joking, and faced with Xu Ta’s barrage, he removed Xu Ta from the block list.

After the opening match that night, when he returned to the base, Xie Ning received questioning messages from Xu Ta.

Xu Ta had figured out that Jiang Mo was Moo and came to seek the truth from him.

Xie Ning neither confirmed nor denied, allowing Xu Ta to continue guessing.

Even though Xu Ta had clearly figured out the answer, he still came to ask, insisting on hearing Xie Ning say it before believing it.

Xie Ning playfully teased, intentionally being evasive, intentionally making Xu Ta anxious.

This time, Xu Ta asked him the same question again.

[RAG Official Jungler Xiao Ta: Is Wish Moo, right?]

[Xie Ning: Who is Moo?]

[RAG Official Jungler Xiao Ta: ……]

[RAG Official Jungler Xiao Ta: I checked Moo’s rank performance this month. He only played a few games this month.]

[Xie Ning: So what?]

[RAG Official Jungler Xiao Ta: Our coach mentioned that he sent a self-recommendation letter to our team before, which our manager rejected. He was pushing hard in the Korean server before, aiming to reach the top and get noticed by major teams.]

[Xie Ning: So what?]

[RAG Official Jungler Xiao Ta: He wants to go pro. Since he didn’t come to our team, we know the junglers from other teams, except for your Wish.]

[RAG Official Jungler Xiao Ta: Moo doesn’t have time to play on this account. He’s probably training with your team, right?]

[Xie Ning: So what?]

[RAG Official Jungler Xiao Ta: Are you only capable of saying this one phrase?]

[Xie Ning: So what?]

[RAG Official Jungler Xiao Ta: ……]

Xu Ta, infuriated, sent Xie Ning over a dozen facepalm emojis.

He looked up, his face full of anger. “I’m sure, Wish is Moo. Xie Ning’s evasive response, neither admitting nor denying, just proves I’m right.”

Gao Ze glanced at the manager, who looked thoroughly defeated, and said calmly, “Now that we know the opponent’s identity, the next encounter won’t be as simple, and we won’t let him score that easily.”

In the regular season, they wouldn’t face them again. Each team could only face their opponents once. If they wanted a rematch, they had to strive to make it to the playoffs and seek revenge then.

The RAG coach patted the manager’s shoulder. “Don’t show such an expression. How do you think Xu Ta and Ah Jin will feel? Even you think they’d lose to Moo?”

The manager replied, “That’s exactly what I think.”

Everyone: “…”

Manager: “Xiao Ta and Ah Jin have encountered Moo countless times in the Korean server. They’ve never had an advantage against Moo; the few wins were either due to the opponents’ mistakes or strong teamwork.”

Xu Ta & Ah Jin: “…” Manager, please stop, you’re hurting our pride.

The manager rubbed his temples. He didn’t mean to imply that the two junglers in the team were useless; otherwise, the management wouldn’t have allowed them to be part of the main team.

RAG team had been established for many years. Apart from the junglers, the rest of the main team were veterans. Top laner Best could play for another year, Captain Gao Ze and the bot lane duo could play for two more years. Their performance was still stable. However, the jungle position in RAG had consistently shown the most inconsistent performance.

Since the S7 World Championship, where they were thrashed by EK team, their previous jungler retired. RAG hadn’t produced an outstanding jungler since then, and the jungle roster changed every year. If they hadn’t rejected Jiang Mo at the time, Moo would have joined their team long ago. With Moo’s addition, he believed their team could relive the glory of S7 and even defeat EK to win the World Championship.

He only regretted that he had swiftly rejected an opportunity that could have increased their chances of winning the championship.

Well, what’s done is done. Overthinking won’t change anything.

Xu Ta and Ah Jin were both promising talents. He didn’t believe that their team couldn’t nurture the world’s best jungler.

However…In the LPL managers’ group chat—

[RAG·BigGuy: @SVP·BigTian, you jerk! Get out!]

[What happened?]

[BigGuy, BigTian just won two matches against you guys. Isn’t it too much to curse at him? Calm down!]

[Peace and prosperity!]

[RAG·BigGuy: Peace my foot!]

[What’s going on?]

[RAG·BigGuy: Wish is Moo!]

[….]

[……..]

[…………..]

[Is what you’re saying true?]

[RAG·BigGuy: Absolutely true. Do you guys remember DaTian’s reaction that day when we were regretting it?]

[Damn, come out @SVP·DaTian!]

[You love laughing so much, don’t you? @SVP·DaTian, you just wait for us; our team will punish you in the upcoming matches!]

[SVP·DaTian: Don’t be bitter. I’m not the one going on stage to compete, saying this won’t change anything.]

[Get lost!]

[Cherish the opportunity to laugh now because you won’t be able to later.]

[SVP·DaTian: I return this phrase to you all as well. But you know~]

[SVP·DaTian: Our player Wish is really amazing. Well, luckily, my keen eyes didn’t let a gem gather dust.]

[Get lost!!!]

[Brothers, I’m going to SVP’s base to strangle him. Remember to keep it a secret for me; if the police ask, you’ll vouch for me that I wasn’t there!]

[Go for it, we support you!]

[Strangle him and remember to take pictures for us!]

[SVP·DaTian: ……]

Da Tian apologized ‘sincerely’ to his buddies in the group, and this incident came to a close.

Since BigGuy and his gang had already figured out that Wish was Moo, there was no need to hide anything.

DacTian entered the rest area and sat down in the spot next to Jiang Mo. Jiang Mo was playing a solo queue game, so Da Tian waited until he finished the game before speaking up.

“Jiang Mo, I want to discuss something with you.”

“What?” Jiang Mo took off his headphones.

Da Tian: “Well, all of us in the team have signed contracts with Little Cat platform. I know you used to livestream on that platform. Despite some issues in the past, it won’t hinder us from continuing to cooperate with them. So, would you be willing to start livestreaming?”

Jiang Mo readily agreed, “Sure.”

Originally, he had declined the manager from Little Cat TV to focus on climbing the ranks.

Since everyone in the team had signed livestreaming contracts, he couldn’t afford to miss out. Besides, who would complain about having more money?

Jiang Mo was too agreeable, and Da Tian was a bit taken aback.

Not all professional players could solely rely on their professional gaming income; livestreaming was one of the main sources of revenue.

Players can choose to sign livestreaming contracts or refuse them, and generally, most people would agree.

Da Tian asked for Jiang Mo’s opinion, secretly hoping Jiang Mo would agree. Earning money was one reason, but there was another reason—

Based on just one match from the opening game, it couldn’t prove Wish’s skill. After revealing Moo’s identity, Jiang Mo would attract a lot of technical fans, but that wasn’t enough. Regular livestreaming could change the audience’s impression of Wish. He believed that with Jiang Mo’s abilities, he could definitely attract a large group of loyal fans.

Jiang Mo had achieved outstanding results when he livestreamed on Little Cat TV, which was the best proof.

Da Tian said with relief, “Since you agree, I’ll contact the manager at Little Cat TV now. Rest assured, the team will definitely negotiate the best livestreaming contract for you.”

Jiang Mo replied, “Okay.”

In the afternoon, Chi Yu went out and brought the ragdoll cat from home to the base. With Chi Yu by its side, the cat didn’t mind a change of environment.

Knowing that Chi Yu wanted to bring the cat over, Jiang Mo was very happy. He really liked that playful and affectionate cat.

He specifically asked for DaTian’s manager for advice, and after asking each member of the team if anyone was allergic to cat fur and confirming no objections, Jiang Mo happily told Chi Yu the news and urged Chi Yu to bring the cat over.

Chi Yu patted Jiang Mo’s head and praised, “So thoughtful.”

Everyone looked stunned, watching Jiang Mo grin like a fool.

Finally, they understood that the stern boss Chi was surprisingly a bit silly and sweet.

Once the cat arrived at the base, it was loved by everyone. Watching the plush cat being fought over by everyone, Jiang Mo felt that something was oddly off, but he seemed to have forgotten something.

The coach urged everyone to start the training matches. Even though Jiang Mo wasn’t playing, he had to watch from the sidelines. With the coach interrupting, he completely forgot about that matter.

At 2:30 AM, Jiang Mo finished a day of training, went back to his room, took a hot shower, and when he came out, Chi Yu was sitting on the bed, waiting for him. On the bedside table next to Chi Yu was a cup of warm milk.

Jiang Mo: “…”

This was something he did every day, a cup in the morning, and a cup before bed.

Jiang Mo walked over to Chi Yu, looking somewhat lethargic. Chi Yu smiled and put down the book he was halfway through, reaching out to pull Jiang Mo into his arms.

“Is drinking milk that difficult?” Chi Yu embraced Jiang Mo from behind, his big hand pinching Jiang Mo’s cheeks playfully.

Jiang Mo: “Milk has a fishy taste, and it doesn’t really have much flavor.”

Chi Yu picked up the cup and offered it to Jiang Mo. Jiang Mo twisted his brows and sipped it slowly.

Chi Yu fed him for a while and then moved the cup away, not because his hand got tired or he didn’t want to feed Jiang Mo anymore.

He drank a big gulp of milk from the rim of the cup that Jiang Mo had touched. Jiang Mo looked at Chi Yu in a daze, not understanding why Chi Yu was so easy-going, helping him finish the remaining milk. His chin was suddenly lifted, and Chi Yu’s face pressed against his, sealing his mouth with lips that had the taste of milk.

His Adam’s apple rolled a few times, and Jiang Mo swallowed the milk that Chi Yu had fed him. His face turned crimson, “You, what are you doing?”

“Do you dislike it?” Chi Yu asked back.

Jiang Mo: “… I don’t dislike it.”

“If you keep drinking so slowly, the milk will get cold.” Chi Yu had timed Jiang Mo’s shower to prepare the milk. When Jiang Mo came out, the temperature of the milk was just right.

“In the future, if you’re this slow again, I’ll feed you like this.” Chi Yu threatened.

“I’ll drink.” Jiang Mo said and took the cup from Chi Yu’s hand, downing the remaining milk in one go, making sure not to leave a drop. He was afraid Chi Yu would try to feed him mouth to mouth again.

Chi Yu patted Jiang Mo’s hair, praising, “That’s being obedient.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo: “I feel like you’re raising a child.”

No, it’s more like raising a cat. He had seen how carefully and tenderly Chi Yu took care of the ragdoll cat. It was the same.

Chi Yu’s eyes and brows curved up, “Yes, you’re my little one. Of course, I have to take care of you.”

Jiang Mo: “… You say it so nicely, it’s embarrassing.”

Thinking about the ragdoll cat, Jiang Mo remembered the matter that was interrupted in the evening.

He suddenly remembered. Chi Yu had mentioned before that the little cat was shy and if it smelled Chi Yu’s scent, it would calm down.

During the days at Chi Yu’s place, in order to pet the little cat, Jiang Mo always had to give Chi Yu a deep kiss each time before daring to pick up the little cat. Several times, he initiated the kisses with Chi Yu…

So, Chi Yu was lying to him!?

Jiang Mo, in his anxious state, disregarded his shyness. He grabbed Chi Yu’s collar and questioned, “Y-You, you said earlier that the little cat needs to smell your scent to be able to interact with strangers. W-Well, were you lying to me?”

Chi Yu was momentarily taken aback, thinking it would take a while for the little fool to discover this secret. Unexpectedly, Jiang Mo suddenly became clever.

Chi Yu remained composed, responding calmly, “It used to be like that.”

Jiang Mo asked, “So, you mean, it’s not like that anymore? How did it suddenly become better?”

Chi Yu explained, “The assistant who takes care of the little cat is a girl. She is gentle and patient, often taking the little cat to play with her friends. So, the cat has gained more courage.”

Jiang Mo realized, releasing his grip in embarrassment, “I-I’m sorry, I raised my voice a bit earlier.”

Chi Yu smirked mischievously, “Is an apology all you’ve got? You really hurt my feelings.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

Chi Yu lowered his eyes, sounding sad, “I’m so heartbroken. Mo Mo scolded me just because of this.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

Feeling awkward, Jiang Mo nervously imitated Chi Yu, trying to comfort himself. He touched Chi Yu’s face and said, “I-I really didn’t mean to. Please don’t be upset.”

Chi Yu remarked, “Is touching my face enough?”

“W-Well, what else do you want me to do?” Jiang Mo asked, wide-eyed.

NSFW (Not Safe For Work):   Show

Chi Yu reached out and took the cup away from Jiang Mo’s hand, placing it on the bedside table. Before Jiang Mo could react, his body was turned over by Chi Yu.

His back sank into the soft mattress, and Chi Yu pressed him over. “Mo Mo has done a bad thing, and to be fair, I have to do a bad thing too.”

A deep voice sounded in his ears.

Chi Yu spoke against his ear, and his warm breath hit the auricle.

Jiang Mo’s ears felt shameful.

It turned red and his earlobe was bitten by Chi Yuhan.

Chi Yu’s teeth and tongue were licking the soft flesh on his ears.

This was a novel experience.

The strange feeling spread from his ears to his limbs.

Jiang Mo lay flat on the bed, not daring to move. He felt Chi Yu’s lips release his earlobe, shift positions, and kiss his Adam’s apple and collarbone along his jaw, leaving almost no inch of skin untouched.

In June, the weather had already warmed up. You had to turn on the air conditioner when sleeping at night. The air conditioning in the room was sufficient, but Jiang Mo was sweating all over.

The fear of the unknown frightened Jiang Mo.

He finally thought of resisting, and with trembling hands, he pushed Chi Yu’s shoulder tentatively.

“Chi, Chi Yu, I, I, I… I promised Manager Da Tian that I would not do such a thing in the base…”

Chi Yu raised his head from Jiang Mo’s shoulder, with a smile on his lips: “What’s the matter?”

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo: “Just… that kind of thing.”

“What kind of thing is that? If you don’t explain it clearly, I won’t understand.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo’s voice was like a whisper: “It’s just what adults do.”

Chi Yu chuckled, kissed Jiang Mo’s cheek, and coaxed warmly: “Don’t worry, I won’t really do anything to you in the base.”

Jiang Mo breathed a sigh of relief, and Chi Yu’s words reassured him: “I will be gentle and won’t rush things.”

Jiang Mo: “?”

His lips were blocked again, and his body, which hadn’t had time to cool down, was even hotter than before. Chi Yu thoughtfully helped Jiang Mo take off his clothes.

Tears overflowed from his eyes. Jiang Mo stretched out his arms and wanted to touch the power switch beside the bed. His fingertips almost touched it, but Chi Yu caught his finger.

“What do you want to do?”

Jiang Mo: “Turn off, turn off the lights.” If the light is too bright, he will feel ashamed.

Chi Yu’s pale pupils had already turned deep. He licked his moist lower lip, squeezed his fingers between Jiang Mo’s, and interlocked with Jiang Mo’s ten fingers.

“You can turn off the lights, but you have to make me happy first, and then I’ll turn off the lights for you.”

Jiang Mo: “How, how can I coax you?”

Chi Yu kissed Jiang Mo’s red eyelids and said in a hoarse voice, “Call me brother.”

“Brother.” The soft voice carried a pitiful cry. Chi Yu’s heart softened, but having a soft heart was useless.

“Be good, tell me the complete story.”

Jiang Mo choked with sobs, buried half of his face in the pillow, and whispered: “Brother, can you turn off the lights?”

“good.”

The lights in the room were turned off, and the room fell into darkness, with Jiang Mo’s shyness hidden in the darkness.

Although he could no longer see, the shame continued to ferment.

With his eyes closed, he could feel the warmth of Chi Yu’s lips and tongue. When he opened his eyes, with his eyes adapted to the darkness, he could see the shadow of Chi Yu lying next to his legs on the white wall.

Uncomfortable.

Jiang Mo raised his hands to cover his face; tears wet his palms and flowed out between his fingers.

“Liar.” Jiang Mo couldn’t help it and muttered in a low voice, “I-I obviously said I wouldn’t do anything…”

Chi Yu laughed silently. He wiped the liquid from his mouth and looked at Jiang Mo with pity.

He said that, but still acquiesced to his behavior. The greatest courage was to beg him to turn off the lights. If he didn’t bully such a stupid guy, wouldn’t Jiang Mo’s innocence be wasted?

“What did you say?” Chi Yu used force and pinched Jiang Mo’s ankle bone.

Jiang Mo sniffed and sobbed: “I was wrong, brother…”

Jiang Mo slept relatively late last night, but when he woke up, he felt much better than usual.

The memories from last night were too deep. Jiang Mo splashed his face with water from the basin and soaked it for a long time to calm down.

Jiang Mo asked the coach for a half-day leave and was led by Da Tian to the headquarters of Little Cat Platform. Da Tian was very efficient, and what Jiang Mo had promised yesterday was settled with the other party today.

Accompanying Jiang Mo this time was Chi Yu.

Seeing Chi Yu alone was fine, anyway, the two of them had done that kind of thing not for the first time, but Da Tian was sitting next to him.

Just thinking about what he had assured Da Tian, Jiang Mo felt like hiding in a hole out of embarrassment.

He felt guilty towards the manager and the team. He had done shameless things with Chi Yu inside the sacred base. He felt like a tainted person.

“Don’t be nervous. The supervisor at Little Cat TV is easy to talk to. I already talked to him yesterday. Although you’re a substitute, the contract will still be based on the starting standard. Just go meet him, have a chat, and sign the contract,” Da Tian, acting like a concerned mother, said to shift Jiang Mo’s focus, knowing that Jiang Mo was easily shy and had some social anxiety.

Jiang Mo perfunctorily said, “Oh.”

The two of them had no understanding of each other’s inner thoughts. Jiang Mo was concerned about what happened last night, while Da Tian was worried about Jiang Mo’s emotions.

The three of them took a car and arrived at the headquarters of Little Cat Platform. Supervisor Cao Xing received the message and personally came down to greet them.

While chatting with Cao Xing, Da Tian mentioned that Jiang Mo was Moo, revealing Jiang Mo’s identity.

Earlier, Cao Xing had felt down because of being rejected by MOMO, and what was even more irritating was that MOMO’s boyfriend was being completely unreasonable.

Although disturbing a couple in the middle of the night was his fault, how could that person be so annoying in the middle of the night?

He still vividly remembered that self-satisfied familiar voice that lingered in his dreams in the dead of the night.

The other party didn’t explicitly state, but every word reminded him—

“Are you single? Sorry, I’m not! My boyfriend gains fans and makes money. You fool, not cherishing my darling, regretting it now, hahaha.”

Hearing Da Tian’s slip of the tongue, Cao Xing was greatly surprised.

Moo=MOMO=the traffic that escaped from their platform.

To regain it, and for the other party to come forward on their own, Cao Xing was overjoyed.

All the rejections from MOMO, all the talk about MOMO’s boyfriend, he had completely forgotten.

Cao Xing laughed, showing his eight teeth. When he saw Chi Yu walk in, he wasn’t surprised. When other contestants came for signings, actor Chi was the one accompanying them. Actor Chi was truly a good boss. Being his employee was so fulfilling. If it weren’t for Da Tian in SVP, he would have willingly taken a pay cut to join the SVP team.

“Actor Chi” Cao Xing smiled and greeted him as he approached.

Chi Yu had a faint smile on his face and shook hands with Cao Xing.

When Cao Xing’s gaze fell on Jiang Mo behind Chi Yu, he was stunned. He liked Chi Yu, so naturally, he recognized Jiang Mo’s face. People who followed entertainment gossip knew that Jiang Mo was Chi Yu’s publicly acknowledged boyfriend.

Tsk tsk, being in the honeymoon phase was indeed different, always sticking together.

But seriously, is white hair a trend now? Why did Jiang Mo dye his hair white?

“Hello, I’m Cao Xing,” Cao Xing smiled and extended his hand to Jiang Mo.

This supervisor was still as warm and welcoming as ever!

Jiang Mo sighed and was halfway through reaching when Chi Yu grabbed his hand, leaving Cao Xing hanging, awkwardly looking at their intertwined fingers.

Chi Yu still wore a faint smile and locked eyes with Cao Xing.

Cao Xing immediately understood Chi Yu’s intention and turned to chat with Da Tian.

It was normal to be possessive of one’s boyfriend. If it were Actor Chi, then it was fine, just a small matter.

The super idol’s super filter made Cao Xing overlook this as a minor incident.

“Has the Wish player not arrived yet?” After a brief chat, Cao Xing finally mentioned today’s important figure.

He thought the other person hadn’t arrived yet, never realizing that Jiang Mo was the Wish who had made a stunning debut, overwhelming the RAG team.

Da Tian: “…” Right in front of you. Isn’t the person you’ve been scrutinizing the very ‘Wish’ you’re talking about?

Da Tian patted Jiang Mo’s shoulder and explained, “This is our new jungle player, Wish.”

Cao Xing: “…”

Cao Xing widened his eyes, looking at Jiang Mo in disbelief.

Distant memories suddenly crashed into him. He looked at Jiang Mo with a twisted expression, just like he had swallowed a dozen flies.

“I am the boyfriend of Lu Yu’s brother.”

“Do you want to talk to him? He can’t answer the phone; he’s too tired and already sleeping next to me.”

The voice from back then, slightly triumphant, dealing a ruthless blow to this single guy, echoed in his ears.

Darn it, so it’s you?!

TPPMR

The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 61

The shadows of two people embracing were reflected on the glass door, and in Chi Yu’s heart, it felt like a little deer had bumped into it, and the smile on his lips couldn’t be stopped.

Looking up at the white-haired youth on the high platform from below, at that moment, he felt the distance between him and Jiang Mo was far.

In his memories, that young man who would easily blush and shy away from meeting someone’s gaze also revealed such sharp eyes. He was shining on his own stage, and all he could do was admire him from below.

At this moment, the white-haired youth pushed open the door and dove into his embrace.

Jiang Mo’s rare enthusiasm filled Chi Yu with ecstatic joy, but he was afraid of scaring Jiang Mo, so he didn’t dare to let the wild beast within him come out.

Chi Yu rested his chin on Jiang Mo’s soft hair, gently nuzzling it. Through the thin summer jacket, his hands could distinctly feel the slightly protruding bones on Jiang Mo’s back. In just half a month, Jiang Mo had changed a lot—grown taller, become leaner, exuding a youthful aura, and the new hair color suited him well.

“You’ve gotten thinner again,” Chi Yu murmured, a tinge of dissatisfaction in his tone, but his voice was gentle, afraid of alarming Jiang Mo.

Jiang Mo lifted his head from Chi Yu’s embrace. He still had a mask on his face, and the cold gaze for the camera was nowhere to be seen. His eyes were now filled with warm lights.

“It’s…it’s a matter of constitution,” Jiang Mo said, feeling guilty inside. For the sake of training, he indeed hadn’t been eating properly.

Chi Yu playfully patted the back of Jiang Mo’s head, as if punishing him, and ruffled his hair. “Why is it that whenever I’m not around, you can’t take good care of yourself?”

Jiang Mo lowered his head, obediently listening to Chi Yu’s reprimand. Then he remembered something and asked, “Why did you suddenly come back? Weren’t you supposed to come back in another month?”

Receiving Chi Yu’s message out of the blue, he almost thought Chi Yu was teasing him, making him happy for no reason.

Chi Yu smiled gently. “I wanted to surprise you. I lied about being assigned to another group. That day wasn’t the official wrap-up; Director Qin asked me to stay and reshoot a few scenes that were missed earlier. I finished today and came back to see you immediately.”

Jiang Mo blinked, not getting angry because of Chi Yu’s little trick, and squeezed Chi Yu’s hand tighter. “I…I’m so happy.”

Chi Yu took off Jiang Mo’s mask and gently touched Jiang Mo’s increasingly delicate facial contours, smiling softly. “What did I tell you last time?”

“Hmm?”Chi Yu asked, “What should you do the next time you see me?”

“I, didn’t I already do it last time?”

He had willingly hugged Chi Yu, he remembered.

“What else?”

Thinking about the last lesson, Jiang Mo blushed.

Chi Yu pressed against Jiang Mo’s head, extinguishing any thought of escape. Jiang Mo bit his lip and had worn height-increasing insoles in his shoes. Out of habit, he tiptoed a bit, looked up, and kissed Chi Yu’s lips. Anticipating a quick retreat, Chi Yu firmly pushed his head forward, turning from defense to offense, effortlessly parting Jiang Mo’s lips and gently delving in.

Seemingly gentle, but actually harboring danger.

Jiang Mo couldn’t catch his breath, desperately trying to remember the breathing technique that Chi Yu had taught him. It had been a long time since they had seen each other. He was reluctant to push Chi Yu away. Despite Chi Yu forcefully parting his lips, he felt like a dehydrated fish, opening his mouth to seek breath. His lips and tongue were blocked, and he could only emit an unbearable moan through his nose, seeking help from the person in front of him.

“Haven’t learned it yet?” Chi Yu released Jiang Mo, gently wiping away the moisture on his lower lip with his thumb.

Jiang Mo’s eyes were red, eyelashes dampened by tears. His nose twitched slightly as he breathed rapidly, unable to utter a word in response.

“It seems I can’t leave your side until I’ve taught you,” Chi Yu said.

Upon hearing Chi Yu’s words, Jiang Mo tightly gripped Chi Yu’s clothes, his breath unsteady. “Th-then, I… I might never learn it…”

If he didn’t learn, Chi Yu would stay by his side forever.

That soft voice resonated in Chi Yu’s heart.

Chi Yu pressed Jiang Mo’s head into his chest and sighed helplessly. “Are you trying to drive me crazy?”

How could someone be so adorable?

There were not many people at the back entrance—it was a parking area. The contestants would pass through here after their competitions.

Standing by the main gate and hugging each other was not a good idea; if someone found out, they would surely trend on social media again tonight.

Chi Yu grabbed Jiang Mo’s hand and pulled the still dazed Jiang Mo onto the SVP team’s bus.

As Jiang Mo was pushed into the seat at the back of the bus by Chi Yu, he finally came to his senses. During the competition, the driver would go nearby to grab a meal, and there was no one on the bus now.

“How… how did you know our team’s bus is here?” Jiang Mo asked.

Chi Yu: “I just knew.”

“Oh,” Jiang Mo didn’t ask further. Whatever Chi Yu said, he believed. “Why are we getting on the bus?”

Chi Yu countered, “Don’t you want to go back to the base? Do you want to come home with me?”

Jiang Mo stammered, “I-I didn’t mean that.”

The summer tournament has already begun, and the team does not allow players to go out on their own. He certainly wouldn’t dare to go home with Chi Yu.

Jiang Mo told Chi Yu about this: “I’m sorry. I’m happy you’re back, but now I’m the one bailing on you. We might have to be apart for a while, not too long, at most, maybe two, two months.”

The more he said it, the more guilty he felt.

He was looking forward to Chi Yu’s return so much, and Chi Yu actually came back as he had hoped. Yet, he was the one having to keep Chi Yu waiting for two months.

Chi Yu suppressed a smile, pretending to be unhappy, his voice turning colder: “Oh, I see.”

Jiang Mo grabbed Chi Yu’s sleeve, anxious, “You, please don’t be upset. I’m a substitute with limited playing time. After I go back, I’ll beg the manager to allow me to go out twice a week. I’ll make time to spend with you.”

He could sacrifice a few hours of sleep after he came back, training extra hours every day to make up for the time off.

Chi Yu: “I ended the filming half a month early for you, and I didn’t expect to hear this kind of news when I came back. I really will be unhappy.”

Jiang Mo: “Th-then what should we do? Can you please not be upset?”

The streetlights shone on the car window, the light insufficient, and the car interior remained dim. Jiang Mo didn’t see the fleeting smile on Chi Yu’s face.

“Sure, but you have to compensate.”

“W-what compensation?”Chi Yu’s fingertips slid over Jiang Mo’s slender jawline, his gaze gradually deepening: “Kiss me, please me, until I am satisfied.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

“Hurry, your teammates are coming back. If you delay, they’ll find out,” Chi Yu urged without a hint of conscience.

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo sat up straight, pulling Chi Yu’s shoulder towards him. When Chi Yu’s face drew closer to his, he covered Chi Yu’s lips with his own.

It wasn’t the first time he had initiated a kiss with Chi Yu. Chi Yu had guided him several times, teaching him how to get used to kissing and how to do it.

Except for gaming, he was clumsy at everything. They had kissed so many times, but he still couldn’t learn it properly.

As expected, this time, he couldn’t satisfy Chi Yu’s desires. After his lips parted, Chi Yu licked his lower lip and said dissatisfied, “Is that it?”

Jiang Mo felt like a student who had failed a test, hanging his head dejectedly as if being scolded by a teacher. Just when Chi Yu thought Jiang Mo was about to cry in embarrassment, Jiang Mo suddenly stood up.

NSFW (Not Safe For Work):   Show

Chi Yu was taken aback. Jiang Mo turned around, kneeling on the seat, towering over him.

Chi Yu’s heart thumped heavily. Jiang Mo lifted both hands and cupped his face.

In the dim light, the white hair stood out. Jiang Mo’s skin was very fair, and the flush that emerged was vividly visible on his face.

Chi Yu witnessed Jiang Mo’s embarrassment, gave up on being the aggressor, and patiently waited for the prey to take the initiative.

This kiss was different from the previous ones. Jiang Mo seemed to have been pushed to his limit and loosened up considerably.

Following Jiang Mo’s lead, he parted his lips, teased Jiang Mo’s tongue with his own, and when he wanted to deepen the kiss, Jiang Mo retreated a bit.

Chi Yu’s Adam’s apple bobbed incessantly as the desire to possess grew increasingly wild.

Jiang Mo drew closer again. He bit Chi Yu’s lower lip, causing a bit of pain. Following that, his tongue was held captive and bitten, sending a tingling sensation.

Jiang Mo successfully tempted him with his awkward method. He abandoned waiting and restraint, chasing after Jiang Mo’s lips and tongue, starting a frenzied conquest.

Jiang Mo’s knees grew weaker, unable to support his straightened upper body. He sat on Chi Yu’s thighs, his spine supported by Chi Yu’s palm. Chi Yu’s hand roamed over his raised shoulder blades, and fine beads of sweat gradually covered his body. The spacious compartment wasn’t crowded at all. The temperature in the small area where they were sitting was gradually rising, and condensation started forming on the glass.

“It hurts,” Jiang Mo said as his clavicle was bitten. His eyelashes trembled, and he let out a plaintive cry, his voice hoarse and pitiful.

Chi Yu lightly licked the bite mark on Jiang Mo’s clavicle, soothing the little frightened kitten in his embrace.

Footsteps and voices could be heard outside the car window.

Chi Yu suppressed the intense desire in his eyes and gently placed the weak Jiang Mo back in his original position. He took off his coat and covered Jiang Mo with it, then helped Jiang Mo put his mask back on to prevent others from noticing Jiang Mo’s oddly flushed face.

“Chi Chi Chi…” When Jiang Mo was not found backstage, everyone decided to look for him on the bus. As soon as they boarded, they saw Jiang Mo and Chi Yu sitting in the back row, leaving Xie Ning startled and stumbling over his words.

Chi Yu raised his index finger to his lips, and the chattering people instantly fell silent like chickens. They looked at Jiang Mo, whose eyes were closed, thinking he was asleep, and became even more hesitant to make a sound.

Jiang Mo wasn’t actually asleep; he was simply too shy to face anyone.

Just earlier, he had kissed Chi Yu in the car, and now his teammates were sitting in the front seats.

It felt like being caught doing something wrong; he felt embarrassed from head to toe.

Due to the mask’s barrier, Chi Yu’s scent was trapped between the mask and his nose, filled with Chi Yu’s fragrance, making him experience an unfamiliar sensation throughout his whole body—it was so peculiar.

This kiss was slightly different from the ones before, possibly due to their seating position. He not only felt his own changes but also sensed Chi Yu’s changes, similar to the changes during those two times at the hotel.

“You, you’re not angry, right?” The car was approaching the familiar road; they were nearing the team base. Only then did Jiang Mo dare to speak to Chi Yu about what had happened.

Chi Yu: “Not angry.”

Jiang Mo’s eyes brightened: “Th-that’s great.”

Chi Yu felt like Jiang Mo was melting his heart.

“How…how will you get back later? I’ll ask the driver, Uncle, to go through the trouble again and take you back.”

Chi Yu: “Are you trying to rush me away?”

Jiang Mo hurriedly explained: “No, it’s not like that…”

The team doesn’t accommodate outsiders, and even if Chi Yu is a star, it wouldn’t work. Manager Da Tian wouldn’t agree.

Chi Yu smiled, “I’ve already spoken to your manager. Today, I’m staying at your base.”

Jiang Mo was stunned, “Is…is that okay?”

“Yeah.” Chi Yu gently tapped Jiang Mo’s curled eyelashes, “I have a good relationship with your team’s boss. I told him, and he agreed.”

“Really?” Jiang Mo’s eyes lit up, “Th-then how long can you stay?”

Is it just for a day? He wanted to spend more time with Chi Yu.

Chi Yu hesitated, “It’s difficult to communicate with your boss. If I ask to stay for a day, he’ll ask for a lot in return. If I stay for a few more days, he’ll probably fleece me completely.”

“Oh, is that so? Th-then just stay for a day,” Jiang Mo felt a little disappointed.

Didn’t Chi Yu say the team boss is a good person, and the manager also said the team boss is easy to talk to?

Are businessmen really all about profit?

He didn’t want Chi Yu to sacrifice too much for him.

“No, I don’t want to stay just for a day. I don’t have any work in the second half of the year. I want to accompany you to finish the summer season and go to the World Championships. Didn’t you say for me to keep watching over you?” Chi Yu blinked, and his voice was pleasant, making Jiang Mo’s heart race.

“For you, even if he takes more from me, it’s worth it. He’s not asking for much, considering what I’m doing for you. From now on, you must listen to me obediently.” Chi Yu gently patted Jiang Mo’s disheartened head.

Jiang Mo nodded vigorously, “Listen! I’ll definitely listen to you.”

Chi Yu’s lips curled slightly, “You’ll listen to whatever I say?”

Jiang Mo replied, “I’ll listen to everything!”

Da Tian sat in the back row, two rows of seats separating him from Jiang Mo and Chi Yu. The car was quiet, and the voices of the two speaking drifted into his ears.

Da Tian’s expression twisted as he secretly glanced at Jiang Mo, whose brows and eyes were curved in happiness.

This kid is really cute in his innocence.

He stole another glance at Chi Yu. Chi Yu had his face turned to the side, smiling very gently. This smile appeared tender to Jiang Mo but seemed malicious and calculating to him.

Deceiving an innocent 19-year-old boy, have they no shame!

Back at the base, due to Chi Yu’s presence by Jiang Mo’s side, Xie Ning and the others didn’t cling to Jiang Mo as usual. As soon as they arrived, they rushed into the training room to start their individual training, pretending to be diligent.

“Manager, this is Chi Yu. You, you should recognize him, right? We met backstage after the spring tournament,” Jiang Mo said, introducing Chi Yu to Da Tian.

Da Tian forced a fake smile, “Recognize, of course I do. Chi the Movie Star, who doesn’t know him!”

Jiang Mo said sheepishly, “Well, um, you must have received the message from the boss. Chi Yu wants to stay at our base for a while.”

Da Tian: “…I received it.”

Da Tian had received the message from Boss Chi even before getting off the car. Boss Chi told him not to blabber, so naturally, he dared not speak, suppressing his conscience and colluding with Boss Chi.

There was no choice. Boss Chi was the big boss, and he was just an employee. Although he felt sorry for Jiang Mo, what could his regret achieve?

Thinking carefully, this was just a little fun between a couple.

Jiang Mo asked, “Manager, where will Chi Yu stay tonight? There should be spare rooms in the base, right?”

Da Tian looked at Chi Yu. Chi Yu stood behind Jiang Mo, giving him a cold, indifferent look.

Da Tian lied without a blush, “Well, those vacant rooms haven’t been cleaned for a long time, and they have mice. The mattresses are full of mouse droppings. I was planning to have someone clean them in the next few days.”

Mice?

Are there mice in the base?

How come he didn’t see them?

“Is that so?” Jiang Mo looked at Chi Yu and suggested, “How about, you, you stay in the same room with me? Is that okay?”

Chi Yu smiled, “Up to you, I’m fine with anything.”

Da Tian thought, “Hmm, saying ‘I’m fine with anything.’ You’re probably already thrilled inside.”

“Well,” Chi Yu had his luggage ready long ago. He moved his suitcase to Jiang Mo’s room. Da Tian stopped Jiang Mo, who was about to go upstairs.

“Manager, what’s the matter?”

Da Tian’s conscience bothered him, his expression awkward. He tactfully reminded Jiang Mo, “Just be careful.”

Jiang Mo was puzzled, “What do you mean?”

Da Tian: “It’s currently the summer tournament. Chi… Chi Yu moving in is fine, but I hope you pay attention.”

Jiang Mo blushed, stammering, “I… I’ll be careful. Manager, you can trust me. I absolutely won’t do those things in the base.”

Da Tian’s face turned red at what Jiang Mo said.

He didn’t mean that. He just wanted Jiang Mo to be more cautious. How to strategize in the game, he was always so naive in daily life.

Really…

“Ah,” Da Tian sighed deeply. “I didn’t mean it that way. Everyone acknowledges your skill. They know Chi Yu is your boyfriend and won’t gossip about you. I just hope you… Ah, forget it. Just be good with Chi Yu.”

Da Tian didn’t know how to express it anymore. Looking at Jiang Mo’s bewildered expression, he felt Jiang Mo probably wouldn’t understand even if he said more.

Forget it, why should he meddle in others’ business?

Jiang Mo didn’t understand. Hearing Da Tian’s last sentence, he curled his lips and said, “Th-thank you, Manager. I’ll be good with him.”

Da Tian: “…”

Da Tian couldn’t help but reach out and pat Jiang Mo’s head of white hair.

Silly child.

Jiang Mo: “?”

Jiang Mo’s room was personally decorated by Chi Yu, from the wall colors to the curtains, bedsheets, and the furnishings in the room, all according to Jiang Mo’s preferences.

Ever since he knew Jiang Mo wanted to go pro, he began arranging things, seemingly certain that Jiang Mo would join his team.

Jiang Mo was alone and didn’t need such a large bed, but he arranged a queen-sized bed for Jiang Mo.

Chi Yu didn’t have much luggage and packed quickly. Jiang Mo entered the room a bit later, and Chi Yu had almost finished tidying up.

“Iced fruit juice, want some?” Jiang Mo held two cups of fruit juice and walked up to Chi Yu.

Chi Yu touched the cup and found it very cold.

He scoffed, “You don’t eat properly usually, and you’re drinking something so cold at this hour?”

Jiang Mo stammered, “I-I do eat properly.”

Chi Yu said, “Eating properly made you this thin?”

The joy of their reunion waned, and Chi Yu finally had time to carefully inspect Jiang Mo. The previously plump cheeks now had a distinct jawline, the skin was still in good condition, but the texture probably wasn’t as soft as before.

Thinking this, Chi Yu reached up and pinched Jiang Mo’s cheek.

Fortunately, while there was less flesh, the texture was still good. It just wasn’t as soft as before.

Chi Yu : “Now that I have time to be with you, for every bit of weight you lose, you’ll have to gain it back for me. If you don’t gain it back after the summer tournament, I won’t let you off.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo asked, “W-what do you mean by ‘won’t let me off’?”

Chi Yu smiled and didn’t answer.

Since food can’t fill you up, how about something else…

He was afraid Jiang Mo would be frightened if he said it like this, but he was finding it hard to hold back.

Because, compared to black hair, the white-haired Jiang Mo was even more stunning to him. At first glance, he looked like an otherworldly elf that had escaped from the forest, not succumbing to the mundane, which also reminded Chi Yu of the little ragdoll cat The “Ragdoll cat” is a breed known for its gentle and affectionate temperament, often described as behaving like a “floppy plush toy” due to its relaxed nature when picked up.back at home.

The current Jiang Mo was more like his little kitty.

When he first saw Jiang Mo, he wanted to gather him into his arms and give him a good rubdown, and the desire to touch him deepened a bit.

Chi Yu took the cup from Jiang Mo’s hand, took a big sip of the iced fruit juice, and suppressed the dryness in his throat.

Speaking of which, Jiang Mo had gotten taller. Chi Yu looked at Jiang Mo’s shoes and asked, “Did you use height insoles?”

Jiang Mo nodded, “I’m afraid some fans might recognize me, so I added three centimeters.”

No wonder it felt a bit different when he hugged Jiang Mo just now.

Chi Yu pulled Jiang Mo closer and hugged him again.

This height is indeed more comfortable than before.

“Don’t drink fruit juice in the future. This kind of juice isn’t freshly squeezed. If you want to grow taller, then drink milk.”

Jiang Mo stammered, “I-I don’t like drinking milk.”

The taste is strange.

Chi Yu smiled, “After the growth period, it’s too late to think about getting taller.”

Jiang Mo said, “I’ll drink!”

Jiang Mo had gotten used to sleeping with Chi Yu, and lying on the same bed was no longer as nervewracking as the first time.

With several days of inadequate rest, he would fall asleep as soon as he touched the bed. He didn’t know that the person next to him hadn’t slept for a long time, and had spent a long time rubbing him. He slept like a log and couldn’t be woken no matter how much commotion there was.

Professional players usually adapted their schedules for late-night matches, often staying up until late.

Jiang Mo got up promptly at ten o’clock. Usually, he was the first one to arrive at the training room.

Today, before ten-thirty, everyone was already present in the training room.

What’s going on?

How did these people suddenly become so proactive?

Chi Yu got up with Jiang Mo. He had specially made breakfast for Jiang Mo in the kitchen, but in the blink of an eye, Jiang Mo had left the dining room. He had finished the sandwich on the plate, but there was still half a cup of untouched milk.

Jiang Mo voiced his confusion, “Why did you all wake up so early? Don’t you usually need the manager to yell at you to get up?”

Chi Yu walked into the training room with a cup of milk, and a team of five instantly straightened their backs.

“Haha, you must be joking. When do we ever?”

“Xie Ning, I’ll go top lane to help you,” Xia Zeyu interrupted Jiang Mo’s next sentence, his voice serious.

Xie Ning also spoke seriously, “Nice, that was a great gank. Xiao Yu, you’ve improved again.”

Xia Zeyu said, “No, you’ve become more formidable. That last gank, without your help, I wouldn’t have gotten the double kill. Compared to you, I still have a lot to learn.”

Li Yuan said, “Little Cherry, your last-hitting is really impressive. How do you manage to get every last hit so cleanly? It seems like the result of recent extra practice. Look at the enemy AD, they’re ten CS behind you. You’re amazing.”

Tang Zi remained silent.

Tao Zi added, “Yes, everyone is diligently training every day, never slacking off, and no one dares to oversleep or leave early!”

Jiang Mo wondered, “???” Why is today’s atmosphere so strange?!

Chi Yu glanced at the group of five, not paying any attention to what they were saying. He offered the cup to Jiang Mo, near his lips. “Where would you like to go if you haven’t finished drinking?”

Jiang Mo stammered, “I-I can’t finish it.”

Chi Yu said, “Even if you can’t finish it, you have to. Or maybe, would you like me to feed you with my mouth?”

The group of five: “…”

Jiang Mo’s face blushed in an instant. He took the cup, frowned, and quickly finished the remaining milk in one go.
